SAME. I had all the same questions. I am fine with mysteries and even plot holes - but what bothered me is that the four Defenders all instantly grasped somehow that the city would collapse from the Hand's actions down there. Like, how did you all understand that - none of the viewers did.

I legitimately did not entirely understand the plot tbh. What was with the dragon bones? What was Danny the key to???

They needed Danny to use the Iron Fist - the literal fist - to open the door. That part I understood. He was too stupid not to fight Elektra right in front of it because he is Danny Rand, and also the plot wouldn't have happened if it didn't get opened.

Ah, yeah, it seems I pretty much understood it too, then. Makes sense. The fist does glow gold, it sorta looks like a key, and they always made such a huge point out of Danny Being a Weapon/Tool. So his being a key at the very least made sense, though it made me feel kinda bad for him.

To be entirely fair to Danny, the whole thing WAS damn confusing, and also they needed to throw him the Idiot Ball. Dude got screwed when it came to getting thrown the Idiot Ball.
