Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-04 08:48 am (UTC)(link)I can't imagine Matt wouldn't be crying at this point...honestly, they're probably just about at the point of ugly, hitching sobs. Maybe Foggy gives his back or chest a quick rub and (since Matt's naked) asks whether the doctor has anything Matt can fiddle with for a minute - a cloth or something that he can pick at, which sometimes helps calm him down - foggy sort of thinks it's Matt's equivalent of staring at a spot on the wall. Then when matt's not crying so hard, foggy gags him.
And yes definitely - lots of reassurance, and if Matt voices some of the other things talked about, like being scared he's going to get sold, foggy absolutely has some things to correct him on. And just...lots of positive physical attention, not sexual because at this point any sex would probably just involve Matt desperately trying to prove himself/apologise to foggy further (plus they're both exhausted). I was thinking maybe the night before foggy didn't let Matt sleep in the same bed as him, because he was angry, with his reasoning being that 1) Matt didn't deserve it and 2) foggy didn't want to accidently hurt him in the night. But he absolutely lets Matt sleep with him tonight.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-04 10:03 am (UTC)(link)And Matt's definitely crying full out by now, probably got a snotty nose too. I'd imagine Foggy's got a fidget toy for Matt to use to calm himself down with, and he holds a tissue to Matt's nose and tells him to blow, maybe cleans him up a little too. When he tells Matt he's going to gag him he probably adds something about letting the doctor focus so quietly that only Matt can hear it, and the implication that Foggy doesn't think too highly of the doctor's intelligence might cheer him up a bit.
Oh yes, lots of positive physical attention, Foggy probably washes Matt himself, getting rid of the doctor's scent on him and covering it up with his own. And cuddling, lots of cuddling - Matt might want to be dressed and wrapped up in a blanket or something, or he might feel better naked, skin to skin with Foggy. And Foggy will definitely have things to reassure Matt about - he's still a lawyer, even though he's a pet - and he does pull his weight at the firm, he's not a burden. And maybe Matt tries to offer sex, but Foggy refuses, gently, and just pulls Matt to bed with him, and Matt's sort of surprised that Foggy's letting him share his bed.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-04 10:41 am (UTC)(link)And yeah, snotty nose, tears...if foggy didn't get him to blow, Matt was probably going to start having trouble breathing, and foggy has to tell him to take a breath and matt's just gasping. Foggy probably cleans away matt's come as well because he knows having it there is a reminder to Matt of how he made a mistake. And yesss to him saying something the doctor can't hear, just to see Matt blink in surprise, a tiny bit of relief on his face.
Matt might even want to wear something of Foggy's when they get home - one of his old shirts or something, so he can feel owned by foggy again, once foggy promises that he's not going to sell Matt, that he loves Matt, and that Matt is at heart a good boy - he just gets a bit lost sometimes.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-04 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)Yes, Foggy can really see how much Matt is suffering, and maybe he feels a little guilty, because they got there a bit early, and when Matt knelt at his feet to wait he didn't guide Matt's head to rest on his thigh/in his lap. So Matt had resorted to self-soothing, playing with his hem, or waistband, and maybe if Foggy had comforted him a bit he wouldn't be suffering as much.
Foggy definitely has to tell Matt to breath, maybe even give Matt the whole breath in hold it, breath out routine. And of course he cleans up Matt's come, as well as wipe the tears away (not that it helps as much as Foggy might hope, Matt can still smell it after all, still feel the traces he can't get off with just tissues)
And he's reassuring Matt that he doesn't share the doctor's opinion, that he still cares enough to speak to him past the doctor's hearing, and it's the respect Matt's just spent the past half-hour or so being denied.
And oh yes, or maybe, when Foggy asks if Matt wants to get dressed after cleaning him up he hesitantly asks if he can have the shirt Foggy just took off - because it's got foggy's scent on it.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-04 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)Yeah, Matt probably would have been waiting for a hand in his hair or the back of his neck, encouraging to rest his head against Foggy's thigh (even kneeling isn't really that standard for them - foggy lets Matt sit on chairs etc regularly enough). But foggy doesn't feel like give Matt what he wants/expects at that point, and he just watches as Matt tries to adjust himself and get used to the fact that he's being properly punished, and as he starts picking at his clothes, hardly knowing which direction to face. The only help foggy gives him is eventually to say 'lower your head matty', because matt's eyes are darting all over the place and his head is swinging from side to side as he follows every little noise, and being forced to face downwards will keep him still/a little calmer.
Foggy would immediately pull the shirt over matt's head, and it hangs off him, but Matt just plays with the loose material and bunches it up around his mouth/nose when he gets into bed, smelling it and feeling it...foggy finds it fucking heartbreaking, honestly, and when they're in bed he pulls Matt as close as he can, so Matt has the real thing wrapped around him.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 05:59 am (UTC)(link)And yes for Foggy being gentle even as he refuses Matt. Matt wants to thank him like a 'real person' when Foggy give him the toy, but he hasn't been given permission to speak, so he just kisses Foggy's hand every chance he gets, because that's the most chaste way pets are supposed to thank their masters.
Yes, absolutely. Foggy usually lets Matt sit on chairs, unless he needs the comfort of kneeling and being petted. Kneeling with his head on Foggy's thigh, with Foggy stroking his hair is the most formal they've ever gone, and that's only if Foggy can't get away with putting Matt in his lap - having a gorgeous pet sitting on your lap, obviously happy to be there is a bit of a status display. And it's even worse for Matt, because there's other owners in the clinic waiting with their pets, and he can hear the other pets being touched and comforted (since most pets don't really like the slave clinics and they're usually in pain) but Foggy doesn't do more than order him into position.
Matt probably waits until he gets explicit permission to speak before he says anything after they leave the clinic. He doesn't know for certain that his punishment is over after all, and that's one more thing that Foggy has to reassure him about; he's a good boy, he's been punished and Foggy's forgiven him now. But Matt doesn't quite believe it until Foggy pulls him close when they're in bed.
And god yes, to Matt paying with Foggy's shirt, needing to touch it and smell it, maybe even taste it. He probably very hesitantly licks Foggy's skin when Foggy pulls him close - he doesn't normally need to taste Foggy, but he normally carries Foggy's scent on his skin a lot more heavily than this. (Might be one reason he tried to initiate sex, so he'd smell of Foggy's come, not his own.)
