Yup but earlier I'd described Matt as wearing an old hoodie so it had to happen.

Well to be fair, those two come with a warning . They have a reputation for their shit and well Steve is Captain America and can be forgiven anything. Matt and Foggy looked normal (and aren't Steve). Until they weren't.

I love Foggy waiting an extra thirty seconds after Natasha is out of normal human hearing (and also that he uses Matt as his gauge of her distance). I'm glad they managed to clear at least some of the air between them -- about the vigilante work and so on -- though oh my god, they are SO OBVIOUSLY pining for each other and I can't wait for them to realize that. :D

Marci&Foggy interaction is like my favorite to write I'm always surprised by how little I see sometimes. *shrugs* I think over the years that Hell has become more and more bureaucratic (keeping up with the times I think) and it just *fit* to write it like such, especially with Matt as the Head Honcho.

Still, I'm SO GLAD you like this fill because as I read the discussion of the prompt as I got further and further down the page I was just got too excited to contain myself.

(A!Anon) (ohmigosh are you the Requiem Æternam anon?!) There are so many possibilities with this prompt that writing up some of the ways that deals work themselves out was too fascinating to pass up!

YUP, that is me. xD I love this prompt, so of course I'm reading your fic, haha. The parallels we make amuse me (Matt not telling Foggy he's Satan, Matt pointing out he's a literal demon like HELLO), but it's a lot of fun to read where we diverge. :3 (Marciiii!)

OP said it was what they wanted so I'd say M E G A - A N G S T is pretty spot on. :) There is magic in the MCU but Marvel has already said they're limiting Doctor Strange's magicks. And even in the comics I've seen the good doctor drop the ball on things you'd think were easily treatable. Like when Tony rescued Matt from Doctor Doom (he'd infected Matt with nanobots and then abducted him right in front of his friends) and he got Hank Pym and Doctor Strange both trying to save Matt in the aftermath, and they were failing. Three of the most amazingly capable minds of all time and nope, they were FAILING. I mean, Tony was yelling at Doctor Strange to DO SOMETHING and DS was all WHAT DO. So no, sometimes not even Doctor Strange can come through with a win when it's needed.

This was such a satisfying chapter. I'm glad they sorted some of their issues out.

He could feel the cold stone and dirt beneath his back, but he could also feel heat rocking beneath them. He could feel the flutter of Matt’s suit jacket, not because it touched his skin, but because the air bounced back at him in small, swaying arches.

same anon here, to say: THIS. I missed this first go-around, but the way you link what Foggy's feeling to what Matt feels, canonically, with his crazy senses, here? OH MY GOD, author!anon, what a fucking clever idea, what a fantastic way to subtly show us how intimate this act is? um. i have SO MANY FEELINGS about this. :D
