This is separate from the usual prompt posts, so the rules are a bit different. Please read before diving in!


🎃 Rules 🎃:

• All comments must be anon.


• This is a Halloween fest, so all prompts must fit the theme! All things spooky and terrifying are very welcome, but it doesn't have to be all horror - prompts about the characters celebrating Halloween in their own way, dressing up and handing out sweets are wonderful too!


• Prompts can be anything! A single word, a picture, a poem, a music video, an urban legend. You can specify characters or pairings or not. Long, detailed prompts are discouraged (if you have a clear idea of what you want, prompt the keyword and write it!). Don't repost prompts from the rest of the meme.


• You don't need to put anything in the subject line (but you can if you want to!), unless you're posting a fill.


• Fills can be anything, and of any length! Long fic is delightful and welcome, but think of this like trick or treating - delicious, bite sized pieces. Art fills and anything else you can think of are also welcome!


• Multiple fills for the same prompt are highly encouraged.


• Please put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill, so anyone scrolling through can spot it!


• Don't link your fill on either of the Fills Posts! This is a self-contained comment fest. You can, of course, cross-post to AO3 and add your fic to the DDKM collection, if you want.


• This fest will close around midday tomorrow, so get writing!

there's magic spell around with a mistranslation. instead of summoning the Devil, it summons totally human Daredevil.

Ooh, so many uses.
Weird cults, supervillains, bored teenagers at sleepovers ("holy shit the devil sent us a hot guy. Thank you satan!") The avengers trying to analyze the ancients texts they confiscated from a sorcerer
I wonder if it only works when he's in costume, or if he ever just appears in someone's ritual circle in sweatpants and ridiculously huge socks brushing his teeth or something

The problem wasn't the spell itself. The original, if you had it, still summoned a perfectly serviceable denizen of Hell for whatever nefarious purpose one might need them.

No, the problem was the in the internet and a single typo of the one person who still had the original and had, in all infinite wisdom, decided to transcribe it incorrectly to a Satanic forum.

He's familiar with it by now, the way it starts with the low drone of chanting, followed quickly by the world dissolving around him and dumping him God only knows where this time.

His feet hit a wooden floor and he quickly takes stock, candles, normal, incense, also normal, and the summoner themselves, usually teenagers but in this case-

"Foggy?"

The sound of fabric moving with a shrug and a relieved sigh.

"You were't answering your phone."

OP here.

This was great! The last line sideswiped me so hard with its unexpected brilliance that I burst out laughing then immediately had to muffle myself to not wake the roommate.
