Because the body horror fill has reminded me how much I love creepy fic. I want unspeakable horrors and slow-burn nightmares and something being terribly, terribly wrong.

throwing it out there in case it encourages anyone who wants to write this prompt (because everyone shouuuuld, what exactly is fisk planning to build when he renovates hell's kitchen?) I forget where exactly but way back in the beginning of the meme someone mentioned that there's a syndrome? blind people with NLP (like Matt) do in fact sometimes wind up with vivid visual hallucinations.

which. y'know. for someone like matt, who depends on his senses not only being right but more reliable than most information that other humans give him, would probably be very upsetting.

(aiiiiii this show is perfect for horror, we need more of it)

I was thinking he was going to build shadowland, which I hope doesn't happen, because I really didn't like that comic run. But that's just my guess.

okay so I did write a fill for this (3 pages in like half an hour... *cries*) but I'm not sure if it's very Lovecraftian? it's definitely weird and unsettling, but not quite horrorish. idk.
(also I'm struggling over a title, so I'll probably post it first thing in the morning)

OP is more than fine with weird and unsettling! 'Lovecraftian' was just the best shorthand I could think of for creeping horror-ish stuff, but I am so excited for anything :D

Oh, man, that was so good! I loved the hints of actual horror, but mostly I loved it as a character study of Matt Murdock, hopelessly messed up and doing the only thing he can to fight against everything his life is. Thank you so much!