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 09:30 am (UTC)(link)So yeah, I think foggy would definitely have a firm but gentle approach to everything he does while Matt's there. Even the way he touches Matt and directs his movements - he's not rough, he's just steady - tilting Matt's head up to get to his nose/wipe away his tears, holding Matt still with one hand on his waist when he wipes away the come, gripping Matt's wrists and pulling them back when Matt grabs hold of him. because he knows matt's still his, and touching him/using him is his right, but Foggy's always been about directing over ordering - being decisive and firm but not violent, and Matt's long since stopped expecting foggy to lash out, even though it's hard for him to believe that it might never happen.
Ugh yes, Matt can definitely hear how the other pets are being treated, and it feels so strange because that's usually how foggy would be with him, especially in this kind of situation. And Matt keeps waiting for foggy to say something/do something more, but ultimately resigns himself, because he deserves this, because last night foggy had actually called him a bad boy, and Matt had just instantly fallen quiet, maybe even taken a shocked step back, surprised and upset.
Maybe foggy doesn't realise straight away that Matt's waiting for permission, he just thinks Matt needs some time to think rather than talk, until he sees Matt chewing hard on his bottom lip, and how sometimes he'll open his mouth to say something, but then just swallow instead. And then foggy says, gently, you can talk now Matt, and Matt immediately just starts apologising and looks like he's going to cry again.
Foggy probably cups the back of Matt's head when he licks him, tells him go ahead, whatever you need, and Matt just rubs his face against foggy's skin, and presses so close, and mouths at him. And foggy knows all the reasons Matt wants to have sex, and all the reasons they shouldn't, and so waits until the morning to tell Matt to get him off, and Matt is so relieved to be able to make foggy feel good and smell his come.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 10:03 am (UTC)(link)And definitely firm but gentle with Matt. He's learned that Matt doesn't really trust anything too gentle, he needs firm, but not rough, not violent, and he's never been violent. He probably makes a point of quietly directing Matt as he moves him, gives him the warning that the doctor didn't bother with, and that's another thing that helps calm Matt down a lot. And right now, if Foggy did hit Matt or hurt him Matt knows that it would just be deserved punishment, not Foggy lashing out, so that's something else to add to his reactions. But even if Foggy does decide to hurt him, it would be worth it, Foggy would be paying attention to him.
And yes, definitely, he can hear how other owners are soothing their pets, the way Foggy normally does with him, and even though he needs that comfort now more than he can remember needing it before, Foggy isn't taking care of him. Those other pets are good pets, and now he isn't, now he's a bad pet again, the way he was before Foggy took him and taught him to be good for him.
And no, you're right, Foggy probably doesn't realise that Matt thinks he needs permission to talk after the visit at first, not until he sees Matt holding back from saying something. And yes, to Matt almost crying again from gratitude, and relief that his punishment's over even if he can't quite believe it - and he probably feels guilty for that, for not accepting his owner's words without question.
Oh definitely, he encourages Matt to focus himself entirely on Foggy, to comfort him and to make him feel better and to distract him from dwelling on his punishment. And I'm sure he does know why Matt wants to have sex, remembers how Matt likes wearing Foggy's come on his body, even if Foggy does insist on wiping enough of it off that Matt's the only person who can smell it (unless there's someone else with supersenses about). And Matt is so grateful to be allowed to please Foggy, make him feel good and make him come all over him.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)I keep thinking about what would've happened the night before - maybe Matt heard something going on outside, someone being attacked, and he knew he wasn't allowed but foggy was asleep so...he just got up and went, because he had to help. Only, foggy wakes up and Matt isn't beside him, and at first he's terrified because he loves Matt and where the fuck is he. But then foggy thinks about it, thinks about what Matt is like, and it's not like this is the first time this has happened, and he knows Matt's gone out as daredevil (maybe he even checks and finds that the suit is missing). And he's so fucking angry?! Because he's scared?! And he just waits up for Matt and eventually gets ahold of himself, and thinks about what he's going to do when Matt comes back - because Matt will come back, he has to.
And then he does, maybe creeping back through the window, and he's surprised to find that Foggy's awake. And foggy just...he's calm at first, asking Matt where he's been, and Matt's just like 'foggy, you know I have to do this. You agreed to this' and Foggy's just, like fuck I did. And he's been sitting down this whole time but now he gets up, moves into Matt's space and just...gives it to him, how worried Foggy's been, how bad matt's being. And it's all stuff Foggy's been thinking about while matt's been gone, things he's hoping might get through to him. But Matt's just standing there, stubborn as ever, obviously listening but not listening - so maybe foggy smacks him, on the thigh or ass, something else he'd planned on doing anyway. And Matt's surprised, but then he just sorta raises his eyebrows, says 'really?' And Foggy's at the end of his tether. He says 'I don't know how to deal with you anymore. I can't do it by myself.' Because Matt's usually good, but sometimes he pushes so hard and nothing foggy does will make him stop. And then he tells Matt to get the fuck out of the daredevil suit, and that he's sleeping on the floor/couch/spare room, and he calls up the clinic. That's when Matt finally realises that he's crossed a line, and he goes from stubborn and self-righteous to devastated in about three seconds, but it's too late.
And yes, Matt keeps thinking about how he was when foggy first got him, how difficult he was to handle and how patient foggy was with him, and can't believe he's fucked up bad enough to bring them back to a place where foggy can justifiably deny him comfort. He shuffles as close to foggy as he can without touching him and tries to make that be enough.
Guh, yes to foggy coming on Matt, and just being really hands on, getting Matt to jerk him off while he's sitting on his lap, facing him, or while they're curled together in bed. And afterwards, Foggy just covers Matt with his body, maybe gets Matt off as well in a way that's completely painless, free of humiliation, easy, because the fucking last thing foggy wants is Matt to start associating his orgasms with his experiences at the clinic.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)And maybe if Matt had shown the slightest sound of remorse he wouldn't be so incandescently furious, but he doesn't, and even though he flinches when Foggy tells him he's been bad he still doesn't back down. I don't think he'd call the clinic there and then though - it probably wouldn't be open yet. What I see happening is Foggy telling Matt to strip, and then doing his own check, to see if Matt's in good enough condition to wait for a clinic appointment, and when he confirms that he is, even though he's still gotten himself hurt again he orders Matt to sleep in another room (or maybe in his cage - something Foggy's expected to have, but they've never used before), he'll make an appointment for him at the pet clinic tomorrow. (Matt sleeping on the floor by Foggy's bed is something they've done before, it's still a punishment for Matt, but not a serious one - it's what Matt was expecting when they come back from the clinic that he'll be allowed to sleep by Foggy's bed, not in it with him, not until he earns that privilege back.)
