This post is for prompts involving characters from Netflix's Daredevil.

Now that The Defenders prompt post is live, all crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go over there. Prompts only including characters that appear in Daredevil should still go here.

General

3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).
4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.
5. Prompts focusing on characters from other Netflix Marvel shows or the comics should go on their respective prompt posts, but crossovers with Daredevil can go here.

Foggy saves Matt from an attempted rape. It leaves Foggy alone with a semi-conscious and incredibly tempting Matt. And maybe, surely, Foggy thinks, Matt can't tell if it was him who finishes the act.

Bonus if Matt didn't know what happened, and is initially thankful to Foggy for finding him and helping him through his recovery. And then Foggy lies.

this prompt is everything

Foggy being the one to thwart Karen's visit to Fisk was lame. I'd like to see how the scene would've gone with Matt taking Foggy's place. How do things go? Does he just do the same thing as Foggy? Or does he actively fight Fisk and get beaten to a pulp? Does he a stand a chance against Fisk in a fight, having to divide his attention between the pulp and worrying about Karen being injured?

And how does the fight end? Does Fisk just have his guards remove Matt and Karen or do other things happen?

Matt is a Commander, Foggy is his husband (let's just say that it is so AU, that the world is not anti-gay), Karen gets assigned to them as a handmaid.

Bonus: Elektra is other Handmaid and Karen's shopping partner.

Matt can talk to the ghosts of murdered children.

Things I would like to see (you can include as many or as little of them as you want), although I am particulary partial for this abiliy to be as secret as his senses

+ During S1, Matt has a potential client who is innocent of the crime they're accused of, but is followed by the ghost of their disabled/neurodivergent child they murdered (and were never condamned for this). Cue moral dilemma as to whether N&M should represent him
+ Matt spends a lot of time trying to help ghosts to 'pass away'
+ People who killed a child have a particular smell
+ The Devil always knowing child killers make him even scarier (people assumes he can tell all sins/crimes, and not only child murder)
+ Dead children helping the Devil
+ Criminals noticing that if the Devil beats someone up for seemingly no reason, this person probably killed a kid
+ Matt getting a child killer condamned
+ LISA AND FRANK JR FOLLOWING THEIR DAD AROUND MAKE EVERY INTERACTION WITH FRANK 100X MORE COMPLICATED (cue Matt trying to find a way to explain that to Frank without taking another bullet in the head)
+ THE BLACK SKY KID STICK KILLED IN S1 BECOMES A POLTERGEIST AND APPOINT HIMSELF AS MATT'S SIDEKICK

How to ground a ghost

Matt gets kidnapped by Foggy's enemies looking to get back at Foggy and thinking the blind friend is an easy target.

And Matt lets himself get taken because, of course, he's going to get to the root of this and make sure these people wouldn't ever be a danger to Foggy. Except something unexpected happens and Matt is unable to escape, maybe the kidnappers hit him on the head and leave him with temporary deafness or something.

Foggy stops at nothing to get Matt back safely.

I'm at season 2 episode 10, and watching Matt's visit to Fisk in prison and how he tried to dissociate Foggy from Fisk's case made me really want to read a fic wherein Fisk threatens to destroy Foggy's life if Matt doesn't let Fisk use him as a fucktoy whenever he calls. Matt submits, knowing that Fisk can and will follow through on that threat if he doesn't. He can't risk that happening to Foggy.

For Fisk, it's all about humiliation and showing his power - at first. But there's something delicious and addictive about fucking Matt, so sensitive, looking so vulnerable, yet so strong and unyielding.

Foggy doesn't know - chalks Matt's signs of pain to injuries from Daredevil activities - until one day when Matt was left in an exceptionally bad state.

Daredevil is crucified by criminals, but survives. A consequence of this ordeal is that crosses are quite triggering to Matt.

+1 for matt struggling to concile his faith and his triggers
+1 for supportive father lanthom
+1 for daredevil's new aversion of crosses supporting pre-existing suspicions that he may be the real devil
+1 for other heroes (avengers, defenders if before defenders...), not knowing daredevil's secret idendity and being suspicious of him (may involves a jerk moment of someone thinking he's faking his reaction to go with the suit, but no bashing)

After Matt's visit to Dex's apartment, he somehow finds out that Karen is going to see Fisk at the Presidential, and races to save her. He ends up crashing through Fisk's penthouse doors just as Fisk is about to attack Karen. A very aggressive fight breaks out as Matt tries to subdue Fisk and stop him from hurting Karen, then they have to fight off his FBI guards outside.

