Iron Fist's punch vs Matt's hearing/equilibrium

If there's a shockwave every time Danny whips his glowing fist, wouldn't that be like Matt standing next to a pile of exploding TNT? It seems highly directional, but still, for someone with Matt's heightened senses, it seems like something that would affect him when Danny breaks Elektra's sword right next to Matt, more or less above his head.

It did. There's a scene where after a punch, Matt is covering his ears and clearly struggling with the sound.

I don't remember which ep. that was, sorry. One of the later ones, I think. (I'm sure someone else will be happy to help you out with that, if you need it.)

It's episode 6 but I think the ano means exactly that. Matt was affected when the first hit Luke yet not against the sword or the hand warriors

Ah. Okay, I see your point. Adrenaline thing? That sword was about to kill him, if I remember correctly. Not really a moment in which you think about one of your senses being uncomfortable.

Alternatively, we can just pile it onto that heap with all the other plot holes and inconsistences.

Different/new anon here; I just rewatched ep 3, &, compared to ep (5? 6? the other one), there's way less of a ~visible shock wave. The punch in ep 5/6 throws even Danny himself back, whereas the one in 3 just breaks the sword & tosses Electra back-so it looks like the force of the punch in ep 3 was just much less.

Also, it does take a second or two after Danny holds out his hand for Matt to take it & stand up--could be because he was assessing Danny, but could also be because he was a little stunned. So it's maybe a bit of a plot hole, but I don't think one of the biggerones.
