  • Prompts
    1. All types of prompts are welcome.

    2. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing or characters, keywords, kink).

Matchmaking baby vigilantes!

"Matt, you should date Foggy."

"*sips tea* Date Foggy, huh?"

"Yeah! He's cute and he's so nice and smart and he's already your best friend, and he knkws everything about you and he hasn't run away yet! You should totally date him!"

"But what if I don't want to date him, Kamala. Even if it wasn't dangerous--"

"Duh, Matt? You totally want to date him. If you could see your own face when you listen to him you would realize what a Gigantic Liar, Liar Pants on Fire that you are. Whenever he says something to you, your face gets all soft and squishy looking. It's actually kind of gross."

"...soft and squishy, huh?"

Matt finally runs them out of the apartment for what he insists is not a date (it totally is) and at three AM Spidey, Kamala, Wiccan and Miss America to see if they're having sex and they just see...Matt and Foggy passed out on the couch together. Eventually they find out Matt fell asleep thirty minutes in because he's so exhausted from lawyering, Daredeviling, and being a de facto single parent to a bunch of supers.

("Oh my god his face does that squishy thing when he's asleep too!"

"Holy shit he fell straight asleep. Is Foggy a mutant. Does he have Matt-oriented super powers.")

oh my god, baby vigilantes matchmaking for Matt and Foggy because of course they would, whenever Foggy comes over Matt gets significantly less grumpy (still slightly grumpy but Foggy's entrance is like, watching sunshine dawn on Matt's face

Kamala ships it a lot, Peter keeps making veiled references to Foggy's ironic nickname, someone actually sits Foggy down like "look. we love you. Matt loves you. if you hurt him tho we will fuck you up k?")

Foggy is just like "ummm excuse me I'm the founding president of the Matt Murdock Love Club, you don't need to tell ME twice" and from then on he has an Understanding with the baby vigilantes. A bizarre courtship begins between Matt and Foggy that culminates with them kissing in the middle of splitting a reuben. Yells of GO TEAM and lots of high fives are heard in the background. They are ignored. Matt contemplates grounding his kids and instead doesn't make them eat salad with their evening meal.

What I like best about this prompt is how it forces Matt to interact with other human beings in a healthy way, leading him to become a more well-adjusted person, because now he has to be a role model and shit, he can't lone wolf it anymore because what if the Young Avengers and other adolescent supers try to lone wolf it too?

He can't do that. Not if he wants to keep the practice, and Daredevil, and the kids, and Foggy and...

this kind of broke me, ow. bc at first he would try to lone-wolf it, but then the kids would either a.) get in trouble trying to stop him or b.) get in trouble bc they think it's the best way to vigilante, and that's when Matt realizes, shit he is now responsible for a bunch of kids and he needs to be a good role model to them which means accepting help

which is going to be. easier said then done.

(THAT BEING SAID he totally. mother-hens the younger ones kind of awkwardly. poking around about their schoolwork and their grades and like, why are they doing this vigilante thing, do they need any help.)