Oh god yes, to Matt shuffling as close to Foggy as he can without touching him, already shaken by the knowledge that his beloved owner isn't willing to comfort him now. He's already spent most of a day with Foggy being cold to him - maybe they went to work, and he didn't dare bring a fidget toy or anything, and had to try to focus on the paperwork, depositions and briefs and such, while he was worrying about this. Foggy tells Matt to strip and change into the more appropriate clothes he'd brought for their appointment before they leave the office, and maybe Matt knows Karen is watching, but pets don't get to have a sense of modesty.
And oh god, yes. Matt wants/expects to make it a performance, to suck Foggy off, try and demonstrate that he does know how to give a good blow job - the doctor's comments about his gag reflex at the clinic still sting, but Foggy keeps it to stuff that won't remind Matt at all of the exam. First, yes, putting Matt in his lap and getting him to jerk Foggy off until he's covered Matt's stomach, whispering praise to him between kisses. Then he puts Matt on the bed, and lies on top of him, kissing the back of his neck and rubbing his dick between Matt's ass cheeks, one hand playing between Matt's legs and telling him what a good beautiful boy he is and coming all over Matt's back this time just before or just after Matt comes himself.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)And yes, even though Matt hates being called bad, he doesn't back down, because he knows that he's done the right thing by helping whoever he helped - what he doesn't understand is that looking after himself is equally important, and he's hurting foggy by always putting himself in danger. And when foggy realises that physical punishments like spanking aren't enough, he knows he needs to talk to a professional and ask for their advice on how to discipline Matt.
Ugh, I love the idea of him going to work before going to the clinic. He doesn't get as much done as he would usually, and Foggy hardly talks to him until it's time to leave - then he gives Matt the clothes to change into, even though Karen's just in the other room, and stands and waits while Matt changes. and Matt hasn't had his fidget toy so he's probably been fiddling with his pens and maybe he has ink on his hands - the only proper contact they have is when foggy sees and, Matt, I told you that you needed to be tidy for this, and he takes Matt to the kitchen, where he attempts to scrub the stains away before they head to the doctor's. And Karen's just sort of watching curiously the whole time, wondering what Matt could've done to make foggy so mad.
Oh god yeah, Matt would definitely be desperate to suck foggy off, because he can do it, he wants to be reassured that he can make foggy feel good with his mouth, but foggy says no, I dont want that right now matty, and he guides Matt into his lap instead. Matt is a bit upset, but foggy promises it's not because Matt's bad at giving blow jobs, he just wants Matt to use his hands instead - and he guides Matt through it, making sure he makes lots of pleased noises, and telling Matt how clever he is, how good he is. Ugh and yessss when he comes on matt's back, Matt can just feel it everywhere, and it's confirmation that he belongs to foggy and it's so good, but maybe he asks one more time anyway, tentatively, tell me I'm yours? And foggy tells him over and over.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)There's kibble designed for slaves, but Foggy refuses to buy it, or Matt's pretty sure he'd be eating that today. Instead Foggy puts a bowl of bland cereal or cold oatmeal in the cage for him, and only lets him out with barely enough time to wash and dress - and that's when he calls the clinic, while Matt's scrambling to give himself a sponge bath and dress for the office.
And yeah, he clings to the knowledge that whoever he helped needed saving, he can't comprehend that he matters, or even that he's actually hurting Foggy, not just making him angry by putting himself in danger like that. And Foggy's used non-physical punishments on Matt before, but nothing seems to have got through to him yet, maybe he really does need to treat Matt more like the pet he is, and less like his friend and lover.
And yes, Matt's distracted at work, playing with his pens and his stationary, and so's Foggy. Karen's burning up with curiosity about what Matt's done to piss Foggy off so much that he's actually exercising his authority over Matt (because normally he's willing to let Matt take the lead), and maybe wondering if it's connected to the way Matt's moving a little stiffly today. Maybe she hesitantly asks Matt what happened, if he's okay, when Foggy goes out to get lunch - he doesn't ask Matt what he wants, but he still gets Matt something to eat, and Matt's a bit surprised, because he hadn't expected that - and Matt just tells her that he screwed up so badly Foggy had to put him in his cage for the rest of the night. And they're both grateful that they don't have to deal with clients that day.
Foggy probably tells him that he doesn't want to come down Matt's throat, and he knows that's what he'll do if he lets Matt suck him off. And yes to giving Matt lots of positive feedback as Matt jerks him off. Even after Foggy's covered Matt in come on both sides he still needs the verbal reassurance, because Foggy hasn't referred to him as his since the clinic, and of course Foggy tells him again and again that, yes, Matt is Foggy's beautiful brave boy. Depending on if it's the weekend yet maybe Foggy lets his come dry on Matt, allows him to wear it all day, or maybe he gets out Matt's rarely used collar instead. And normally Matt hates wearing his collar, but Foggy didn't bother collaring him for the visit to the doctor, and he'd been very conscious of his bare neck at the clinic, heard some other owners wondering why Foggy hadn't bothered to collar his pet, if he was that much of an embarrassment.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-05 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)Foggy absolutely makes Matt use the bathroom, because even if Matt needs to go again during the night, foggy would rather it didn't happen. And Matt has to stand there for a minute, with Foggy's eyes on him, and he can't go, but foggy just waits him out. (And maybe this is why foggy brings up bladder control with the doctor? Idk if you saw, mentioned above. Maybe Matt does semi-regularly wake up in the night to go.)
Matt's past experiences with cages have been different - they've been too small, he's gotten cramp, he's been locked in there without food or water for longer than should be allowed. And Matt's thinking about that as he crawls inside, and he pushes himself right into the corner as foggy sets up the water and the buzzer. And foggy watches Matt crawl on all fours and is reminded of what Matt actually is - yes, his friend, but fundamentally a pet. It's how he's been raised, it's how things are, and foggy sometimes forgets that. Forgets how much discipline Matt needs - how he deserves respect, but also requires foggy to deny him, sometimes. Matt will just wind up hurting himself if foggy can't remember that he sometimes needs to be caged, and reminded of his status in Foggy's care/home.