++If Matt asks Karen for the details of why she killed Wesley

++How does this affect the church fight? Does Matt stay with Karen and find her somewhere safer to stay?

Ok so I just started watching Daredevil season 3 and OH BOY! Matt is NOT in a good place mentally AT ALL! And then with all of the shit that is happening too him, from losing his hearing to that prison scene which was so INTENSE, there is no way that he is handling that well nor walking away from it. Also the fact that literally every scene with him he looks like he wants to die and just looks like he has given up just shows how awful he is mentally.

I just want a prompt where he either has a serious ptsd moment or he tries to kill himself and someone helps him. It can be Karen, Frank, Foggy, one of the Defenders, hell i would like to see Brett or Marci too! And afterwards they realize that Matt is not ok and needs help so they take him to a therapist. Eventually he gets better and he starts dealing with all the stuff that has happened to him during season 3 and even dealing with his childhood.

Bonus if he gets a therapy dog or a seeing eye dog that really helps him out

Fisk is out and stronger than ever, and even if Matt wanted to kill him, he wouldn't be able to get to him. Matt is frustrated out of his mind. Then Elektra shows up and tells him that The Hand is still out there, just even more dangerous without it's leader. Matt and Elektra decide to take over The Hand and use its resources to take down Fisk and then, finish the Hand from the inside.

I think there was another plot like this but I kind of want it different. Matt doesn't have any powers and is just a normal blind lawyer who is surrounded by people with powers (Luke, Danny, Jessica, etc.) I want a prompt where Dex is stalking Matt like he did Julie and matt is completely oblivious to it. Like it is so bad to the point that Dex even breaks into his house and just looks at him while Matt doesn't even know that he is there. Dex still kind of goes off the deep end like in the show and kidnaps Matt which leads someone like Frank or the Defenders to save him.

I would prefer it not to be Dex/Matt endgame relationship
Maybe a pre-existing relationship (Frank/Matt, Foggy/ Matt, etc.)
Every else views Matt as a wounded duck and are extremely protective

basically, I want a story where Matt is a trans woman, and makes her first public appearances as a woman as the Woman in the Mask.

(Bonus point if she's only figuring out her identity and didn't talk about it with foggy yet)

Maybe Matt isn’t quite honest with himself about his feelings about Foggy. So maybe when Foggy has a date, Matt is jealous, but he won’t admit it, even to himself. So maybe he walk by where Foggy’s having his date, completely accidentally of course! And he overhears something very alarming! He needs to get in there now because whoever is in there with Foggy clearly means him harm! He’s just being a good friend, and protecting his friend, like bros do!

That is to say, he engages in light-stalking and misinterprets something innocent in the worst possible way because he’s so emotionally constipated that he can’t admit how he feels about Foggy. Cue a confused, frustrated, but ultimately receptive Foggy. (He KNOWS he’s been in love with Matt forever, and finding out he feels the same is amazing, even if he is a bit exasperated at Matt’s lack of self-awareness, and the complete disaster he can be).

This would make Nelson vs Murdock very awkward

OP: Ngghh yes this gif would certainly fit, I think. My mind filled in the gaps in context and it looks tantalising. (I belatedly read the spoiler warning but no worries, it's all right. Nothing that gave away exact plot details, just teasers for my imagination and I'm fine with that. ;)

Aside, I finished season 2 and realised that I didn't even need to make up reasons in my prompt for Foggy not to notice what was happening. He just isn't there much anymore is he. *headsdesk and cries*

Spider-Man can’t throw a decent punch to save his life. Everyone agrees this needs to change and everyone else seems to think that Matt is the one who should train him, because hey, the kid has super-senses.

But Matt *can’t*. Up to author whether or not he tries, but either way it masssely triggers him regarding his own training, cue nightmares, flashbacks etc. Since only Daredevil and not Matt hangs out with the vigilante crowd of New York, no one realises how bad it gets and continues to give him a hard time about it.
