AAAAAAAAAH! This needs to happen. Hell, I would write it if I didn't have way too many other fics on the go right now.

As the writer of the only Rosalind Sharpe fic in existence (at least on AO3), I seriously need more people to jump on this bandwagon with me.

It's just a rich, rich area for Foggy as a character.

SA. In fact, if this is a repost I really must have missed it because my fic sorta fills it? Yes/No? Not sure?

Anyway, there needs to be more!

So, I would love a fic where Matt is somehow turned back into his 17 year old self (or younger but preferably teenage years). Still remembers everything but now is an even more obviously angsty teenager.

I basically just want to see shenanigans with a teenage Matt and Foggy and Karen trying to deal with him.

Would prefer Gen or Matt/Foggy. :D

Maybe we could also consider a more dramatic variation on this?

What if Foggy never knew that his stepmom was not his biological mother because his dad never told him, and that somehow finds out because either Rosalind comes to him when she finds out he's a lawyer too thinking she can groom him into being respectable and claim him as her own, or because they end up working with her on a case and his family gets really weird about it. And when he finds out and confronts her, he keeps it a secret from Matt and Karen.

It puts a new spin on his desire to get her approval, because he wouldn't know exactly how awful she was until he was already deeply involved in seeking it.

Just putting it out there, even though it's a bit different from the original prompt.

You are in luck my friend! I got a writing prompt that sparked this.

“I can’t believe you talked me into this,” Mike hissed as he scratched his hair. The dye still itched even though it had been several hours since it was reapplied.

“They were planning an intervention,” Matt hissed back. “I need to show them proof. They think I’m having some sort of breakdown.”

You are, Mike thought silently as he listened to the rapid heartbeat and unsteady breathing. Matt’s cane creaked in his grip and he could hear the fingerbones grinding against each other.

“Did it have to be today? I was so close to finding Strange. I need to get back to my universe, my Foggy’s in trouble.”

“They were talking about having me committed,” Matt snapped at him. “This was your idea in the first place.”

He forced his face into a smile. Mike could hear the muscles move and winced as he heard them tense further. Matt took a deep breath and pushed the door of the office open.

The three heartbeats inside picked up in shock.

“Hey guys,” Matt chirped, body tense. “Today’s finally the day you get to meet my twin brother, Mike Murdock!”

Mike sensed him gesture towards the open door and took that as his cue to step inside.

There was a thud as someone, Foggy he guessed from the strength of the vibrations, fell off the desk and onto the floor.

“Oh my god,” Brett said. “You actually have a twin brother.”

“Yep,” Matt said, in that still overly bright tone. “You weren’t thinking of doing anything crazy like having me committed were you?”

On the other side of the room, Foggy’s head thumped back on to the floor.

“You heard that,” he said. “Of course you heard that.”

Mike gave a mental shrug and decided to find a comfortable spot in which to listen to the show. Finding Strange could wait a bit longer.

Here's a question that I'm surprised no fic has tried to answer yet.

Why was Foggy singing Gilbert and Sullivan super loud in the office late at night when Karen interrupted him? Didn't it seem like he was specifically waiting until nobody was there to do that?

I want a fic that just explores Foggy singing - maybe he sometimes can't help himself from singing along to stuff, but Matt always told him he had a voice like a dying cat and so he stopped until nobody was around. Maybe he secretly does community theatre (even though he can't sing - he always gets cast in the chorus or in a speaking-only part) and what Karen heard was him working on his audition. Or maybe he's just a giant musical theatre nerd and there's a fic there.

I just, for some bizarre reason, want a fic that explores that moment.

I liked his singing voice and I thought he was rehearsing for a musical or something when I first saw that scene.

I am cackling. XD Thank you, anon! The mental image of Foggy falling off the desk and then just staying on the floor is the best. "Mike" settling in to listen to the disaster unfolding makes me picture him as one those popcorn.gifs.

XD Thank you! I think Foggy found it better to stay on the floor so he wouldn't fall down again from whatever other revelations may be coming.

I want... *dun dun dun* Foggy to meet Stick.

I'm thinking a few times this has happened. The first time was in college, maybe Stick cornered Foggy when he was coming back from the library late at night or something, dragged him into an alley, and told him to 'stay away from Matt Murdock, he can't have friends'. Then, to make his point clearer, he beats the shit out of Foggy and/or rapes him. Foggy, because he's Foggy, doesn't stop being friends with Matt, and he doesn't tell Matt he met Stick. This happens a few other times over the course of their friendship, college, Lanham and Zach, Nelson and Murdock. Stick cornering Foggy and telling him to stop being friends with Matt, to get away from him, and Foggy refusing, getting beat up and/or raped. Hell, maybe it's a 5 and 1 fic, but I want, at the end, after this has happened a few times, Matt to find out. And not just find out, but walk in on Stick beating up and/or raping Foggy in an effort to convince him to stop being friends with Matt.
We all know about how well - for Stick - that's going to go.

Matt and Foggy both adjusted their lives to each other. Foggy became acquainted with Braille and stopped using a great deal of scented products.

Matt did as well.

For instance he is no longer allowed to own the same model phone as Foggy because he will think it's broken and throw it across the room in a rage. I

YES. Very nice spin on the Foggy-adjustments prompts!

You know how there would always be these odd episodes where the crew of whatever ship would end up back in time and have whacky adventures with all the old technology and stuff?

I want that.

Or like, somehow Matt and Foggy end up getting teleported to the future with one of the crew members by accident and it's overall pretty crey. (Maybe Foggy & Matt are from an alternate earth where mutants are known, so they aren't weirded out by the more alien crew members as everyone thinks they should be? Oh, also, there was the whole chitauri thing, I guess).

Matt tries to make the world a better place with his fists.
Foggy does the same with his wits.

He's basically the master of giving people impromptu pep talks. And does it ALL. THE. TIME.

Whether it's Matt, Karen, a client or some random mugger who just seems really desperate and nervous, so better to talk them out of this before Daredevil shows up and breaks his wrist, Foggy WILL try his best to cheer up everyone around him and put them back on track.

Could be like a 5+1 thing - 5 times Foggy gave someone a pep talk and 1 time someone did it for him?
Or anything else really.

I'm partial to Matt/Foggy if you want to go there, but gen or any pairings are totally fine.

I don't know if this is the kind of thing you want, but I've been thinking about Matt/Captain Kirk. Matt is just the kind of mysterious, emotionally unstable beauty Jim would try to woo.

Aw, this reminds me of on ATLA, when Uncle Iroh gave a random mugger a pep talk and a little martial arts lesson.

Foggy could totally grow up to be Uncle Iroh.