Matt tries to explain when he wakes foggy up - I didn't realise how early it was, I thought that -- but foggy cuts him off. Do you need the bathroom Matt? no, foggy. then lie back down.
Does foggy give Matt cutlery? Does he let Matt go to the bathroom to wash or has he just left a bucket outside Matt's cage? He unlocks the door and Matt climbs out and rushes to get ready, knowing he won't be able to look his best, and helplessly distracted by Foggy's conversation on the phone.
Ugh Karen totally talks to Matt while foggy is out, and Matt tells her about the cage, and he's quiet, embarrassed - Karen's not used to him like that, and she's suddenly reminded of what Matt is, as well. She doesn't know how to act, and when foggy comes back she actually asks - is it okay if I talk to him, today? And foggy gives Matt his food, and talks to her as Matt starts to eat it, saying how Matt's been behaving poorly and probably needs some time to think about what he's done, alone. And Matt's just burning up, eyes pricking, wishing foggy wouldn't talk about him as if he wasn't there - not in front of Karen.
and yessss. Foggy tells Matt how brave and clever he is, because those are the things that were attacked most at the clinic - Matt cried, and was repeatedly called stupid in various ways. And Matt gets this look on his face when foggy goes to clean him up after sex, and it's obvious he doesn't want to be cleaned up...so foggy suggests his collar. They've had it ever since foggy got him, but it's always made Matt uncomfortable so they never used it. But when foggy suggests it this time, Matt jumps at the opportunity - yes, foggy, please, please please -- and foggy is surprised. He puts the collar on Matt, and asks Matt to explain why he wants it so much - asks, rather than demands.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 07:01 am (UTC)(link)And yes to Matt having problems pissing on command, and Foggy not giving in. I do love the idea of bladder control testing, but I'm not sure how practical it is in the time they'd have during a last minute appointment.
And yes, Matt's had bad experiences with cages before - the one Foggy's got is a luxury model to him, but it still doesn't stop him remembering the bad times. He's so relieved when Foggy guides his hand to the water bottle - and then to the buzzer - previously he's just been left to piss himself in his cage, and then had to beg to be allowed to clean it up. He kisses Foggy's hand when he's shown the buzzer, whispering his thanks over and over again. And fuck yes, to it really hitting Foggy that Matt is fundamentally a pet, that he needs things Foggy probably hasn't been giving him, discipline as well as love and respect.
And definitely, Matt tries to explain himself - but Foggy's out of patience with his antics, probably includes the order to shut up, and that's the last time Matt tries to start a conversation until Foggy tells him his punishment is over.
I'd say he gives Matt a plastic spoon, and maybe the bowl's plastic too - the sort of bowl and cutlery only the most poorly trained of pets would use. And unf, probably a bucket, cold water, barely enough, with a small, rough towel to dry himself off with, and orders to just piss in the bucket once he's clean. Matt can't focus on anything but Foggy's phone conversation, and Foggy doesn't give him a chance to even brush his teeth, just tosses a bit of chewing gum at him, and tells him to chew on that as they leave the apartment.
And yes, normally he hates the way he's expected/required to look attractive at all times, but now that Foggy isn't giving him the chance to groom properly it makes him feel useless. And maybe Foggy doesn't offer Matt his arm the way he normally would, maybe he just gives him his cane - and Matt's thinking that his owner's so angry with him, so ashamed of his poor behaviour that he doesn't even want to be seen touching him?
Yeah, Karen's not used to Matt acting like property, Foggy's always encouraged him to act like he was their equal, so for Matt to explain that he'd spent the night in a cage, and for it to be perfectly clear from his attitude that he thinks - no, he knows that it's his own fault? She sometimes forgets that Matt's not free, but not today, and she's abruptly conscious of how rude she's being - to Foggy, not to Matt - by going behind his back to question his pet like this. Maybe Matt anxiously explains that even though he's angry Foggy was still kind enough to leave him water, and even give him a buzzer in case he woke up needing to piss.
And yes to her asking if it's okay for her to talk to Matt today when Foggy gets back - she probably asks the same question the next day, when she sees Matt in his collar, even though this time he's put together and smiling, on Foggy's arm. And unf, Matt's humiliation at Foggy talking to Karen like he can't understand - he probably flinches when she asks that question the next day, but this time Foggy tells her that Matt's taken his punishment like a good boy, and it's over.
Oh, definitely, Matt needs to hear that he's brave and clever, because he doesn't feel that way right now. He feels like the stupid cowardly pet he's been called so many times in the past. And definitely for Matt showing that he wants to be cleaned up even less than usual today (because Matt never really wants to wash off Foggy's scent) and Foggy offering the collar, not really expecting Matt to accept. I think they have used it in the past, but only when they absolutely had to, when they needed to go somewhere that doesn't allow uncollared pets. And yes for Foggy asking, not demanding, to know why Matt wants it.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 08:49 am (UTC)(link)Ugh yes to Matt thanking foggy as he's shown the water, but then even more so when he's shown the buzzer (because there have been times where he's been left in a cage for so long that he's felt forgotten about, and other times where he's been given water for the express reason of being made to piss himself, but neither of those is what's happening here, and Matt's so grateful. Maybe that's another reason he presses the buzzer when he wakes up - he keeps thinking about the times he'd prayed for his owner to unlock his cage, even though his owner had been awful. He doesn't know what he'd do if the buzzer didn't work or foggy didn't actually follow through and come to check on him.) I wonder how foggy feels while Matt's thanking him - I feel like either he'd be feeling honest to god pity which Matt would hate, or else irritation, maybe?
Yes, foggy tells Matt to shut up, and Matt just falls silent instantly, but his breathing is a little faster, and he has his fingers between the bars of the cage, already hinting without really meaning to that he wants foggy to touch him/that he's sorry. But foggy just leaves him there, of course.
Guh yes, to the water in a bucket - another thing that brings back bad memories, because how many times had Matt just had a bucket of water emptied over his head, instead of a bath. And usually foggy tells him how he looks/helps him comb his hair, but today he doesn't, and they don't really have time anyway, and Matt wouldn't care if it was just that they'd gotten up late and he's rushing around - he wouldn't give a fuck if he wasn't looking up to other people's standards - but it's different when Foggy's orchestrated it this way, and it's one more thing that makes it hard for Matt to be a good boy, when he knows he absolutely has to be. Ugh yes to the gum as well, which maybe ends up getting commented on at the clinic.
