I was rewatching Speak of the Devil - specifically the scene at the end where Foggy finds Matt half-dead - and I noticed what I thought was a watch on Foggy's right wrist.

Only he's already got a watch on his left wrist. So I was wondering if anyone else has spotted it and has any idea what it is? It looks to be made of leather (or something like it) from the few clear freeze frames of it I got but I'm clueless as to if it's appeared before and what it is.

Anyone else have ideas/noticed it too?

HI ANON I NOTICED IT TOO, it's one of those braided leather bracelets i think? i can't remember if it's something elden wears irl but yeah that's a bracelet.

Now to figure out a reason why Foggy would wear it. For ah, fic reasons. =)

ayrt: maybe matt liked the texture of it and gave it to foggy as like, a thing to remind him of matt??? that's the only thing i can imagine tbh

OP: Maybe?? Or Foggy's family at some point though why idk. I'd love to find a scene with a good look at it... if only so I can really figure out the design of it.

depending on what your fic is about maybe possibly matt gave it to foggy as a friendship-bracelet type deal. though maybe stick crumpling up the ice-cream bracelet put matt off the idea for life??

I love the idea that the bracelet is a gift from Matt, especially because one of the defining moments of his life was when Stick was a total asshole and refused his friendship bracelet as a kid. ;_;

He's wearing it in every scene. He's even wearing it in the various pictures people have taken with him on set for season 2 when he's in costume. Foggy's costume clearly includes:

- gold watch
- leather bracelet
- silly but not too silly tie (if wearing tie)
- gold tie clip with "F" on it

OP. Oh wow. I am so oblivious, I never noticed! I only really noticed this time because I registered the thing on the wrist and thought it was his watch until I figured out he was wearing it on his right wrist (I'm...not so great with left and right sometimes) and got curious.

Maybe it's the bronzed remains of his beautiful hair

It would be funny if Matt gave it as a present, then regretted it because of the smell (but couldn't explain why). Matt trying all sorts of schemes to replace or remove the Brocelet and Foggy just being like 'No Matt you gave it to me it's special I will never remove it'

OP. They really are. I need them so much.

I'm wondering if it isnt' some sort of comfort or fiddle object (like for stimming, skin picking or something. Or even just something to fiddle with as a habit.)

The things I got into the habit of wearing were usually specifically so I could fiddle with them (like twisting my earrings) so I wonder if it isnt' for something like that. Even if it's not made specifically for the purpose of fiddling (like those spinner rings).

I really want the bracelet to be a gift from Matt. PLEASE SHOW. THIS IS SUDDENLY REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME RIGHT NOW.
