This post is for prompts involving characters from Netflix's Daredevil.

Now that The Defenders prompt post is live, all crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go over there. Prompts only including characters that appear in Daredevil should still go here.

Rules:

General
1. YKINMKATO. Play nice. Respect others. If you don't like something, scroll on.
2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.
3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).
4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.
5. Prompts focusing on characters from other Netflix Marvel shows or the comics should go on their respective prompt posts, but crossovers with Daredevil can go here.
6. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

Not picturing any pairings atm, but again, I'm pretty lax about the side stuff an potential filler tosses in.

Holy shit, you're right. Damn...I may end up filling this. Maybe. I have work and classes to consider first. But I have *ideas* about this now...

I've read a lot of great post S2 stories where Matt is depressed and adrift without Foggy. What I'd like to see is a post season 2 story where Foggy is really depressed about losing his friend (who has been carrying a torch for for years), and throws himself recklessly into his new job, pretty much neglecting everything else to try and forget the pain of emptiness of not having Matt in his life. He's barely eating or sleeping, and unsurprisingly he works himself into exhaustion/illness.

Matt finds out, (he's still Foggy's emergency contact and gets a call when Foggy's hospitalized because it's gotten that bad? Marci calls him because she sees what's happening and she's worried? Matt engages in some stalking because he misses Foggy too, and realizes he's not well?), and is angry and sad and worried. He left to keep Foggy safe, (because he love him too, and could bear to see him hurt. He also didn't think Foggy felt the same, and he couldn't take the weight of his disappointment Foggy kept expressing over his nocturnal hobby), not to hurt him so badly he literally became physically ill.

Give me lots of love and reconciliation initiated by a moment of panic over Matt realizing Foggy is hurt and sick.

I've only ever seen it done with Matt as a guy. Which is definitely awesome and I love it because it's my guilty pleasure pairing. But I'd love to see the power couple of Kingpin and his lady love dealing with Mathilda Mikaela Murdock, the sightless spitfire whom we all know and love. So let's try it with Mattie instead and see how the dice rolls, shall we?

Do it however you want. Multiple methods encouraged. Any point in the timeline works—pre-season one, during season one, between seasons, season two, after season two, whatever. You want a fluffy nobody-dies thing with affably evil or grayscale good Vanessa and Wilson? Sure! Slow seduction with or without the knowledge of Daredevil's identity? Go for it! Capturing the Bitch in Black/She-Devil and putting her in her place? Sounds delicious! Blackmailing her into their service and eventually their bed as a lawyer and/or vigilante? Oo-la-la! Historical fiction setting? Sounds fun. Noir setting? Go nuts! Cyberpunk adventure? Cool! Space opera or Star Wars AU? Looks fun! Slave-verse with them purchasing Mattie as a pet/bedwarmer/childminder/house slave/lawyer/bodyguard/assassin (I've seen all of those suggested before with dude!Matt)? Would be interesting...

Anything goes and I hope that any potential fillers thoroughly enjoy playing with the idea! I'm a busy bee with uni restarting, so I don't have the time to fill any of these right now, so I hope that someone/s will find the plotbunnies inspiring.

This is simultaneously adorable and depressing.

That would be awesome, but real life is important. Even if you dont do a complete fill, I'm always up for sharing ideas about Matt Murdock sucking his own dick

My non-OP-but-still-sad biracial ass loves this.

I mean shit, I'm guessing you had a checklist of microaggressions to address, since you hit basically every single one. but it doesnt feel like a checklist at all, just the routine shit that happens when you see so many different groups of people on the reg. some that you shrug off and some that sticks in your craw forever.
You packed a shitload of emotion into a fairly compact piece. That's not at all a criticism of the length, it's perfect for the story. You took just as much space as you needed, and each scene packs a major wallop. I struggle with length and taking forever to get my point across, so I really admire short stories and the thought that goes into making sure every word serves a purpose, especially when that purpose is figuratively using emotion to punc the reader in the face.

One missed opportunity was the wonderful misunderstandings you get when you're right in the middle of your parents' skin tones and people get edgy about an adult and a kid of different races walking around together. Even when both parents were present, I still got weird questions as a kid because people assumed my caucasian mother had adopted me from some war-torn south american country, while my paper-bag-test-passing latino father was my babysitter or possibly my kidnapper.

In closing, you rock. I love your attention to detail. Your style makes me feel more than any of the Hemingway I've read. You really captured the essence of playing Biracial Bingo every day. I could practically hear Elodie speaking your Elektra dialogue. Thanks for introducing me to Jesse Williams, he'd make a super cute Daredevil, I gotta try and draw him. Keep doing what you're doing, you're really onto something here and I wish you luck in all your future writing ventures. You're diamonds, baby

As a former cutter whose cats love to climb up my arms and leave marks that make everyone look at me suspiciously, that basically sums up my reaction every time.
"Aww, kitten wants to play. How cute- ow ow ow dammit, right across the wrist. Why? How am I gonna explain this?"

*muffled screaming* Yes. She'll also chastize him when he does something stupid. Went out without letting his stitches heal and tore them open? You're getting held down while she uses the merciless disinfectant, and she won't let you flinch away.

So by now I'm sure most/all of you have seen stuff about that EW Defenders interview. And in one part, Charlie Cox seems to imply that Matt hasn't been doing Daredevil Things after the end of season two. But why? And what is he doing with all this time? These are answers I need. Angst welcome!

Interesting...

Stick was preparing Matt to be a vessel, but started liking him too much to finish. Unfortunately the devil's taken an interest, and is working on subtly corrupting Matt enough to take over. Whether Matt is aware of this or when he becomes aware is up to you.
The kink here is mental torture. Matt suffering. Bonus for things like church being physically painful for him but he goes anyway to get away from the voice in his head. I'm a-okay with an unhappy ending.

I realize it's a very different fic than the one prompted here, but I am so intrigued now by the notion of Matt spending years being haunted by a ghost Foggy haunting Columbia.

Like... For some reason that is very sad but also a canon divergence that delights me.

You know how the Tenth Doctor would sometimes lick a thing and then announce something about its composition or origins?

Matt can probably do that.

Out of all his senses, taste doesn't seem to get much love in fanfic, and especially not as something that's useful for Daredeviling. So give me Matt sticking something in his mouth that does not belong in his mouth in order to hyper-taste it. Maybe he's trying to identify a substance, or looking for minute traces of evidence. Maybe he can do the Sherlock Holmes thing where he can tell apart dirt from different neighborhoods or the brand of a cigarette by the ash it leaves behind.

Of course, to anyone watching him do this (especially if they don't know about his senses, ESPECIALLY if he's not in the suit) this looks fucking weird.

My kingdom for a five times fic, but literally any kind of fill on this would make my day.

I really need a soul-mate identifying mark/string of fate fic for Matt and Frank. I haven't seen one yet and they are all so good, with the angst of Matt not specifically being able to recognize the marks like everyone else does. I don't care how AU it is or if it falls in line with the current Netflix story lines.

OP, sid you want that in Matt's pov or the worshiper(s)'s pov?