Maybe the cane is pressed into Matt's hand and he hardly knows what to do with it...he doesn't want to ask foggy another question in case he shuts him down again, but he wordlessly touches Foggy's arm/pulls at his sleeve, and foggy just steps out of reach, or maybe even tells Matt no. And he's not ashamed of being with Matt or people knowing Matt's his, because he couldn't ever be, but he is ashamed of matt. Because Matt's better than getting himself beat up even while Foggy's trying his damnedest to look out for him.
Yeah and Karen's surprised to see Matt acting/being treated this way, but then she doesn't really question it? Matt must've something bad for him to be in so much trouble. And she stops talking to Matt when foggy explains he's being punished, and Matt's basically isolated in his office, hardly getting anything done for the rest of the day, until foggy brings him his clothes - maybe he gives Matt a last check over while he's naked, ordering him to stand up straight because he knows Matt wants to preserve a bit of dignity with Karen still in the building, by hunching in on himself.
He definitely would want to assure Karen that foggy was being kind to him, comparatively. Maybe Karen talks to foggy about that, later, and foggy winces, tells her about some of the ways Matt was treated in the past.
Foggy notices the way Matt responds to Karen asking whether she can talk to Matt the next day, and he puts his hand on Matt's shoulder or in his hair, and Matt ducks his head, pleased, when foggy says he's been a good boy. And yes to Matt seeming happy and put together - because, actually, he needed to be put in his place in order to feel good later, and he seems happier to Karen than he has in a long time.
Mmyes. And foggy slowly gives Matt back his responsibility/independence, but he's more careful about it than usual. He's not going to constantly act like Matt's a freeman anymore because it's unhealthy, sometimes, and Matt needs stricter boundaries than Foggy's been giving him.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 09:47 am (UTC)(link)Oh yes, he's being punished, but Foggy's still taking care of him, making sure he's okay. For some pets their cage is a sanctuary, but it's never been like that for Matt (maybe his disability means he's always been treated as bargain basement goods, damaged and not really meant for display, which is why it feels so good that Foggy normally wants to show him off). I think it's probably mostly irritation when Matt's thanking him - it feels like Matt didn't trust him to take care of him even when he's this angry - but there's probably a bit of pity there as well.
And he never really doubts that Foggy will let him out/come check on him, but...he genuinely does think it's morning, he's narrowed his senses down to Foggy, and maybe Foggy's just got up to piss. He's trying to show his contrition, to cook for his master and be a good pet, but Foggy shuts him down and leaves him there.
And yes, god yes, at least Foggy lets him clean himself up, doesn't just dump the bucket of water over his head, and he's allowed to piss. And yes, to him normally having help from Foggy to look good, so he knows he's pleasing to his master if no-one else, but now Foggy's set it up so that he's going to be a mess all day, he's going to look like the poorly trained pet he was when Foggy got him, not the status symbol Foggy's made him into, that Foggy deserves. And yes to him getting comments on his teeth not being brushed at the clinic.
Unf yes, Foggy's not even giving Matt more than the bare minimum of orders, and Matt doesn't dare actually ask, not aloud, but Foggy moves away from him, and it's a rejection that really hurts. And yes, Foggy is ashamed of Matt, but not for the reasons Matt's thinking, he's ashamed that Matt doesn't understand how precious he is, how he's worth more than getting himself beat up by going out to fight injured.
Oh, definitely, she trusts Foggy, and she knows how lenient he usually is with Matt (maybe even knows about Daredevil, but maybe not) so she knows that for Foggy to be treating Matt like a pet, and a bad pet at that he must have done something terrible. So yes, once she knows that Matt's being punished she respects Foggy's decision, and leaves Matt to stew in his own anxieties and fears. And yes, I love the idea of Foggy giving Matt a last-minute check-over - maybe that's when he catches the ink on Matt's fingers?
And yes, Matt wants to defend Foggy, make it clear that he's being gentle even when he's punishing Matt, and yes to Karen asking Foggy about that later.
Of course Foggy's going to comfort Matt physically when he flinches at Karen checking if he's in trouble, and yes, being put in his place has really helped stabilise him.
And god yes, this does lead to a change, to Foggy actually giving Matt firmer boundaries, and enforcing them in a way he didn't before. Maybe Karen's more conscious of Matt's status from now on as well - checks in with Foggy when Matt seems to be going full speed ahead, making sure he's got his owner's approval, rather than letting him just go ahead with whatever he wants to make.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)And yes definitely - Matt's always hated being caged, and honestly, foggy doesn't ever want Matt to feel comfortable in one. He'd rather Matt's first instinct be to try and escape - because with Matt as daredevil, it's those kinds of instincts that might save his life one day. And yeah I think foggy would be irritated - matt's so fucking relieved that foggy isn't abusing him, and Foggy's just like, when have I ever?? Even when he first got Matt, and he swung between being unruly - testing his limits, pushing, acting out - and scarily contrite/submissive (usually when he was scared), foggy always took care of him.
Yeah, Matt had probably been thinking about ways to make it up to foggy, because he feels so bad, and is sure foggy will appreciate Matt making him breakfast, and he's surprised to find out it's not morning. Then he realises there's nothing he can really do to make this better - he just ends up making it worse, and that's frustrating as hell. He just feels helpless. Also - I bet when Matt used the buzzer, foggy almost had a heart attack, half expecting to find Matt panicking or crying, because he understands that the cage might be triggering for him. He's relieved that Matt's mostly okay, then he's pissed that Matt's not accepting his punishment properly - trying to make it up to foggy before he's been given permission.
And all this stuff makes so much sense considering how Matt is at the clinic? Like, foggy goes from focusing all of his attention on Matt, when Matt gets home - yelling at Matt, checking his injuries, etc, to practically ignoring him for almost a day, so Matt's probably getting whiplash already, let alone when the doctor starts being really physical with him. It's no wonder Matt comes so quickly - it's the first time he's been properly touched in what's starting to feel like forever, especially to someone with matt's senses, who relies so heavily on touch. Without physical contact, it doesn't take long for him to start feeling stranded. And also the crying - it's been building and building, and he's having his flaws pointed out to his owner, and Matt doesn't want foggy to think that he's bad or worthless, but foggy must already think that because he's hardly spoken to Matt all day...and then matt's just fucking bawling, and Foggy's either really shocked or had absolutely been expecting it??
