WIP vs Complete Fills

(Anonymous) 2015-06-09 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Please tell me I'm not the only one who dislikes how the fills have been broken up into separate posts for Fills and WIPs? We were so on top of posting our fills before the divide. Now it's just annoying.

I mean, pretty much everyone cross-posts their fics to Ao3 anyway, which is really easy to bookmark in case you want keep track of a fic (and a lot of authors don't continue to post on the meme after the first chapter anyway if they've also got it on Ao3).

Was it really that difficult to go through the Fills post and find that fic you like and then follow the link to see if it had been updated? :-/

yeah I've gotta agree it's not my fave way of organising fills. It's not horrible but.. I did prefer having one post

(and as for keeping on top of updating fills i just have my own bookmarks folder for that)

I disagree with you on the "we were so on top of posting our fills" bit because I keep combing through the earlier prompt posts and have found plenty of fills not on the fill post or the WIP post. And not everyone posts on AO3. I like having the organization because then I know what fills are completed and what fills are meant to have continuations.

Yeah, there are lots of fics that aren't getting "filed" properly, whether in the complete of WIP post. I try to help out and post fills when I come across them.

I quite like having the separate posts. I get that it's easy enough to look through the fills post but i still feel like WIPs can get a bit lost/they will start to when there are more fills.

as someone who doesn't like reading works in progress (I'm so impatient lol the suspense kills me) I love having them be separate posts...
