What I usually do is at first upload the files to mediafire and then just make a post on ao3 that links to those files. Then I get my stuff put on the podfic archive (http://www.audiofic.jinjurly.com) by either making a post on amplificathon (if you google it they have a dreamwidth and a livejournal and they'll upload your stuff to the archive) or you can just fill out this form - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1giVNR4-vM_EfulsVSZVcuPPdvK1VTc-WFi7iWRQOKCc/viewform
Once my stuffs on the archive I link back to there instead of mediafire on my ao3 (although if the podfics short enough you can also stream from mediafire so sometimes I leave that as an option). The archive is just generally a better way to store stuff imo - it tells you how many hits you're getting, keeps everything in one place, and links to the original fic as well as your podfic.
I don't know whether mediafire is the best option to go for but I works for me (I've also used Dropbox, though). Also, ao3 has a page here about embedding podfic so people can stream it - http://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/250
But I've personally never been able to get that to work for me :') hope this is in some way helpful but I'm sure lots of people have other/better ways of doing things haha
I know it might be too soon or whatever but, with all the creativity we have here, i can't stop myself thinking how awesome would it be to have a dd big bang
I was thinking that too (though I'd settle for more fics being written in general, lol). I'm really looking forward to that week-long fills fest coming up.
I've never had to comment anonymously on dreamwidth before and I just want to say - the captchas here make you think way too hard. who would have thought that a kink meme could involve so much maths?
me too. tbh I' Waiting that to read all the prompts without any kind of pressure xD up to now I'm just skimming until one catches my curiosity though having a bb would also mean MORE fanart
I've been reading comics since I learned to read, but they were mostly like, Garfield, Calvin & Hobbes, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, eventually manga, that sort of thing. Grew up watching anything Superman I could find and the animated Batman cartoons, but only got into superhero comics and Marvel (mostly Captain America) after Avengers. Still haven't read any DD other than excerpts online, but I definitely plan to!
Oh noooo that sucks. It's the ones that spell out the numbers and ask you to write them as numbers that get me. I'm just sitting here like 'pls no I'm not a robot let me just tell this anon I think their fic is hot ;____;'
The above comment about captcha got me thinking - when a post reaches 5000 comments, captcha becomes mandatory for every comment. At the moment that's the point where I close the prompt post and open a new one, but how would people feel about prompt posts being closed at 4000 or 4500 comments?
(and I should mention, we're going to have a week long prompt freeze once the current post closes. It'll start today if everyone wants it to close at 4000!)
From my knowledge of the legal field - not personal but through a family member - I believe their "internship" as such is a made-up thing. Matt and Foggy appear to be at the point as working as summer associates (like an internship, but not called that). The firm then hires its favorite summer associates to be full associates, and they eventually work their way up to partner from there. Wooing summer associates is a very real thing, and who knows how extravagant that could get for a big New York firm.
Which doesn't actually answer your question, but my point is that I don't think the show is particularly invested in portraying anything akin to accurate law school/young associate experiences, so your standards of realism aren't too high to start with.
Possible reasons for flying? -attending a meeting/conference (shadowing a partner at said meeting? I find it hard to believe the firm would ship them off on their own) -visiting one of the firm's offices in another city, if they have multiple locations -meeting a major out-of-state client
Internships in the legal field don't exist in real life, but Wesley does say that Matt and Foggy "interned" at L&Z, and then in the ep 10 flashback, Foggy refers to himself and Matt as interns.
So I guess legal interns do exist in their universe, kind of like how Matt grew up in an "orphanage," which isn't really a thing that exists in the modern day US.