And yeah, maybe before the doctor tests Matt's gag reflex he pulls down Matt's bottom lip with his thumb, and looks at his teeth. He asks foggy whether Matt brushes regularly - suggests that foggy might need to do it for him, or watch Matt do it, because it looks like his pet's been lazy and is skipping.
If karen does know, she might even be in the room with them when foggy starts checking over Matt, and she sees all his injuries and guesses exactly what's happened. And yeah, that probably is when foggy notices the ink on Matt's hand - he asks what happened and Matt mumbles something. speak properly. Matt tells him he snapped one of his pens and Foggy's just, did you decide not to listen when I said you have an appointment later?. And Matt blanches because he knows Foggy's referencing all the other times Matt hasn't listened to him. And then foggy drags him or orders him to the kitchen (maybe Matt's still naked....) and fills the sink with water, puts the chipped bar of soap that Matt always avoids into his hand and tells him he's got 5 minutes to get rid of as much of the stain as he can.
And yeah, after it all, Matt finds things changing quite a bit, and even Karen's checking up on him, and he's just not getting away with as much as he's used to. And sometimes it results in him snapping at foggy and/or Karen, but they just take each problem as it comes, knowing it's better for Matt in the long run.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)No, Foggy really doesn't want Matt to feel comfortable in any sort of cage - maybe if Matt was a normal pet, even with his history it would be a good idea to give him that, teach him to think of his cage as a place of safety, somewhere his owner won't make demands of him - but not for a vigilante. And definitely irritated by that, by the idea that Matt's so grateful not to be abused, that he'd even think Foggy was capable of that, but it also makes him remember Matt's history.
Ooh, yes I like your characterisation of Matt's behaviour when Foggy first got him - I think he was a discard when Foggy got him, a pet that's been judged unfit for purpose, and Foggy's parents got him, because pets are trained in household chores as well, and Matt had been a rich brat's study aid, until the lazy bugger flunked all of his classes, and Matt was blamed for that. (Actually I think the cage cost more than Matt did.)
Oh definitely, Matt's trying deperately to show his owner how sorry he is, and it's just backfiring on him, and Foggy is just so frustrated because Matt scared him again, and he's never been this bad about accepting punishment before.
Oh yeah, Matt's already had half a night and most of a day of punishment, of being ignored and refused the touch he needs so badly to ground himself with. And then he's being touched by a stranger, and he's trying so hard not to listen to people talking about how much his owner must be ashamed of him not to collar him, how badly behaved he must be. He feels like the discard he used to be, that Foggy spent so much time and effort training him not to be. And having his flaws pointed out to his owner is like hearing how much of Foggy's time he's wasted.
Yes, no wonder he starts crying, the doctor obviously thinks he's a discard, badly trained, and Foggy might not have been expecting it when they went into the exam, but he recognised the signs of Matt on the verge of a crying fit.
And yes, Matt probably flinches at that, or tries to, because he's normally good about brushing his teeth, but he never had the chance to do it today.
Ooh yes, if Karen knows that Matt's Daredevil they don't need to hide Matt's injuries or scars, and it's going to be obvious what happened, why Foggy's so pissed. And yes, to Foggy having no patience with Matt trying to hide his mistakes, snapping at him in a way he so rarely does, and referencing all of Matt's previous failures. And oh yes, to leaving Matt naked until he's done his best to clean his hands, and using the bar of soap that Matt tries not to use.
Definitely not getting away with the sort of shit he used to, and having difficulty adjusting to being brought back under control. Karen's new dynamic with Matt ends up a sort of balancing act, because even though he's Foggy's pet he's also one of Karen's bosses. And yes, they definitely work through things as they come, working on keeping Matt as safe and stable as they can.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)Yessss I love all your ideas about Matt's past. I imagine that inbetween his last owner and foggy, Matt spent quite a lot of time in the system, hardly ever brought out to meet prospective buyers, being generally maltreated, and that's how he went from being a 'good' pet to one that was more unstable - prone to mistrust/expect the worst. It might've been in this time that Matt started daredevil-ing as well? And that further blurred the lines for Matt - it's hard to act like a pet when you're parading as a free man at every opportunity. Did Foggy's parents buy Matt especially for foggy? Or did they have him and then give him to foggy later, when they saw how well they got on? Would foggy have trained Matt himself if he belonged to his parents?
Ugh yes, as well as being humiliated by everything the doctor and foggy are saying, matt can hear people talking about him outside the room. And it's been difficult since Matt was finally bought again, but Matt's been trying so hard to be someone foggy can be proud of - as a person and a pet - and people are talking about him as if he never underwent that change? As if everything he's achieved and everything Foggy's done just hasn't happened, as if Matt never met foggy, and he's still back in that godawful situation. And Matt never wanted to be such a disappointment to foggy, and that's what pushes him over the edge and finally makes him cry. And Foggy's been watching matt's face as all these thoughts play out, and yeah, he knows the tears are coming.
Yeah, Foggy's definitely low on patience by now, and he can't believe Matt's still trying to cover shit up, even though it's only something as small as breaking a pen. And Karen's there when foggy gets Matt to speak up, and she's probably thinking about times when matt's avoided answering her questions, even when they're perfectly valid, and later she'll ask foggy about when she ought to press Matt and make him speak to her clearly. And yeah guh maybe Matt will reach for his clothes, but foggy says no, leave them, and makes Matt walk naked to the kitchen, and Karen's never seen him naked, and Matt's not used to that anymore - to his body being on show. Karen's his friend and his employee, and Matt doesn't know whether to drag his feet in the hope that foggy will change his mind and tell him to get dressed, or go as fast as possible to get it over with.
And yes, the new dynamics between him and Karen would be so interesting...she still respects Matt as her boss, but she finds herself looking out for him as well, and although she does what he tells her, foggy gives her permission to use her intuition when he's not around (which isn't often, but still) about what Matt needs. Sometimes she gently insists that Matt goes home, or suggests that he doesn't need another cup of coffee - and Matt opens his mouth to laugh it off or tell her to stop worrying, and then pulls himself up short (except on the times he doesn't - and Foggy's told Karen to let him know when Matt avoids doing what she's asked without good reason). Matt definitely has trouble being brought back under control, but he's so fucking loved and ugh.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)And yes, Matt probably starts acting out again in ways he hasn't since Foggy first got him, and part of it's the cage; it's been years since he's been kept in a cage and it's deeply upsetting. But part of it's that he can still hear what's happening outside, and eventually Foggy twigs to that and gets him earplugs, which don't keep him from hearing everything, but cut it down to almost normal human hearing levels.
