There's a story where Frank is creeping around on rooftops and he thinks he's being sly and super stealthy because his intention iirc is to kill someone with a sniper rifle (which DD always gets in the way, because DD doesn't want Frank killing people), and before he even gets to where he wants to be, DD is there waiting for him. Frank sees the back of DD from far away and he's like DAMMIT HE'S HERE BUT HE HASN'T SEEN ME YET and then DD turns around and 'looks' right at him lololol. Frank is like fuuuuuck, how does he do that, maybe I really am in hell, maybe he really is the devil...

These Catholic boys and their shared demons are the best.

Your choice if wonderland is more the disney version or the American Magee's version.

You know how in the black mask outfit you can see Matt's abs through his shirt? And how tightly those jeans hug his ass?

So, we have a lot of fic about Matt getting his sweet dumb self-destructive self looked after by other people. I would like to see something about him looking after the people in his life. Maybe he brings Karen a hot pad when she's having nasty period cramps or makes her tea just how she likes it when he senses she's having a panic attack. Maybe he gives Foggy a shoulder rub when he gets migranes. Maybe he brings Claire pad thai from that place she loves after a long shift.

Just, anything with Matt being the one to take care of the people around him.

+1 if he mostly uses his super-senses to figure out when they're unhappy and what they need, and is really casual about the whole thing, and uncomfortable with being thanked.

+100 if he's partially doing it as a fuck-you to Stick, even if the old man will never know (because people deserve nice things, you jerk, and especially the people that Matt cares about).

She didn't. Oh shit. She found his high school yearbook. He won most improved for a reason.

"Wow. You ever rust in the rain buddy?" Foggy jibed .

He knows Foggy is just kidding around. But it still hits like a freight train...

"Wow. I though it couldn't be done. But you've become ever more of a freak. Why don't you just kill yourself. It's not like any of us would miss you."

He thought if he stayed ripped and stayed cold, this would stay hidden.

Not sure how it would work with car navigation for someone who is blind but I didn’t get an engineering degree so meh.)

“This is such a bad idea,” Foggy groaned into his hands. “Have you seen what happens when he gets in a car?”

“Oh yeah. Barton’s ribs still hurt from that last crash, which is why I am making Horns here a way to drive cars. Your friend will be fine. The AI isn’t going to let him crash into anything and I can kill the engine at any time,” Tony waved off his concern. “And we’re only going like, 20 miles per hour.”

“You should make it five,” Foggy muttered. “Or none. None is good. None is great.”

Tony Stark ignored it, instead choosing sweep his vision across the indoor obstacle course he used to test all of his vehicles (which, of course he had an indoor driving course for these kinds of things). There were small walls and curves placed on the driving track- all well-padded. Matt was inside a sleek blue model car, in a full crash suit and helmet which he had only relented wearing because of Foggy’s incessant nagging. They could hear him over the intercom through a microphone in his helmet. Underneath the crash suit he wore a black vest with sensors that vibrated as he got closer to the obstacles.

“Alright. The AI in the car uses an imaging system to navigate. The more intense the vibration, the faster you need to turn. If you feel the whole vest vibrating, it means there’s an obstacle in front of you, and it means you’re about to crash into something. The vibration on your back means turn around. See if you can get through the course, keep it slow and steady at first. Got it, Kiddo?”

“Yes,” Matt said over the microphone. “Also, don’t call me kid.”

“It’s not because of your age, it’s-”

“Because they look like goat horns. I got it. Can I start now?”

“Anytime you want.”

Foggy turned, but after a few moments, he didn’t hear any chaos and calamity befalling his best friend, so he turned and looked out over the obstacle course. Matt was going slow, but he was actually driving through the obstacle course. There were a few times when he stopped and hesitated, confused by the haptic feedback, but-

“Holy crap. It’s working. He’s driving,” Foggy said, impressed.

Matt navigated the course, driving a little faster on his way back. When he was finished, he exited the car door and took off his helmet. “Your design worked. I never thought I’d actually drive.” He sounded awed and …..happy. The grin that split his face made him seem years younger.

“Not bad,” Tony said. “And genius that I am, I didn’t design the vest. I talked to some people down at a university in Howdyland, Texas who were working on this. Guess they don’t just have guns and great tacos.”

“Well, tell them I said thanks,” Matt said with a laugh. “There were a few times when I wasn’t sure where to go but it worked.” He ran his gloved hands along one of the sensors. “What did they design it for?”

“It was made for paratroopers to navigate in the dark. They also designed it for motorcycle navigation. Motorcyclists are supposed to be able to use it as a GPS, or to navigate better in the dark,” Tony said, continuing to type data onto the screen in front of him.

Matt’s grin somehow got wider. “Really?”

Foggy scowled. “Oh no. You are NOT getting a motorcycle.”

Tony thought for a moment. “It might not be a bad idea to put some sensors in your suit so you can navigate if your other senses get attacked- like with sonic devices. We can work on the motorcycle later.”

“No, that would only encourage him to try crazy things! You already jump off 100 story buildings, Matt. I don’t need you doing it on a motorcycle now!”

“You always said that Daredevil sounded like a stunt driver.”

“I swear to god, Matt.”
