OP - I kind of imagined that they wake up connected across universes. Still doing their thing in their own universes, just with a bit of extra commentary going on.

I wouldn't be against some universe crossing though because thats like... another fave trope I have.

God Matt is so so likely to get snippy with probably all of his alternate selves. (My kingdom for him being 'oh god no that's horrible decision making skill why' at one of the alternates because i feel like if Matt was the viewer of his actions rather than the partaker of said actions he'd be very against everything)

OK BUT DON'T FORGET ABOUT MURDERDOCK FROM THE SPIDERGWEN COMICS. Figure that guy lamenting about how all his other versions are such pathetically idealistic people and all the other matts just being quietly/loudly horrified

imagine murderdock's reaction to being made aware of all of the matts' support network. they don't take the same shape or maybe even do the same things but this is basically having a supervillian in your head oH GOD

also imagine all the matts grudgingly coaching each other with coping techniques for their mood disorders and encouraging each other to go seek out their friends when they obviously NEED to, and shouting and raising a ruckus when the depression is too heavy to sit up from until at last they get up

MATT HAVING TO DEAL WITH MURDERDOCK ON A VERY INTIMATE MIND LEVEL IS SOMETHING I AM AWARE OF ALL THE TIME AND NEED TO HAVE IN MY LIFE TBH

Murderdock interacting with the various friends/support networks and being creepy at everyone oh god. and dealing with a supervillian in your head. one who KILLS. which like... matt/s have struggled with 'to kill or not to kill' and now they have to deal with having FELT killing in a very intimate way. i just... *shudders*

okay so actually that is a question. because of the shared brain chemistry stuff would all the matt's experience the low or would some of them experience their lows at different times. seven people all sharing a brain all getting a depression low at the same time would be shit wow. But at least they all have each other, sometimes its just good to know someone's there and knows what's happening. even if they are a universe away.
Each matt is probably better at different things with coping mechanisms and different experiances so they'd make a good team once they organised working together. (616!matt would probably be the best at it. once he got over that self-loathing of his at least. [i hate old me anyone??])

I'd say yeah, like all of them would end up experiencing it, which is just terrible like. 616!Matt's coping mechanism seems essentially to be "fucking move, asshole, pretend you're completely fine" which. is not actually healthy, but it seems to work for him. so he's prob the first to start raising a ruckus in his counterparts' heads, usually. usually.

(depending on when it takes place, they could be around for the Purple Children arc. oh my god imagine how terrible it must be to suddenly feel all that rage and grief and pain and loneliness all at once.)

oh my god yes he'd probably be like. the Wolfgang of the group minus the shit family. like somebody says something like "you wouldn't do that, you don't maim/brutally torture people" and Matt's like "I've got somebody in my head who can" and lets Murderdock step in. (no one actually likes asking him for help, he's such a smug asshole, but you use what you have.)
