Same anon from above: so like do you want MCU Karen literally transported into 616 where everything is the same except Karen is different or do you want her to wake up in like a For Want of a Nail where she learns about Daredevil's secret identity and she wakes up in a universe where having this knowledge means that she has to experience a world where it's a possibility that she sold it?

Just wondering because from what I remember uh Foggy was not very helpful during that arc and I loved what it did with Matt and stuff but the whole time I was like 'Foggy if at all possible by dating Matt's girlfriend you're making this worse.....'

OP: Hm, I'm fine with whatever works best for a filler, but the scenario I had imagined would have been Karen, still in the MCU, finding out about Matt being DD some way. Cue huge blow-up, 'can't believe you didn't TELL me!' etc, but not quite as bad as Nelson v. Murdock, because a) he saved her and b) he didn't keep that secret from her *that* long and c) she didn't tell him about Wesley, either.

Ideally, that revelation maybe happens during some stunt with the Avengers, where she gets a hint of a sort of crisis happening at the moment with 'alternate universes colliding' or something, just so she'll be better able to get a grip on the situation afterwards.


She goes to sleep that night, understandably kinda upset, but already sort of coming to terms with everything. Only she doesn't wake up in her apartment, but on a filthy mattress somewhere in a concrete bunker, in a country that is far hotter than New York should be.

(She's transferred over completely, btw, as in, she has a body that is neither malnourished nor drug-addled. Other than that, let's assume the Karens look identical.) Then she stumbles out to overhear a conversation that a) people think she's a crack whore about to sell out Daredevil and b) Fisk will pay good money for that information.

Karen runs, but this time, she's not simply running to get saved by Matt. She's going to *help* him save the city.

Nice! Thank you. I am unsure if I will write this but I love Born Again in a lot of ways but also in theory in a lot of ways so I'm kicking around a bunch of different ways to play with it...I feel like what is going to happen is I'm just going to shamelessly write like two or three different retreads of the same 1985 plotline!

But I haven't really been writing Karen and I love her so...this is definitely on my radar.
