Wilson Fisk - Autism

So. I read a post on tumblr headcanoning that Fisk is on the autistic spectrum to some degree. As somebody on the autistic spectrum myself, I would LOVE to see fic exploring this in some way. What difficulties does Fisk have to overcome, because of his autism? What benefits does he reap because of it? How many people around him know/realize?

(I'm fine with any Fisk pairing, BTW, if that's the direction you want to go in! I'm also fine with him being pretty much anywhere on the spectrum. I have Asperger's, and see a bit of that in him, but if you want to go for anything else then feel free!)

I'm also autistic and I'd be really interested to see this as long as the fact that Fisk is a Grade A bad guy is also discussed and not really attributed to his being autistic. (I mean, autism informs everything, but it would be cool if it weren't The Number One Reason Why He Is Our Antagonist.)

I would love to see this get filled! Vincent D'onofrio (Fisk's actor) is autistic himself and apparently played that into Fisk. I don't feel like I have the skills to pull off this prompt but I definitely support it happening. c:

I've heard that about D'onofrio! Do you have a source for that? 'cos I'd really be interested to see more of him talking about it...

I'm the anon who found the video! c: I'm testing out an autistic Wilson Fisk in private RP right now - I'm not confident about a prompt like this because I'm allistic and don't want to fuck up, but I really really want to see this filled at some point and I may come back around if it doesn't get any attention. Autistic characters are super important.
