I'm still making my way through all the old prompt posts on here, so please let me know if this has already been prompted/filled, but I couldn't get this idea out of my head. I've read about dogs being able to detect the onset of a seizure in their owners and being able to warn them in advance, so the person can get into a safe place/position during the event. It's not known for certain how the dog knows, whether there's a distinctive scent or feeling or what, but what if Matt, with his better-than-normal senses, can detect seizures too? Give me Foggy having some sort of medical condition that causes occasional seizures, and Matt acting as his early warning system.

I don't care whether Matt keeps his senses a secret and just "accidentally" manages to help Foggy during his seizures, or whether Foggy finds out about them in college after the first time Matt warns him, or even maybe Foggy doesn't start getting them until later in life, after he knows about Daredevil. I just want Matt to realize that his senses are useful for more than just beating up criminals, they can actually help keep Foggy safe!

so Matt and Foggy are together now! hooray, bring out the trumpets and roll out the red carpet, etc. after they win a case, Matt decides to take Foggy out to a fancy restaurant for Date Night.

they're not even five minutes in when a robber bursts through the doors and declares that he's taking everyone inside hostage. cue Daredevil, cue applause, and cue Matt apologizing to Foggy and promising to take him out on a better date.

the next time, Matt ends up having to run off bc there's a bank robbery three blocks away.

the next time, they end up staying in and watching a movie (with bonus narration from Foggy about how ridiculous it is), but like, fifteen minutes in Matt ends up needing to get his suit and get moving bc Spider-Man's dangling outside the window like "yo Daredevil I need your help with the Kingpin".

tl;dr: crime is fucking with Matt and Foggy's dates and giving Foggy a very bad case of sexual frustration, bc jesus christ can't this city give them one night to themselves to spend on Romance?

BONUS: they finally have one Romantic Date Night all to themselves. it's because Karen called in a few favors to old friends, and they're taking care of things and trying v hard to keep Matt's attention on his date and not, you know, crime-fighting.

Today, Hell's Kitchen came to a standstill as many famous superheroes battled on the docks in a friendly contest, an exhibition match of sorts, for the benefit of St. Agnes' Orphanage and Daycare. Each hero was sponsored by a company that pledged money to the competition, from $1000 all the way up to $25,000; the sponsor company of each disqualified hero has agreed to pay this sum to the charity.

And what is the prize for the winning hero, you ask? Some mystical artifact of mythic power, you might guess. Or perhaps a weapon of inconceivable might?

No: it is something much more powerful than that. Deceptively simple, this item is perhaps the most formidable engine of dissent among heroes since the Superhuman Registration Act.

And what is it, you ask?

It is nothing less than Matthew Murdock's legendary Chocolate Truffle Cake.

Bruce Banner found out the hard way that Murdock's cinnamon rolls are simply too exciting for the Hulk to let pass without comment; he is obliged to subsist solely upon the less flavorful vegan options.

Deadpool took one bite of his molasses cookie and promptly marched into the kitchen to propose to Matthew on the spot. Several other heroes followed him, some to chastise him, others to imitate him.

Matthew closes the shop on Sundays, and every year on the anniversary of his father's death. The associated rise in superhuman activity on those days is estimated to be the result of sugar withdrawals.

One day, Matt was too sick to go to work on a Saturday. Claire Temple took one bite of Peter Parker's pitiful pumpkin pie and promptly powerwalked to perform paramedical procedures on the bedridden Murdock. She was later hailed as Savior by all of the heroes and villains of the city.

Foggy starts seeing this new guy that he's really into, and Matt tries to be supportive. The problem is, every time Foggy is out of the room this guy is ALL OVER Matt. It's not exactly the first time someone has started dating Foggy only to want to get with his hot friend, and Matt is reluctant to say anything - maybe they're not exclusive so Matt has no moral qualms about telling Foggy his bf is cheating on him, maybe Matt just has trouble identifying shitty behaviour when it's aimed towards himself, maybe he's worried Foggy won't believe him. But this guy won't take no for an answer and starts getting more and more aggressive. He's making comments and escalating to touching and, well, Matt can't exactly punch Foggy's boyfriend in the face, can he?

And then Foggy walks in on them in a very compromising position.

Oh man. But would Foggy think it was consensual at first and then be like "Dude! Stealing my boyfriend is like, so uncool. I thought we were supposed to be wingmen!" and then Matt is like "I'm so sorry, Foggy, I didn't mean to..." and the boyfriend is like "He was begging for it, how was I supposed to resist that?" And then Matt's not even sure if maybe it really IS his fault, after all...

So basically,someone has figured out Matt is Daredevil and kidnaps Foggy to get revenge.Matt goes and finds him.

It's a trap.The villain is planning to make Matt watch him kill Foggy and then kill him.The plan backfires however,when Foggy is very enthusiastic about his torture.

I was kind of wondering, do you think things would have been different if Stick was a woman? I know Matt kinda, saw something in Stick, like he was a father figure in a way. Sorta?

But if Stick were a woman, would he still feel that way? Like, would he see her as some mother figure somehow? Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the comics, he didn't have a relationship with his mother during his childhood right?

Idk. Things probably wouldn't have been different anyway. But yeah. That was just me babbling. xD Anyways, do whatever you want with this prompt.

honestly I'm so down for any variation of this one (um. for a given value of a happy ending, that is?).

The one where Foggy walks in on this guy on top of Matt and yells "what the fuck", and Matt is horrified and embarrassed and frantically apologetic... only to realize that Foggy isn't yelling at him, he's bodily throwing his boyfriend out of the apartment and asking if Matt's all right, and Matt is just... ????? Aren't you mad at me? At which point Foggy is like, nooooo I'm so sorry, please can I hug you until you feel better, this is not your fault, obviously I'm on your side here, there are no sides, there's creepy rapey dude and you, my hurt best friend, that's not really a contest.

(because Matt totally would think it was his fault? I mean, he's Daredevil, obviously he could've just made this guy stop if he ~really~ wanted him to...)

AND the version where Foggy walks in on them and totally thinks Matt is/has been hooking up with his boyfriend behind his back and is INCREDIBLY PISSED, until at some point Matt says something that sets off a major red flag ("I'm sorry, I know, I tried to get him off of me..."), or the boyfriend says something like "yeah he's totally been asking for it" and Foggy is like, wait, no. And then... is also upset and sorry and wants to hug Matt until he feels better, actually.

I may want to write this, so: are you okay with the implication that at some earlier point in their relationship they discussed and consented to somnophilia? Matt has a serious crush on his Law school seatmate. Her hair smells amazing, she debates amazing, she talks amazing, she has amazing sense of humor. Basically, Matt thinks Foggy is amazing and he can't function well when she's around.

Foggy thinks class valedictorian Matt Murdock HATES her. "Is it because I smell bad? Why won't he won't stop sniffing?!" "He probably thinks I can't communicate well." "Ougad. Now he's laughing AT me."

Long story short, they're idiots.

Yeah. In the comics, Matt's mom left when he was a baby and he grew up thinking she was dead.

If Matt never knew his mom, maybe he would have a highly idealized idea of what a mom was supposed to be? And since Stick would fall really short of that, I could see him actually not imprinting on her the way he did with Stick in canon. Which might lead to her not abandoning him, and him becoming her soldier?

There are probably other ways Stick being a woman could change things, but I can't think of any in particular. I am really in love with the idea of fem!Stick, though. I feel like there aren't a lot of female mentors with a personality like Stick's.
