A part of me really wants to read 616 verse so I can write this.

Thanks! I actually got the dealer idea from a tweet of Neil Gaiman's I vaguely remember - about meeting his dealer for Sherlock or something. Foggy's dealer totally helps locate and distribute copies of films that have audio description and subtitles etc.

...That taste is one he shares with the author anon. I like Cars - mostly the ending - though it's not my favourite Pixar. But it's really hard to pick a Pixar film that doesn't have a child; or father/son, father/kid or family relationship at its core. Cars was close to the only option (and certainly the option I was most familiar with).

I like this idea. In general I would like more fic set at Josie's. Josie seems awesome.

We've seen a fair number of awesome Matt/Frank prompts lately, but you know what I haven't seen yet? A soulmate AU prompt.

Give me all the cliches. People born with their soulmate's name or their first words to each other marked on their skin. Or people seeing in color only when they meet the one. Take your pick, or make up something new.

Give me Frank knowing all along that Matt is his other half (and feeling guilty because he wants him, but he's not Maria, and he still clings to her memory) and Matt being oblivious because he doesn't know/remember what his mark says after so long/doesn't even realize he has a mark because they're not that common and they show up later in life/he cannot see at all, so the seeing-in-color thing would be lost on him.

How would this affect their dynamics? I can see Frank pushing Matt away and being cold and distant because he doesn't want to grow close, even though it hurts to do so. Having someone that important in his life would only interfere with his job, and if anything happened to Matt... he can't go through something like that again.

It would explain why Matt feels so drawn to Frank, why it's so important to him to make him change and stop killing, and why he accepts him even though Frank refuses to stop. Poor avocado would not understand why he wants Frank so bad and why it hurts so much when Frank pushes him away.

Bonus points for a happy ending.

Extra bonus points for Foggy finding the mark one night as he's patching Matt up and feeling a bit dejected that his best friend never bothered to tell him about it.

M: 'Mark? What mark?'
F: 'A soulmark'
M: 'Are you kidding me? Where?'
F: 'Right here'
M: 'What does it say?'
F: 'It says Francis Castiglione... any idea who that might be?'

He is the creature that walks between stars, who eats planets whole, and if you dared look upon his true form, you would tear your own eyes out just to escape but the image is burned into your brain, causing you to go insane.

Your reason why he chooses to be human and Matt's best friend.

My headcanon of Foggy based on how he acts in Nelson v. Murdock is that he is extremely non-confrontational (hence the drinking while Matt's unconscious to steel himself to say the stuff he needs to and deal with confronting him).

So to me, I can totally see Matt never wanting it to happen, because I can see Foggy basically just either refusing to admit anything's wrong or talking about it and distancing himself politely, or him completely pulling away and wanting nothing to do with the person. I have a friend like that - if they're mad at you, you'll almost never know until they're blowing you off more than usual and you can't figure out why and they don't assert themselves or their own feelings well, and it's expressed through booze big-time.

So yeah... I may actually have to write this. :S

Oh yes please. I have this headcanon of him being the quiet fury type in certain situations. So basically your first option but while being completely calm, collected and never raising his voice.

We've had a lot of prompts/crossovers dealing with Matt encountering himself (or his close friend/allies/confidants) from the other universe, but what about MCU's incredibly green Matt dealing with Bullseye's seasoned obsession for the first time? How hideous/terrifying would that be for him? How would MCU!Matt handle stepping into a room with 616!Fisk, who is not just big like MCU!Fisk, but is comically huge (see what I did there) instead, and infinitely more sinister and obsessive than MCU's "a child and a monster" take?

Or maybe Superior Iron Man (https://daredevilkink.dreamwidth.org/1296.html?thread=2546192#cmt2546192) (I just really really want someone to fill that prompt omg) decides that since he can't tempt righteous, experienced, jaded 616!Daredevil to the dark side, he'll go after a younger Matt who has no history with him and is probably less likely to protest on principal?

Basically, 616!Daredevil has some seriously fucked up villains and seriously fucked up relationships with them, how would MCU!Matt deal?

Idk if I'd call him non-confrontational considering how he absolutely verbally rips into Marci when she annoys him by talking down to him/Karen and belittling Mrs. Cardenas at L&Z, and how he goes straight for the jugular and literally hollers at Matt a couple times even though he's is lying half-dead on his couch and crying more than fighting back. I don't think he confronts people often and he clearly likes to take it easy/laugh things off instead of start arguments, but he's definitely not the sort to stew quietly and let people think he's fine with something particularly heinous they've said/done when he's not.

Just give me Matt and Foggy acting ridiculously childish and throwing in-jokes at each other that Karen despairs and goes 'just for the record: I don't know either of you. I have never met you in all my life' before breaking down laughing.

What if the one time he failed, it was Foggy?

In college, he used to forget his textbooks sometimes, and when he asked Matt if he could borrow his, Matt used to say "Foggy, it's in braille... You won't be able to read it." and Foggy could never be bothered with trying to explain to Matt that he actually knows braille so used to wait until Matt went out to borrow them.

Yessssss. I don't know why in 9/10 cases dumb misunderstandings in movies or books make me go 'no. Stop.' But in fanfic I'm usually 'yes please'
