Killgrave was one-dimensional. That's why he wasn't scary to me, because no person in real life can actually be that kind of single-trait character. Also, when you have your serial rapist character lock children in a closet just to show off how evil he is, it all kind of goes from grim to cartoonish as far as I'm concerned. It just doesn't seem to bear emotional authenticity to me anymore.

Meanwhile, watching Fisk was REALLY unsettling, because no matter how many people I saw him murder, my mind still told me that he's not a bad person. It showed me how thin the line between good and evil really is, and that - that's some scary shit. Watching Fisk forced me to look inside my own head, and I didn't like what I saw in the dark corners of it that he pointed me to.

Kilgrave doesn't seem one-dimensional to me, just incredibly selfish, sociopathic, and spoiled. He tries being a hero and is singularly obsessed with Jessica, but also does random evil shit because it amuses him and he's used to getting away with it. He reminds me of very real people I've know. /we have different experiences

I dunno, man, Fisk seems just funny to me because he's picked a really bad career choice. Like, he should be the mob henchman and not the boss, you know?
