This post is for prompts involving characters from Netflix's Daredevil.

Now that The Defenders prompt post is live, all crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go over there. Prompts only including characters that appear in Daredevil should still go here.

Rules:

General
1. YKINMKATO. Play nice. Respect others. If you don't like something, scroll on.
2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.
3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).
4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.
5. Prompts focusing on characters from other Netflix Marvel shows or the comics should go on their respective prompt posts, but crossovers with Daredevil can go here.
6. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

I know there are a bunch of people who feel that Matt treats Foggy and Karen like shit and that they deserve better, but I want to look at this from the other side. Like yes Matt keeps secrets from them but can you really blame him? Look at how they react towards him and treat him after the fact. Now Foggy I will say tried his best and I do believe that he has had it rough ever since but he also treats Matt as if all the good he does means jack shit and how he is just doing what he does for selfish reasons which...no. Yes Matt likes beating people up but it is people who DESERVE it. His story of why he started doing this was to me sound. He knew something was wrong; he trusted the government to do the right thing and they failed him. So he took matters into his own hands because no one else was. And all Foggy took from that was “you enjoy beating people up. This has nothing to do with justice this only has to do with your issues and what you want to do. Sonething is wrong with you and you need help.” Like did you not get anything else from his story? And how do you think Matt felt? Ok sorry I am ranting.

I just want a prompt where someone, maybe Frank, Jessica or maybe all of the defenders Kind of confront them on how they have treated Matt and how their words and actions have negatively affect Matt’s already bad mental state.

It's Marci who realises Foggy and Matt are madly in love, even before they realise it themselves. Both men are having difficulty sleeping. Foggy being worried about Matt's mental state and whether he'll become suicidal again. Matt having issues with his injuries, traumas, and living alone, wanting someone to care for him and not being able to admit he wants that.

Marci's and Foggy's relationship is better than its ever been, so she hesitates in bringing it up. Then wanting Foggy to be happy, she pushes them into getting together. They all move in together and form a family of sorts. Matt benefits from the extra support he can't aadmit he now needs. Foggy likes being able to see Matt is OK, and hold him at night, and shower him with love.

Prefer if there's not a romantic relationship between Marci and Matt, but they form a strong friendship through their love of Foggy. And maybe she's not adverse to seeing Foggy dom Matt when the two have sex. While she's not good at not being the one in control when she and Foggy sleep together, she does love seeing him in charge of someone else.

Bonus for any domestic scenes between the three, and how they manage to get Matt to accept medical treatment and therapy and persuade him that he matters.

Or a moment when Karen and Foggy realize that no wonder Matt decided to stay under Midland Circle, taking into consideration the fact that Matt had right to feel like Elektra was the only person he had left.

In S3, we see Matt lift Foggy’s wallet and use his Bar Association ID to get into the prison. This is ironic, because when he meet with Foggy in the bar and lifted Foggy’s wallet, he said he wanted him safe, but then he proceeded to do something that implicated Foggy in a crime. SO what if someone targets Foggy based on his name being in the log? A criminal who got a look at the log during the riot, or a prison guard who has a score to settle. Whoever, but I want Matt to face real and terrifying consequences for his choice, in the form of Foggy suffering for his actions.

Matt might save Foggy in the end, or Foggy could find a way out himself, or another superhero, or whatever, but I would prefer it if Foggy didn’t die, though I am open to the possibility.

awesome prompt!!! i remember thinking the scene with jessica's family's ashes in season 2 of jj was so sad, and in hindsight it foreshadowed infinity war so well :o

Something is clearly going on with Foggy, but won’t tell Matt. He’s keeping secrets, and spending less and less time around Matt. Either he’s lying, or not lying per se, but sticking carefully to truths that dance around what Matt wants to know.

The actual truth is Foggy is somehow protecting Matt in a way that can hurt/is hurting Foggy. Up to author what the specifics are, (Foggy makes himself punching bag/fucktoy for a criminal threatening to expose Matt as DD in exchange for their silence; Foggy is reinvesting all of his share of N&M earnings into the practice again to keep it afloat and living on the street and barely eating as a result; Foggy agreed to be experimented on by mad scientist type bad guy inside of having them use something against DD; Foggy is prostituting himself to help them pay the bills, etc.).

Eventually Matt finds out; preferably through Foggy being really hurt in a big awful reveal, and Matt is heartbroken.

While working without Matt, Foggy took on some really shady client. Now this mistake comes back to him to bite him in the ass. Matt helps him deal with the situation, maybe with a bit of daredevilling.

(Your choice whether Foggy tells him or Matt figures out something is wrong on his own and pushes Foggy to tell him/ spies on him. And of course, Karen's involvement is very welcome. Brett and Marci are always welcome too).

Matt discovers the slowly growing pool of Daredevil paraphernalia. Shirts, hats, underwear, plushies, toys (child and adult), etc.

Matt, and the other's, reactions. Embarrassment a bonus.

Do they find some way for Matt to actually earn a profit off his image?

Early 3rd season, Matt helps one of the kids with a bully problem.

Animals keep accidentally wandering into Matt's appartement. Matt keeps feeding them. He now is the reluctant owner of ten pets, and their number is still growing

+ 1 for weird animals that matt mistakes for cats/dogs/gecko (like a tiger. Or a wolf. Or a big alligator. It's not like if he had any references to reconize them)

Nelson & Murdock (& page if post S3) gets an intern. She's /suspicious/ of matt's injuries

That sounds cute. Maybe a cheetah? They purr. Or another of the the smaller big cats or a young lion. Ever since I found out that you could be the best friend ever to a tiger and if you turn so your back is to them and crouch or move your shoulders to appear just a little smaller they're going to leap at your throat to suffocate you with their jaws. It's an I instinct they can't stop or think about. It makes me a little wary of stories about pet tigers because if the owner doesn't stand up tall that instinct could take over.

Lions don't have that instinct. They get to think more before attacking, whereas for tigers it's a knee jerk reaction. They can't prevent it. Though this isn't all types of tigers. The Bengal one yes, but not the type you hear lives with monks.

Sorry for the essay. Cute prompt. I'm imagining Matt googling how big Maine coon domestic cats can grow to justify him thinking he has a lovely furry cat friend.

Or .maybe he finds one shot and he's thinking hooligans are shooting poor stray dogs now. And really it's a terrifying lion by looks who proves itself a softy with Matt's care.

imagine him adopting a lynx though, in mythology its considered the keeper of secrets and is often considered with the gift of supernatural sight, being able to know whats going on behind closed walls

Due to some magical shenanigans, people suddenly hear exactly what Matt hears when they speak to him. Matt's self-hate and depression makes even their kindest words turn into harsh comments. His friends are horrified and Matt doesn't hear a difference.
