My opinion of Frank, though generally pretty negative, is as complicated as he is. But SO MUCH THIS. There's no cause to talk to people like that here, no evidence that anyone isn't calm, and no reason they should have to be. It's not like anyone is bashing Frank's fans.

If there are a lot of people into it then I think you guys should really start your own all-Defenders kink meme. It's not like there's a limit on how many kink memes are allowed to exist at once.

HI ANON I NOTICED IT TOO, it's one of those braided leather bracelets i think? i can't remember if it's something elden wears irl but yeah that's a bracelet.
My concern is that they won't be able to get off of the ground without Daredevil.

nayrt but I really don't think that's going to be a problem. Most of fandom didn't know who daredevil was before Netflix but they've eaten him alive. Jessica Jones looks like they're going to capitalize on what made DD so good and maybe improve on it. What is it about the other defenders that makes you think they won't have a successful fan base?

He's wearing it in every scene. He's even wearing it in the various pictures people have taken with him on set for season 2 when he's in costume. Foggy's costume clearly includes:
- gold watch
- leather bracelet
- silly but not too silly tie (if wearing tie)
- gold tie clip with "F" on it

Sorry not trying to be rude. Just figured you maybe hadn't been here for very long and didn't know how the meme was set up? Like I said it's not technically against the rules or anything on the discussion board but staying anon is just kind of something most everyone does.
They just don't seem like fandom's usual 'type' to get a lot of attention. But I would love for fandom to prove me wrong so *shrug*

From the first post I know what you mean, but the show hasn't even been released yet. Have some faith in your fandoms! It seems like people are already getting excited, which is a good sign. And remember AOS and Agent Carter both have pretty strong fandom niches, so I don't see why diversity would be a reason for the Defenders to not as well. :)

OP: Maybe?? Or Foggy's family at some point though why idk. I'd love to find a scene with a good look at it... if only so I can really figure out the design of it.
OP. Oh wow. I am so oblivious, I never noticed! I only really noticed this time because I registered the thing on the wrist and thought it was his watch until I figured out he was wearing it on his right wrist (I'm...not so great with left and right sometimes) and got curious.
Warren Ellis wrote an issue of Daredevil where he has Matt remembering doing this exact thing. Mostly so he can write about Matt using British gang techniques.
Irish-American family has relatives in the UK? Its not unheard of.

Another reason to consider this proposal just has to do with the realities of how much crossover fic there will be.
There's a reason that, despite the huge popularity of Thor, Iron Man and Cap individually, fandom chose to go with Avengerkink and they don't each really have their own kink memes. It's because if they didn't do that, fans of each would miss out on amazing crossover stories constantly. Nobody wants to have to duplicate a fantastic Stony fic or Frostiron fic in a half-dozen different memes so that everyone who might like it sees it. You only have to look at AO3 tags and see how many Stony fics that Tony is in are only labelled as "Captain America" or the other way around to realize the value in keeping them all in one place. Same thing goes for great crossover prompts that people want filled. You want as many eyeballs on them as possible so that the right person fills them, regardless of which fandom they're in.
They've already said that Claire is appearing in all of the Defenders shows. And hinted that a major DD character may appear in Jessica Jones. Do you want to miss out on awesome DD-related stories or stories about Claire because you don't check the other three memes?
And what happens when Defenders comes out? That becomes a fourth meme then that everyone from here has to migrate over to, since Matt will be HUGE in that!
And yes, there's no cap on the number of kink memes that can exist. But there is a cap on the number of people who want to go to a half-dozen kink memes when they love this one, even if the other content is stuff they'd like. So I feel like you'd be spreading the fandom too thin and setting each kinkmeme (including this one) up to fail down the road.
I also know that I could go set up a Defenders meme tomorrow. But DD is a Defender! So what does that mean for Daredevil fans? Technically all of the fic here is Defenders fic already. If the DD fans don't go to a Defenders kink meme, it will either completely fail early on because people will be confused as hell, everyone will eventually abandon this kink meme because they think that the Defenders meme is where DD fic now goes (which I don't think anyone here wants) or it will completely fail and everyone will just keep posting Defenders fic here. Why make fans have to choose between two places for DD fic?