And ooh yes to him spending time in the system - but I think he had a bad report from his last owner (who was actually the rich brat's parent) who had impossible expectations - as a pet Matt didn't have the ability to keep the brat's nose to the grindstone the way he was expected to. That downgraded his value, and it's how he went to being valued at least a bit to being a discard. But I don't think he had the freedom to start daredeviling until he was Foggy's.
And yeah, I think they bought Matt for Foggy, and went for a discard on the assumption that he'd be used more as a houseslave than a pet, not understanding that discard usually means behavioural issues.
Oh yes, Matt's been trying so hard to be worthy of Foggy, of the owner who somehow impossibly treats him like a person, gives him allowances no other owner ever would, and now he's made Foggy ashamed of him, embarrassed to claim him. He's disappointed Foggy so much, and that knowledge is overwhelming - he probably begs to be allowed to wear his collar to the clinic if Foggy ever needs to punish him this way again.
Oh god yes, it's less about trying to cover shit up and more about not being able to judge his own volume right then, but Foggy doesn't realise that. And Karen definitely wonders if she should be calling Matt on his evasions too, and it's something she chases up with Foggy later.
Oh yes, Matt knows that a good pet is supposed to be casual about nudity, not to care who sees him naked, but he can count his friends on the fingers of one hand, and he doesn't want Karen to ogle him, but Foggy isn't budging and delaying's just going to get him in even more trouble isn't it?
Oh god yes - Karen's first impression of Matt was that he was the one in charge, and it took this to shake her from that, to make her realise that no matter how much she respects Matt he needs looking out for. And Foggy pretty much designates her as Matt's handler for when he's unavailable, putting it on record formally so that someone's there to look out for Matt if he can't be. And yes to Matt starting to refuse her suggestions before he remembers that Foggy's approved of her making these requests - and Foggy pulling him up when he doesn't.
It's a slow process but they love Matt, and he's so much happier and healthier once he's been brought back to a better balance. He probably wears his collar more often as well, because now he's got a good memory to associate with it, and a traumatic memory linked to going out without it.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-06 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)And yes, that makes sense about Matt's history - him and foggy were both in for a shock when they found out who they'd ended up with. Foggy thinks his parents have bought him someone who's practically just a live in servant, and Matt thinks he's been bought by some kind of tyrant...but even when foggy realises that Matt's going to be a handful, he can't let him go, because sometimes he makes foggy laugh so much even without meaning to, and he's so smart, and he's been through so much shit and it isn't fair. And foggy's determined to give Matt the life that he deserves, even though training Matt isn't easy.
Ugh yes, Matt knows he's not supposed to care about being naked in front of other people, but he does, and the worst thing is that foggy knows he does but is making him do this anyway. it probably makes it worse that Matt hasn't washed properly that day - he feels dirty, and he's scared Karen will just lose all respect for him. Delaying would definitely mean more trouble, because they're on a tight schedule, especially with the last minute appointment, and Foggy's already annoyed that they're wasting time because of Matt needing to wash his hands.
Yes to Karen being designated as Matt's secondary handler - she takes the role as seriously as she does her actual job, and together her and foggy work out how things might change at the office to help accommodate how foggy wants to start treating Matt. Not big changes - Matt's still Foggy's partner, and has more authority than Karen in terms of their work, and he still often takes the lead on cases etc - but still things that will somehow enforce his status as Foggy's pet, rather than ignoring it.
Yeah, i feel like foggy would wait for Matt to ask for his collar every time, because it's a big thing - an obvious sign that Matt is owned by someone else. But eventually, maybe, Matt does just pretty much become a collared pet? because he likes the reassurance of foggy being proud enough for others to know that he's his, and also because it makes sense considering how their relationship is changing.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-07 05:54 am (UTC)(link)Yes, there's stories about what happens to bad little pets who end up as discards - since he was classed as a discard Matt's played up his poorer qualities because even being put down's better than belonging to most owners who'd buy a discard. Foggy's parents bought him sight-unseen, just looked over his training records and saw that he'd been a study aid before, which is something else Foggy could use. And yes, Foggy probably sort of falls for Matt pretty early on, and wants so badly to make his life better. I'm imagining Foggy taking Matt to buy his cage, and Matt going to the cages that are too small, or wire mesh on all sides, including the bottom, because that's what he's used to, and Foggy telling him no, and dragging him over to the nicer cages, with solid floors and just big enough for Matt to stretch out in. (And Matt thinks of it as a luxury model, maybe even admits that is costs more than he did, but it isn't, it's middle of the range.)
Oh yes, a big part of what has Matt so upset is that Foggy's not having him walk around naked to show him off, but because he's angry with him, and Matt already made it worse once by getting ink on his hands and not cleaning it off already. He's never heard of any free person being able to really respect a pet once they've seen it acting like one - and a pet being allowed to be a lawyer's odd already. Even with Matt registered as Foggy's study aid at university (which functionally got him a law degree in all but name) he'd expected to be Foggy's secretary at best, so when Foggy somehow swung getting both of them internships at L&Z - his owner is some sort of miracleworker.
And yes, of course Karen takes he responsibilities seriously. I feel like they might involve Matt a bit in working out how to accommodate the new situation, give him some input, if no control, and find out what makes him feel safe as Foggy's. And Matt can't quite believe how lucky he is to still have Karen's respect - and the first time he goes to take the lead on a case he sort of stutters to a halt when he realises what he's doing, only for Foggy to tell him to go ahead.
