• Prompts

  3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.
  
  
  4. Multiple fills are always okay.
  
  
  5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art, vids are all welcome.
  
  
  6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

I just want baby Matt in his high school orchestra or taking piano lessons or doing the Suzuki violin method. Matt + classical music please! Does he hurt his own ears playing wrong notes on the trombone? Does he get so good at kissing because his lips are skilled from playing the oboe? Does he woo the teen girls by playing the cello?

Also, possibly relevant: In the comics (at least back during David Mack's run in the early 2000s - I'm not up to date I'm afraid), Jack made Matt take piano lessons as a kid and Matt still plays when he's sad.

He also teaches himself the violin (in a few minutes), IIRC.

I think that Matt might make a good organist. They are very common in Catholic churches, so he would certainly have access to an instrument and a teacher, and he would probably enjoy the natural surround-sound effect of having the pipes stationed in different places around the keyboards. There was also a real life blind Catholic organist/composer named Louis Vierne (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Vierne) who could be an interesting role model for him. (Fun fact: Vierne died at the organ during a concert, and because his foot fell on one of the pedals, it took a moment for people to realize that he wasn't still playing.)
