Rules:
  • General
    1. YKINMKATO. Play nice. If you don't like something, scroll on.

    2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

    3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

    4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

    5. Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

    6. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

  • Prompts
    1. All types of prompts are welcome.

    2. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing or characters, keywords, kink).

    3. Warnings are nice, but not mandatory. Get DW Blocker if there's anything you really don't want to see.

    4. Reposted prompts are allowed once one round has passed - i.e., prompts from post #2 cannot be reposted until post #4. Please include a link to where it has been previously posted.

  • Fills
    1. Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill.

    2. Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP Post.

    3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.

    4. Multiple fills are always okay.

    5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art, vids are all welcome.

    6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

Someone please please do this. Their interviews together have me convince they have slept together or really really want too.

SA: Oh, I'm glad. I always worry about messing up someone else's awesome prompt when I reply with something other than a fill, even though some of my favorite threads have loads of conversations in them.

And Foggy would definitely introduce himself as a Nelson here, even if his name is legally Sharpe/whatever, right? I mean, his name isn't legally Foggy, either. (Cue confusion: Wait, you introduced yourself as Foggy Nelson, but there is no Foggy or Nelson in our records. Oh, all right, my legal name is Franklin Sharpe, but I'M Foggy Nelson.)

She successfully fosters an ever-changing household of mutant children, you prompted a possible minor mutation, that's just where my brain went. The possible connection to Matt, who is also not dependent on the eyes in front of his head, meant I HAD to include it.

I love this prompt! Matt's co-supers thinking it'll be good to have the kids around someone who got out of this awful situation, then suddenly noping the kids away from him when they hear how fucked-up his view of the training still is.
"No, Murdock. There's nothing good about this kind of treatment. There are no benefits. If you can't understand that, get out of here and don't come back until you've had extensive therapy."

Re: Gen: Connecting child soldiers and DD's fighting style

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't much like this prompt at first, but now I'm reconsidering. I'd be even more impressed if the "co-supers" cared enough to actually find Matt an appropriate, discreet therapist.

As OP I support both these statements.

Re: Gen, Drops of Jupiter

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
welp there's a headcanon i didn't know i needed. just anytime drops of jupiter comes on, matt starts giggling and foggy is like nO NO MATT SHUT UP I DON'T HAVE TO TOLERATE THIS

Re: minifill: the lights of the city were too heavy for me

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
this is fine, i didn't need my heart anyway.

I love how naturally it flowed, the revelation. Very quiet and understated. The whole thing was understated, and so, SO painful. I wonder if 616!Matt will be thinking of that for a long time later - that other universe where he was a small kid left alone in the world with all those confusing senses.

I cried at least as hard at this as I did during the actual 'Jack dies' scenes in the show, you jerk.

Re: Pity - Gen/Other

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah or equally just out of a desire to hurt Matt as bad as he was hurting. When hurt or angry, especially with people close to you, you strike out in the WORST ways, and say things you don't even mean just to cause pain.

The way Matt responds to it is a little interesting, idk, I'd have to watch it more closely next time.

Alligators in the sewers

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Daredevil (and other New York native superheroes) try to convince not-New York native superheroes that there really are alligators living in the sewers.

Bonus if Spiderman says that he named one of them Curt.

Poor Wesley has a rough job. ;) Glad you like it, OP! Every time I think of this prompt, I start giggling again...

Re: Gen: Several Time Matt/Daredevil had a wardrobe malfunction

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The obvious question is if the other kind of wardrobe malfunction is acceptable

foggy is like smelling salts for unconscious matt

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
i'm not sure if this happens to other people but occasionally a fleeting, single, unattached thought jumps into my head from nowhere and i have nothing to do with it, except post it here and hope that it inspires someone else.

i was on the bus and my brain goes "hey, matt's senses are super sensitive, what if when he faints/gets knocked out instead of smelling-salts, foggy's scent is enough to bring him to." like maybe in the same way that certain smells can trigger different emotional responses/different memories matt's brain says "hey matt, rise and shine, foggy's here"

this is a very up-to-the-filler prompt, i have no specific requests but i would really love to read something based on the idea that foggy is the human equivalent of smelling salts for matt.

O_O

I... I love this prompt too much for words...

Like Foggy's mutant ability could be something like a jumped up sixth sense, a sort of subconscious telepathy, so that he always could intuit how a photographer wanted him to look, or have something ready for someone just before they realized they wanted/needed it, or find the word on the tip of someone's tongue. And it wasn't a conscious telepathy, like he can't read thoughts or anything, but there was so little general knowledge on mutant abilities that people thought he was reading their minds and invading their privacies and so Rosalinde of course can't have a child like that, it looks bad and makes people uncomfortable.

(Anna thinks it's a godsend, since Foggy is the perfect assistant in the kitchen and has a magic touch at calming the other children down when they're worked up and don't know why.)

Matt doesn't actually have an X-gene, but his senses make it seem like he does, since he can interact with the world in a way that the average recently-blinded-person would have trouble with, so he creeped people out in a similar way that Foggy did before coming to the Nelsons.

(Foggy is delighted to have someone he can be so quick with, unreservedly. Foggy is the first one Matt tells about his senses, since Foggy picks up on something along those lines anyway and is open to him about what his own mutant ability is, so they like to trade off stories of Matt telling Foggy what he's perceiving from their environment and Foggy telling Matt what the people around them are wanting or needing.)

Karen superspeeds. :3 Not like Quicksilver or Speed where she moves quickly, but more like there's a weird time bubble around her: everything she does or touches seems to go faster. So she brews really bad coffee and tea and even cocoa because she can't stop burning it, and it's tricky for her to keep a garden because it becomes a jungle within weeks, and she can slam through a homework assignment when other kids are still reading the directions.

(It's awesome when they're in a hurry in the mornings, though. Karen can get everyone dressed and hair braided while Mama/Papa are fixing breakfast, and they're out the door in half the time.)

This is totally my headcanon for every time Matt gets knocked out Daredeviling and the Avengers need him to come to quickly. So, seconded!

"daredevil-themed BDSM dungeon" is literally the only way it could be accurately described tbh

Then said hero encounters actual mutant crocs in the sewer and DD is like "uh-huh, right. Are you gonna find the drop bears there, too?"

"NO. GIANT. MUTANT. CROCODILES. HELP."

Art model reveal, gen/any

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Brett, Foggy or Matt once modeled for a life drawing class. One, or more, of the paintings/drawings becomes extremely public knowledge.

Bonus for all three of them, and this is how Foggy and Matt met Brett.

nayrt: i cannot recommend 2003 daredevil enough, it's not a movie, it's an experience. if you don't watch it (honestly it's terrible, i would not blame you) just please do yourself a favour and watch this scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLntlRklNBU

i still can't believe everyone involved in the production of daredevil 2003 gave this scene the green-light, i can't believe it wasn't just a mass-hallucination and that it's something that actually happened.

I guess they'd know good stock when they see it, huh?

Matt has a seizure

(Anonymous) 2015-07-23 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Matt has a seizure and Foggy is there. The fear, the disorientation, not to mention the potential for humiliation. I guess I just love to see your favorite avocado suffer.

Bonus points for any comfort, cuddles, aftercare.

if you skip to 37:40 you get a decent look at his apartment + the sensory deprivation tank https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKh9nLGa5pg (which is the most ridiculous thing i have ever seen. like, you could probably get nice, not-scary looking sensory deprivation tanks but his is this big metal coffin-looking thing. where do you go to buy one of those? who's even manufacturing them?)

Now, that's a figure drawing class I'd love to be a part of.
