Matt is adopted by Foggy's biological mother for social reasons. She's glad Matt isn't stupid and basically sends him off to tutors and prestigious schools. She is very pleased when he goes to law school. She keeps very little tabs on him. As long as he does well she's fine.

Then she learns her 'son' befriend her biological son and has made besties with him. She tries to stop it but Matt is very much not giving up Foggy. Especially after he learns that he let Foggy go.

Should that last sentence read "after he learns that she let Foggy go," or is there another friendship-split that I'm forgetting about?

Have you any specific ideas about when Matt or Foggy would find out/if they would tell the other straight away?

OP here. Not really. I have vague scenarios but nothing concrete. The only concrete image I have is of Sharpe threatening to stop paying law school if Matt doesn't seeing Foggy. Only to be responded to with 'something like 'You paid for college and first year. I have no debt. Loans."

I am just randomly throwing out my thoughts here but I think Foggy would find out first and be not sure how to deal with that because well weird. Matt would just be confused because Foggy has something but won't tell.

I am now also thinking about the timeline and how it would change if the adoption was pre-Stick vs. afterwards and how Rosalind might not care much about Matt but about the social implications of a constantly bruised child.
