okay this is so amazing and my heart just broke into a hundred thousand pieces and I had to put my phone down to compose myself like twice and this is so well written and the characterizations are perfect and WOW this is great but ouch my heart

"What are you doing?"

The tone is neutral, but Foggy startles and slams his phone on his desk all the same. "What am I - what?"

Now Matt is giving him a Look. "What were you just doing?"

"Nothing!" It sounds so guilty, even to his ears. Behind Matt, Karen is trying and failing to hide a laugh behind her hand. "Ready for lunch?"

Matt has that evil grin on his face that says 'I am not going to let this go.' "Were you texting Marci again?"

Foggy considers his options for a moment before deciding this is the lesser of two evils. "Yeah, okay, you got me. Things are going good, okay?"

"You don't have to hide it!" Karen says. "We're happy for you!"

"Yeah, well, still getting used to it. Okay, let's go!" Foggy says in a rush, trying to herd them both out the door.

On their way to their favorite Thai place, he surreptitiously checks his phone.

He'd poured his heart out into the comment, but since he'd been trying to squeeze it in before they noticed, he realizes with a sinking sensation that he accidentally created a new thread instead.

He really hopes that the author of that new Steve Rogers/Tony Stark fill on the Avengers kinkmeme finds his comment, and that Matt and Karen never, ever find out about his weakness for RPF.
