I understand why Karen and Foggy are pissed with Matt. I get why the firm went under. It's understandable that Matt's reputation as a lawyer is in ruins. And Fisk regaining power is just logical.

But can we give the poor guy a break?

Elektra is dead. All his bridges are burned. He's probably in danger of being homeless now. Just, please, give the man something. He saved the city (again); let him have some amount of happiness to show for it.

Matt/Karen, Daredevil's rage/violence turns her on

After Matt's confession, Karen goes back and looks at all the photos & footage of Daredevil she can find, and is disturbed to discover that watching him beat people up gets her all hot and bothered, especially if she knows what they did or he makes his rage at them obvious. It leaves her feeling guilty and even more unsure than ever of what to do about Matt.
Then one night she gets attacked and pulled into an alleyway by minions of Fisk or someone else she pissed off, but Matt happened to be tracking her or them that night, and he swoops down and beats them up right in front of her...

+If he hadn't been so consumed by rage, Matt might have tried to keep Karen from seeing him do this, and he has a moment where he thinks he should apologize, before he smells her reaction...
++Karen manages to land some blows herself, and her righteous rage/violence turns *him* on
+++It ends in wild and desperate kissing/groping/sex in the alleyway

Prompt: Slightly cracky AU, Foggy gets saved by a weird vigilante who pats him down to check for injuries and then just keeps showing up and *touching* him.

Matt is touch-starved and hyper-disciplined, but once he finds out how *nice* Foggy feels he just can't help himself.

Give me lots of handsy!Matt being baffled by his own strange compulsion to put his hands all over Foggy's arms and hips and middle, and Foggy being equally baffled and getting lots of awkward boners, maybe? ;)

On those nights when Matt is wound tight but can't get the physical action he desires (or worse, there's absolutely nothing intense going on in Hell's Kitchen) Matt gets frustrated, and ends up developing a self harm habit. One day, Foggy notices (or walks in on it... a Matt and Foggy version of Secretary??)and he is, of course, not happy.

I would specifically like Matt cutting, realizing that it's a release for him, enjoying it almost like an orgasm, but it's up to you! Could be either gen or slash.

Wilson Fisk is the Kingpin and Daredevil is his assassin/bodyguard. Frank Castle is the guy Fisk calls in when he wants to make a bloody statement against whatever group has crossed him. Foggy was the public defender that got Fisk acquitted the first time around and now Fisk will never let him go.

Sometimes, when Matt or Frank do a particularly good job, he lends them his pet lawyer. After all, the guy’s got a mouth on him, might as well put it to good use outside the courtroom.

Matt never gained his abilities by shoving that old man out of the way.

Instead, he was snatched away from Jack at a young age by some shadowy organization (HYDRA? The Hand? The Chaste? Fisk? Filler's call) and used as a test subject to create *filler's call*. Whatever happens to young Matt causes him to lose his sight, but gives him his enhanced senses.

His handlers train him to fight, to kill, and push his limits, all the while trying to repeat the results on others, but they never do. With Matt as their only 'success', they don't want to send him out into the field for whatever shadowy deeds this shadowy organization wants done, so Matt grows up in complete isolation, eventually forgetting Jack and even his own name.

And then, one day, Subject DD 19-64 runs away.

While on the run, Matt ends up saving somebody (oh, hell, we all know its Foggy) from *whatever* and ends up being taken home by Foggy, or follows Foggy home. Either way, Foggy (law-student or lawyer) isn't turning away this strange guy who looks like a helpless lost duckling, but who can somehow fight like a pissed off goose.

Go from there...

For some reason the original prompt didn't paste like it was supposed to. Trying again.

With Hell's Kitchen having a long history of being a mixed-bag community in NYC, the most diverse city on Earth, it really isn't implausible. Let's say Jack is still white, but what about his mother, Maggie/Grace/whatever name it is?

The most likely candidates for a non-white racial background in 1980s HK would be latinx (Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, or Mexican), and the beginnings of gentrification led to increasingly diverse waves of people moving in from Chelsea and Harlem—African American (mostly latinx and/or Caribbean), East Asian (Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese), South Asian (Indian, Pakistani, Bhutanese), Pacific Islander (Filipino), etc.

How does this affect Matt growing up? Is he “white-passing” or is he “visibly other”? How has it shaped his life experiences? Did his mother have conflict with his father over their different backgrounds that led to the split? Has he faced rejection from within his mother’s community due to being raised by his white father? How did the nuns take it? What racial prejudices and stereotypes has he had to contend with in his day to day life? Did it make him appear as a bigger token/diversity case (for scholarship+work opportunities)? Has his racial background exposed him more or less to the dark side of police brutality and the legal system? Is Daredevil more of a target?

Anything goes. My sad biracial ass doesn't have time to write this myself, so I leave it to y’all to take this idea and run with it.

Matt/Foggy, jealousy/Matt's senses lead him astray

Post S2, Matt and Foggy aren't friends but they keep running into each other. As Daredevil, in their day jobs, mutual interests on a case, whatever. Foggy loves "accidentally" running into Matt and starts wearing nice cologne, changing his schedule to match Matt's, making sure he he always has an extra order of Matt's favourite in the takeout he's bringing home. He's even reading self-help books on how to support a friend despite said friend's dumbass life choices. He's asking questions! staying calm! It's going great!

On Matt's end, he's notices that Foggy smells nice and has been staying out late and is shopping for more than one person? Clearly he must be dating someone? He doesn't even seem to care anymore when Matt puts himself in danger?

Foggy is pretty sure they've been flirting but Matt won't make a move and it's driving him crazy.

Bonus if Matt's overwhelming jealous fury kicks off a brand-new spate of dumbass decisions.
