oh yes please this hit every kink on the way down my tree

Gah. Not how I was planning on spending my night.^^° Anyway, have Matt and Foggy on the way home from the bar. Also, this seems to be firmly heading into slash territory, but I'm not exactly surprised...

„Stop TAPPING so loudly!“ To Matt's senses, Foggy's kick against his cane is telegraphed, but he still makes himself take an insecure stumble and give a little gasp as it impacts.
„You don't need the damn thing anyway,“ Foggy's hand closes around the handle – Matt thinks he would probably be the only one to hear the underlying dry humour in the statement, Foggy knowing full well he'd get that joke – and he therefore offers no resistance when the cane is yanked out of his hand.

„I'll lead you. Teach you to act like you're ashamed to be seen next to me,“ Foggy slurs, and this time it's hard for Matt to maintain the crestfallen and slightly frightened expression when Foggy takes his hand and tucks it into the familiar spot inside his elbow, something he has barely done ever since he found out about Matt's senses. The immediate spark of happiness as his fingers press into the warm skin beneath Foggy's shirt sleeve takes Matt enough by surprise that he has to struggle for a moment to suppress the widest smile – and then has to consciously control himself even more when he realizes that Foggy's heart just skipped a beat at the contact, too.

„Don't, uh...grab. So tightly. You do things bad. Um.“ Foggy's voice is somewhat strangled as he tries to keep his persona upright, and finally Matt has to give in and laugh. His grip on Foggy's arm becomes even tighter as a result, but it doesn't matter much, and it's actually helpful to have something to hold onto as he tries to muffle his amusement with his other hand.

„Matt!“ This time it's Foggy who hisses in warning. „What are you-?“
„Nah, it's fine,“ Matt interrupts him. „Last person walking after us turned into a different direction half a minute ago. At the moment there's no one around who could hear or see anyhing of us.“

„Oh. Right,“ Foggy says, sounding slightly sheepish, before recovering „Reckon you could have told me about this, owl ears? Play-acting this jerk is hard work and now I just feel silly.“

„Sorry,“ Matt repeats for the third time that night, but this time he's unabashedly grinning. Foggy gives a defeated sigh.
„Pearls before swine, honestly. Well. Guess you can take this back, then-“ with his free hand he holds the cane over to Matt again, and makes a movement to disentangle his elbow from Matt's grip.
Matt surprises himself when he doesn't let him.

„No,“ he says before he can stop himself, tightening his grip only marginally. Foggy pauses in his movement and turns his head toward him, probably giving him a questioning glance.
„I'm giving you a questioning glance,“ he confirms.
Matt snorts. „I figured.“ Then he swallows, tries to explain himself. „I, uh, you don't...have to let go,“ he says, even though he's the one holding on. „Actually, I kinda missed this.“

Even in the cool night air, he can feel his cheeks becoming somewhat warmer. He is kind of glad Foggy doesn't share his heat vision.
„...really?“ Foggy asks after a moment. Matt shrugs.
„It's nice. I don't have to concentrate as much. And it always felt...right.“

„Oh. Okay, then,“ Foggy, surprisingly, just nods. „Then I guess in this case...wanna seem authentic the rest of the way home?“

....yeah, so far. I would definitely have thought for the serial killer to be an OC (I know far too little of the various Marvel small-time villains, anyway) but I'm still wondering what would be a cool way to get them to notice Foggy and Matt, and where a final confrontation could happen. Like, killer comes to Foggy's place while Matt is out Daredeviling? Killer comes into their law firm to pose as a client? And what kind of places should Matt and Foggy go on 'dates'? Clubs and bars seem a given, but where else would be fun....?

Aw, this is so cute.

D'aww, cute and funny and slightly disturbing to have Foggy acting like an ass like that.
