JUST LAST NIGHT I was re-watching Nelson v. Murdock (because I love pain, that's why) and Matt going on about how there are people the law can't help reminded me so much of Leverage!

I just want you to know that after part 4 I actually had to get up and walk around for a little bit because it was too cute oh god help me, and at the end I maybe screamed silently in glee for about five minutes.

I can't blame Foggy for just wanting to get to Jeff and Meg, I would too if Matt would not stop bragging and antagonizing the worst that high school had to offer.

Your dialogue is spot on. I -love- how Foggy knows the mild smile means trouble.

I need this so badly. If I had any amount of spare time I would fill it.

Matt and Foggy are very ... tactile around each other, but usually not in public (unless they're drunk). People who know them are constantly surprised by just how cuddly they can be when they feel at ease.

Maybe Karen is invited over to one of their movie nights and finds Matt curled up on the couch with his head in Foggy's lap. Maybe Brett runs into them at Josie's and Foggy is leaning against Matt's chest while Matt just casually plays with Foggy's hair. Maybe someone is assigned a group project with them back at Columbia and didn't expect that for Matt and Foggy, "studying together" translates to "studying while spooning (and occasionally telling each other terrible jokes)".

The Devil stalked Hell’s Kitchen along its dark paths. He creeped along the roof of an old warehouse. His footsteps are silent and he can hear the hum of the few lights in the building, in a corner a burnt out candle smolders. In minutes he changes the game.

He can hear the murmurs of the criminals as clear as if they were next to him. He tunes out their conversation for a moment and focuses on the hum of electricity centered at the fuse box. He hears it calling to him like a muted Gregorian chant. In an instant the power ceased flowing into the warehouse and the rooms were swept in darkness.

In an instant he's in through the roof. A club strikes one of the men, knocking him back away from the hostage. Daredevil feels the body heat of the room's occupants. They call to him like beacons in the ever present dark. The hostage is cooler and her heart is fluttering like a humming bird's wings. She is a woman who was important to their aims, he doesn't know why.

“It’s the Daredevil! Get ready!” One of the men yelled. He heard one of the men scream. Matt threw himself, reading himself for guns and knives. He prepared to strike-He did not expect t be doused doused as the unexpected hum of back up lights came to life in the moment. (How had he missed those?.

He jerked back in surprised as the cold liquid (water, his mind supplied) hit his face and entered his mouth. He began to spit in an instance as he shifted his stance.

“Be gone, DEMON! In the name of Jesus!” What? Demon?

“Hit him again! Hurry! Go! Run!” This time a bottle hit him, breaking and splashing him with more water. He flailed back, from the damage, ready to take down the first crony to approach him. The body heat and hearts beats around him resonated at him and *left*. He felt stunned as the criminals ran out of the room, leaving him, alone and wet, with the hostage.

“What the fuck?” He thought wondering why they threw water of all things at him. He turned toward the hostage. The woman screamed as he got closer to her and undid her bonds.

“DEVIL!” She screamed, hysterical and began getting away from him. Okay….wait was she flashing the cross at him? He couldn’t make out the exact gesture in her flurry of heat signatures her arms sent out. What was going on?

“Ma’am, you’re safe.”

“DEMON! BE GONE! I AM INNOCENT!”

All right. She apparently didn’t need him. He disappeared in a display of athleticism that would leave Foggy breathless from sympathy fitness envy. Daredevil, Matt, grumbled on the roof and checked his burner phone. It seemed okay and beeped when he pressed a button, this was really something he needed eyes for.

A piece of glass was caught in one of the folds of the suit. He shook it off. He didn’t see the fragment of the cross printed on the section of the bottle. He made his way to the next crime, readying himself for battle once again.

It's like you can see Matt deciding he's going to cut every single one of them into tiny pieces

Foggy was fine, worried, but understanding. After their fight her forgives Matt, but Matt doesn't forgive himself.

Basically I want some not straightforward self harm on Matt's part.

Like maybe he makes his wounds worse by pushing on them or subconsciously hitting them against something again and again, or he purposely puts himself in extra dangerous positions, eats less, doesn't sleep, etc.

I am just reading the second book in a row that has some...interesting ways to describe sex, sexual organs and related matters. Somehow instead of reaching for brain bleach I went 'Yes. I need fanfiction related to that.' No I don't know why.
The exact details don't matter:
- in line with the fun with in-universe RPF we had everybody entertains Matt by reading the worst lines of Matt/Daredevil fic to him/Karen entertains Matt & Foggy by reading them fics about them
- Karen's dark secret is in fact that she used to write a series about people fucking alien-possessed household appliances
- The avocados are slightly tipsy/very drunk and dive into the depths of hell that Kindle Direct Publishing has to offer?
- Anything really

Personal headcannon is that Foggy regularly cycles his ringtone for Matt through every devil song he can think of. It's currently 'Better the devil you know' but his personal favourite was 'You're the devil in disguise'.
