ETA2: we have a delicious account! it's only got the first ten pages of prompts at the moment, but mod is very slowly adding the rest. mod would greatly appreciate it if you put keywords in the subject of your prompts, because figuring out one-word summaries is hard. Matt/Foggy Soulmate AU... except not

What if, in a world where everyone has a soulmate, the universe doesn't always get it right?

Maybe Matt doesn't have a mark, or the person destined for him died before they even met. Maybe Foggy dated his soulmate in college and it was an incredibly toxic relationship even though Foggy was desperate to make it work because y'know destiny, or they met and nothing happened and they went their separate ways. Do people assume Matt and Foggy are soulmates? Is it actually considered taboo to settle down with someone who you aren't destined for? I don't mind, just anything where Matt and Foggy aren't actually meant to be together, according to the universe, but are anyway.

i have to admit i am DRIVEN by these kind of "we have a totally different sexual/romantic system in this society, and these two characters are breaking THOSE sexual mores" kinds of stories, yikes
