Re: the running joke about Matt's cane tossing (which I love tbh), how many times does he actually do it in the show? I know there's one time in ep4 when going to save Claire and then in ep12 when chasing the car but any others?
not really related but also a question about how trends in fandom form;
Where did everyone develop this headcanon that Matt is against taking the lords name in vain when he does it in episode 1 (in front of a priest even). like im genuinely curious
I don't know about anyone else, but occasionally I'm like, "hey, there was a prompt for ____, I'm thinking of filling it but I can't find it!" Flipping through page after page of prompts is really hard. So my question is, is there either a way to search the prompts, or is there like, a spreadsheet of unfilled prompts somewhere?
Is daredevil anyone else's first foray into mcu fandom? Like, I like marvel films in general and avengers is great but I've never been fandom-level-interested in this kind of thing....
I now know why it isn't catching on. There seems to be a technical issue with Mibbit for people using Chrome. I will investigate when I have the time and get back to you all. Meanwhile - it works fine in Firefox and IE.
It is an apartment, I think, but it's REALLY BIG and really mostly empty, so it's weird, and also he never seems to actually go upstairs??? I think there's a door up there, it's how Foggy gets in during episode nine.
But Matt, unhelpful as he is, keeps climbing in and out of the goddamn window.
Also that apartment's huge but it's not particularly nice and it's also not in a particularly nice building. I don't know if this is because of lack of decoration or what, but it's not possible that it cost A LOT (and Matt does say he got "a corner apartment at a hell of a discount" due to the inexplicable tv ad screen thing which is placed in literally the worst place it could be) because Matt just doesn't have that much money.
Probably the most confusing part of the show is that apartment, tbh.
Actually yeah, it probably is. I mean, I saw Iron Man when it came out and Avengers, but this is the first property that's made me write insane amounts of fanfiction.
Yeah I mean I loved iron man and Thor a lot, like I've always been into superhero films (at least since those first Spider-Man films hehe my heart <3) so I guess I've always been a fan but I've never actually interacted with the fandom before. It just didn't appeal to me at that particular level :')
Ahaha good, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Cos I'm still not tHAT interested in mcu as a whole and like I probably wouldn't include other characters outside of daredevil in my fics...but I absolutely cannot stop writing for daredevil, it's ridiculous.
Ah thank you, that's actually super helpful. At some point I need one of the characters to do a convenient walk around so I can get a good look :') I actually do really like it though haha like even though there's nothing there and it's p ugly - idk smth about it appeals to me
I think, given it's converted from part of an old warehouse, that his front door is actually up high, then the stairs come down around into the living room/kitchen area (super high ceilings), and the bedroom is off that.
What's ridiculous is that I don't even like the show that much (I think a lot of it is super problematic in the way that the MCU tends to be), but something about it has plugged into a long-disused port in my brain.
It's probably related to all the pretty boy pain/crying.
