This is separate from the usual prompt posts, so the rules are a bit different. Please read before diving in!


🎃 Rules 🎃:

• All comments must be anon.


• This is a Halloween fest, so all prompts must fit the theme! All things spooky and terrifying are very welcome, but it doesn't have to be all horror - prompts about the characters celebrating Halloween in their own way, dressing up and handing out sweets are wonderful too!


• Prompts can be anything! A single word, a picture, a poem, a music video, an urban legend. You can specify characters or pairings or not. Long, detailed prompts are discouraged (if you have a clear idea of what you want, prompt the keyword and write it!). Don't repost prompts from the rest of the meme.


• You don't need to put anything in the subject line (but you can if you want to!), unless you're posting a fill.


• Fills can be anything, and of any length! Long fic is delightful and welcome, but think of this like trick or treating - delicious, bite sized pieces. Art fills and anything else you can think of are also welcome!


• Multiple fills for the same prompt are highly encouraged.


• Please put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill, so anyone scrolling through can spot it!


• Don't link your fill on either of the Fills Posts! This is a self-contained comment fest. You can, of course, cross-post to AO3 and add your fic to the DDKM collection, if you want.


• This fest will close around midday tomorrow, so get writing!

To be fair, as someone who has trouble keeping track of the two-ton vehicle, I'm amazed when *anybody* can find their apartment keys, sighted or not. That's not actually hypocritical at all. (Speaking as one of the perennially disorganized.)

"So, I heard Chantal is having quite the bash tonight. We've gotta go crash, Matt. I've been so deep in papers that I didn't even realize it was Halloween today until I saw Superman walking through campus. This is perfect, though! Costumes optional, and both grad students and undergrad will be there, so we'll have the widest possible field to play."

"Yeah, sorry, Foggy, I've got a thing already tonight. I'm going over to St. Agnes'."

"Wait, a Catholic thing, again? You've already tried to clock out of everything early on Saturday night a few times so that you could make it to morning mass. Now you want to go in during the week, too? Wait, is it a holiday? Jesusween? They make you star in a play about the evils of abortion, or something?"

"Oddly enough, it is a Catholic holiday. You may have heard of it: All Hallow's Eve? And there are probably a few Catholics out there thinking about aborted babies, since it's traditionally the night of vigil for tomorrow's Feast of All Saints, and many Catholics hope that the souls of dead babies are among those being celebrated.

"But I'm just going to help supply, corral, and clean up after orphans who are having a good time. Even kids who live at a Catholic orphanage are allowed to like chocolate, Foggy."

"Matt, that you, dude?"

"Foggy. You're here."

"Yeah, I tried to hook up with this really hot girl, but, turns out, she tasted like candy corn. Probably because she'd been eating it all night, which I discovered when she puked all over me when I was hoping that she was finally moving past the make-out.

...

"Matt, you'd better not be laughing at me. Of course you're laughing at me. And how did *your* night go?"

"Turns out Catholic strictness is good for something after all. I had to deal with 100% less vomit than you did, sounds like. Since none of the orphans were allowed to gorge out on candy corn."

"Aw, that was my only chance at consoling myself! All evening, I was thinking, 'Man, I'd rather be passing out chocolate to Catholic orphans.' Next year, I'm going with you. No way you're leaving me to suffer here alone!"

"All right, but only if you let me get my sleep now. And, fair warning: not tomorrow morning, but the next, I am going to mass. I won't be able to partake, but there's nothing stopping me from praying."

"You know what? I'm not even going to ask why. You got it, Matt. G'night. Happy All Saints' Day."

"Good night, Foggy."

AYRT: Is that a tongue sticking out or a big smile? This fic probably deserves the first, but I'm hoping it's the second.

I should have warned for this one. Like, I hope you don't have any drug testing coming up in your near future, because you have just ingested pure CRACK...