Oh yes, Matt definitely has to ask to wear his collar, and eventually he ends up only taking it off for court and daredeviling.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-07 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)and ugh yes to matt playing up his poorer qualities. it takes him a while to realise that he actually genuinely likes foggy, because he's so busy trying to piss him off or manipulate him. but foggy's always just almost unbearably patient with matt: he rarely gets annoyed, or even disappointed, until it's been long enough for him to earn matt's trust because he knows it's unfair to expect too much of him right from the start. but of course now it's different - now foggy does sometimes get disappointed in/angry with matt, because they've been through so much together, and matt knows better now.
yeah, i love the idea of them going to buy the cage together. foggy honestly never intends to use it, but that doesn't mean he's going to get one that would be uncomfortable. when matt tells him, with some bitterness/shame, that the cage costs more than he did, foggy gives his elbow a squeeze - maybe says something about how they didn't know what they had, with matt. he's worth a hell of a lot more than a bunch of wire mesh.
hm. maybe one of the things the three of them discuss is whether its okay to bring punishments into the office? because humiliation is clearly a strong deterrent for matt...they'd never do anything when someone other than foggy/karen is there, of course, but perhaps matt finds himself over foggy's knee a few times in the future, or being told to stand quietly in the corner of his office. and yeah, he definitely feels lucky to have karen's respect, not realising that there's no way he ever could have lost it, and yes to him being hesitant about taking the lead again, only foggy foggy to be so casual about it, 'go for it, buddy. you definitely know what you're talking about better than i do.'
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-07 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)And yes to Matt trying to manipulate Foggy, and piss him off so determinedly that he doesn't realise how much he's growing to like his owner until later. I'm not sure which of them initiates sex the first time, Foggy because Matt knows it's not his place to do that, or Matt because Foggy isn't going to have sex with Matt until he trusts Foggy enough to offer himself. And yes to Foggy being so incredibly patient with Matt until he earns Matt's trust. I suspect that this Matt admitted to his vigilante activities pretty much as soon as they started, because he wouldn't have the option of hiding them the way canon Matt did. And yes to Foggy feeling that by now Matt should trust him and being disappointed and angry when he tries to hide things or breaks the rules Foggy's mostly put in place for Matt's own safety.
I'm not sure - like I said before, conventional slave psychology is that a cage is a pet's retreat, its sanctuary of sorts - so Foggy wants Matt involved in choosing it, in picking something he's comfortable with. He twigs that a cage won't feel safe for Matt when he sees that sort of cage Matt's expecting him to buy, but he legally has to have one to keep a pet. And so much yes to Foggy reassuring Matt about his value when he confesses that the cage cost more than he did (it came to somewhere in the region of $1000) Matt's worth more than a pile of steel.
Oooh yes. Foggy hadn't realised just how strong a deterrent it is until now, but they definitely discuss whether or not to bring punishments into the office. Matt knows that his input isn't required on that question, and just curls up against Foggy as he discusses the pros and cons with Karen. But so much yes to Matt finding himself over Foggy's knee or order to stand in the corner - nose pressed to the wall maybe? and of course they'd never do anything like that where clients could observe it - it would undermine Matt's authority with them way too much. But it doesn't affect Karen's respect for him at all, no. And of course it doesn't matter to Foggy when Matt takes the lead - it never has before, so why should it now.
I've got a scene in my head of later, where Matt's teamed up with Luke Cage, Danny Rand and Jessica Jones and there's a party that they could use to get information for their current case. Danny could swing an invitation for himself, since he's a billionaire, but he'd have to bring a pet with him - which he doesn't have. And Matt's all casually explaining that he could buy a discard and no-one would expect to see him with it again - they'd assume he'd killed it - but he can pick one from file with good reports on its domestic skills and convert it to a houseslave then free it in a couple of years if he doesn't want to take the time to rehabilitate it. Cue outrage. Then he checks that Danny was raised outside of America, and tells him that he could also bring a 'pet' wearing a heavy veil and covered from head to toe, and claim that he likes to keep his pets in seclusion - in which case he'd have to make a point of being very affectionate, and of comforting the 'poor frightened thing'. They'd understand a discard being all scarred up and badly behaved, and as long as a secluded pet looked affectionate and submissive enough no-one would question any slips of protocol. He ends up getting Danny's number, there's someone they can trust who he needs to talk about this with, but they can probably swing it, and explaining the situation to Foggy.
Re: matt/foggy(/any), medical examination, humiliation
(Anonymous) 2015-09-07 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)i think matt would try to initiate sex a few times at the beginning, as a type of manipulation? when he thinks he's going to be hurt/punished he tries to get out of it by offering sex, when he wants foggy to do something for him he offers sex, when he wants foggy distracted for whatever reason he offers sex. and it takes a long time for foggy to train matt out of it - to get him to actually voice how he's feeling/what he wants, and stop using sex as some kind of defensive strategy. so every time matt offers in those first few months (it might even take as long as a year?), foggy turns him down - which is so weird and frustrating to matt, because sex is so commonly expected of pets (even with his last master, when he was primarily a study aid, sex was still often demanded of him). and then one day matt initiates it for a completely different reason - because he wants to help foggy relax just because foggy deserves to relax...and if foggy's hesitant, matt then says that actually, foggy, i'd really like to have sex with you, if you'll let me, please. and foggy knows matt's being honest, and it's not like foggy hasn't been desperately wanting it, too.
hmm yes, maybe foggy thinks at first that matt would like a cage, because all the pets he's met have used them quite a lot. but then matt feels his way over to the cheapest range, and they look fucking horrible, and it's dawning on foggy how matt had been living before he'd been bought by foggy's parents. and so when they get home, he puts the cage away/in the spare room, thinking that they'll get matt adjusted to it in time, so he can call it a safe place - but before they can act on that, foggy finds out about daredevil, and just nopes out of the cage idea.
yeah, foggy's never been interested in trying to humiliate matt before. it's not something either of them gets off on, and it goes against foggy's mission to treat matt with respect. but foggy's also always found it hard to find out what kind of actions will get matt to listen to/obey him in extreme situations...and since visiting the doctor foggy realises that humiliating matt reminds him of his status in a way that'll stop him fucking up so bad. and yesss ugh, matt curling into foggy's side, foggy's arm going to loop around his shoulders as he discusses things with karen, knowing that he's not needed to contribute on this particular topic - probably fiddling with his sleeves, or the hem of foggy's jacket, and not even sure what he wants them to decide. and yeah oh god, the most standard punishment at the office probably becomes a bit of both - matt being spanked and then ordered to the corner, nose to the wall, to think about whatever it is he's done.
i like that idea! do the defenders know that matt is a pet? are you saying that matt would pretend to be danny's, and that's what he needs to talk to foggy about?
