Not sure quite where this came from... but enjoy!

Sometimes Foggy just wanted to bleed.

He looked after everyone. That wasn’t a complaint. He liked looking after other people, his family, his friends, Matt. He’d be the first one to help someone move, or child/dog/cat/plant sit. He’d take you out to take your mind off your worries or listen to you if you needed to talk about them. He visited Bess, because she only had him and Brett, and knew the names of every one of his elderly neighbour’s grandchildren, who never got around to visiting so Foggy did her shopping for her and subtly checked she was eating and taking the right pills.

He did all that stuff because he liked to, but when you always do something people always expect it from you. They never even think what would happen if you stopped. Foggy didn’t want to stop. But sometimes it was hard. Hard to smile when you really wanted to scream. Hard to monitor that Matt didn’t study too much when your own workload was just as heavy. Hard to not ring the grandchildren and shout at them for being neglectful little shits. Hard to joke for Karen when everything was so dark he wanted to cry.

Those times he’d ring Lester. Because Foggy wanted to make it all go away for a short while and Lester loved to hold him down and cut shapes and symbols into Foggy’s soft skin. Foggy made himself wait until the need was overwhelming. Until he couldn’t stand being in his skin one more moment, when he had to have one thing, just one thing, that didn’t belong to anyone else. Because Lester loved it way too much and Foggy was afraid one day he just wouldn’t stop.

Foggy never could work out if that made it better or worse.

Op here and I love it. I just want to hug Foggy and hiss like a cat anytime anyone gets too close and then send him to therapy because he obviously needs it. All the characters in this series need therapy. FREE THERAPY ALL AROUND!!!
