  • General
    1. YKINMKATO. Play nice. If you don't like something, scroll on.

    2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

    3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

    4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

    5. Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

    6. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

  • Prompts
    1. All types of prompts are welcome.

    2. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing or characters, keywords, kink).

    3. Warnings are nice, but not mandatory. Get DW Blocker if there's anything you really don't want to see.

    4. Reposted prompts are allowed once one round has passed - i.e., prompts from post #2 cannot be reposted until post #4. Please include a link to where it has been previously posted.

  • Fills
    1. Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill.

    2. Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP Post.

    3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.

    4. Multiple fills are always okay.

    5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art, vids are all welcome.

    6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

Foggy doesn't want to help Bucky

Can someone write Captain America coming to Matt for help defending Bucky against the government? He wants Nelson & Murdock to prove Bucky was under Hydra's control and not himself. Matt (who's out to the Avengers after working with them as Daredevil) takes the case and Foggy is pissed. It turns out he had a cousin that Bucky killed on the hellicarrior. He doesn't want anything to do with helping them. Him and Matt are still trying to get over Matt's lying and they started dating slowly. The trial could push them apart. Basically I just want Foggy to not be ok with Matt taking the case and not helping at all. Even though Matt feels guilty about it he takes the case anyway. Foggy and Matt stay together though, just angst and Foggy not forgiving the guy who murdered his cousin and caused his family pain. I swear fandom acts like it's not ok to be pissed at Bucky. Screw Hydra but he did kill people and those people family don't give a damn about him being Captain America's friend. Sorry this was long.

The thing about being pissed at Bucky is that it's literally not his fault he did any of that. He wasn't in his right mind - he wasn't even himself. Sure, you can be pissed at him, emotions don't know logic anyway, but you can't really hold him accountable for those actions. So it's less about him being Cap's friend and more about the fact that Bucky did not chose of his free will to kill those people. If you've seen the scene where HYDRA is brainwashing him, you can tell it's not pleasant and it's not what he wants but he doesn't know how to fight it.

I would find that take more in line with Foggy's character - not that he holds Bucky accountable, but that he literally can't bring himself to defend or help defend someone who has hurt him/his family so badly. It just makes him a mental/emotional wreck and he has a conflict of interests so it's best to stay out of it. ("Do I want him to suffer for what he's done to my family? No. But I can't - I can't be involved in absolving him of those crimes, either, Matt, I just can't. Do you know what it would do to my family if they saw me defending him? Do you think they'd understand?")

Matt would definitely take his case and absolutely work on it even if it did make Foggy upset because that's what Matt does. There can still be a lot of conflict between Matt and Foggy over this: Matt says they have to do what's right, and Foggy says 'sure, but i can't be the one doing this, i just can't'

For anyone considering this prompt, maybe consider Matt and Foggy end up refusing to take the case and Bucky's canon lawyer takes over

I am absolutely for this variation to the prompt. Yeah, Foggy has every right to be emotional and upset and unwilling to defend Bucky due to conflict of interest, and he could absolutely hold Bucky accountable while not understanding how he was brainwashed, but if he understood the whole picture, I cannot imagine him blaming Bucky for something he was forced to do against his will by evil scientists. But stay out of it due to conflict of interest, for sure.

Its as okay to be pissed at Bucky as it is to be pissed at Clint. Hawkeye even killed people he actively knew and who trusted him.

There is kinda a reason fandom doesn't blame them though.
