OP: Definitely the former. Vanessa loves watching Matt hurt, and loves watching Fisk inflict that pain even more.

Oooh, okay. I am trash and definitely have a type and that is totally my type, but I'm not sure how confident I am about writing dialogue. ^^;

^^; It's not quite as violently shock-and-awe as I was first thinking it was going to be.

I've already written something like that and I don't want to repeat myself (http://archiveofourown.org/works/4101651). But nor is it a Matt-secretly-gets-off-on-being-raped fic, which I've also done (hahah I'm terrible: http://archiveofourown.org/works/4235655).

Kind of a mash-up of the two? I dunno. Vanessa is taking a more active role, which I wasn't planning on but Matt's pain inspires her, I guess. I'mma just be trash and continue to write my trash thing and hope you all 'enjoy' the end product, haha ;-)

She'd probably go all art nerd on him, too. Maybe have Fisk pose him like classic paintings of martyrs and casually talk about art history as Matt tries not to scream

Oh good GODS.

Does she pose him like Saint Sebastian and torture him with those implications? Like, Matt should know how most of the saints were martyred, so he's expecting all kinds of horrific torture to start any time now. And Vanessa just keeps going. ~~Taking photos for later.~~

She ties him down to a heavy grate, and his mind of course goes to St. Lawrence. He wants to be as collected and snarky as the saint, but she says tell me more about this 'world on fire', Matthew and he just starts screaming.

(Lawrence is the one who was grilled alive, but who mocked his executioners with the taunt "turn me over, I'm done on this side." He's the patron saint of cooks because of course.)

I just ... that is so fucked up. And yet I want it.
Like, her just taunting him with threats of grisly saint-torture, to terrify him out of his mind. Why do I want that.

And yet sounding so sweet and reassuring the entire time. Calling him Matthew and sweetheart and dear boy. Vanessa would be a+ at terrifying.
