Yeah, but Foggy has probably seen the letters, and Matt has to pretend he cannot read print.

I kind of just want Foggy in the really awkward position of reading Frank's sex mail to Matt. Frank would probably do it as retaliation for Foggy taking those pictures, and he'd be VERY detailed, including fantasies of what he'd like to do to Matt if he were there. Just imagine Foggy reading twenty pages of pure handwritten porn to Matt. It would be so awkward at first, but Foggy might even start enjoying it once he realizes how embarrassed it makes Matt.

"You know... you don't have to read all of it for me. I'm sure I can imagine how it goes..."

"Oh no, Matt. He clearly put a lot of effort into this, just for you. As your best friend it's the least I can do."

"No, really. You don't have to do this. Please."

This sort of thing does not help with my desire to write Frank/Foggy/Matt.

Because once Frank comes back, Foggy would feel left out and all forgotten and he knows its creepy to want to be involved in your best friends sex life...

It's bad enough that Foggy has a huge crush on his best friend. Now he's lusting after his best friend's boyfriend, who he has never met, but whose letters are both romantic and hot as hell.

And he really wishes Frank would send a photo but that's never going to happen because why would he send Matt a photo. So all Foggy's got is the mental image he built up from the letters.

And maybe Matt encourages Foggy to write to Frank too, because he wants them to be friends and he thinks they would be. (and he might have thought about them together once or twice but no-one has to know that)

And Foggy actually likes writing to Frank, because Frank is clever and funny, and a little bit mean in the way Foggy can be sometimes and it all getting a bit much to take. So Foggy takes up with his ex-girlfriend Marci to take his mind of people he absoultly can't have...

I kind of want to say Frank should send a picture under the pretence of wanting Foggy to describe it for Matt.

But also, how sad would it be if Frank came back but didn't tell Matt because he wanted to surprise him, so he goes looking for him but he's not in his dorm and it's Foggy who answers the door. And of course he doesn't recognize Frank, since he has no idea what he looks like, but he has a fleeting thought of 'oh hey, this guy is really handsome, maybe I can ask him out and forget my crush on my best friend and his ridiculously eloquent bf' before Frank introduces himself.

And once Foggy realised who this was he would blush and stammer and generally be painfully awkward in explaining who he was and Frank would probably say "Foggy! You've seen my boyfriend naked." right there in the corridor where everyone could hear just to be a dick and make Foggy blush more because it's ridiculously cute.

How would a threesome work? I can't see Matt just asking Frank 'hey, I kind of have this huge crush on my best friend, do you think we could hook up with him sometime? And.. keep him?'

Frank is very perceptive, though. He probably notices the tension between Matt and Foggy pretty much as soon as he comes back. I don't see him as being particularly jealous (at least not externally), and he'd trust Matt, but he might also be a bit insecure since falling in love with someone else is not the kind of thing you can help. It just happens.

So he'd probably have a long, honest talk with Matt (cuddling in bed, playing with his hair), figure out what he wants, and Matt admits that he wants them both. Which, Frank makes clear, much to Matt's surprise, is perfectly okay with him as long as Matt still wants him. Maybe he proposes an open relationship - which Matt then sneakily turns into a threesome once he notices how much Frank and Foggy like each other -, and encourages Matt to ask Foggy out, because he wants Matt to be happy, and he might also be a little afraid of losing him if he makes him choose.
