Fake fill

Every year on Foggy's birthday, Matt always noticed an envelope sitting in Foggy's trash. In the beginning Matt thought it was just standard junk mail, but soon realized this particular letter always had the same scent: gun powder and men's cologne. Strange combination.

One time while celebrating at Foggy's apartment, Matt sensed a new letter was in Foggy's trash again. He pretended to drop his pen in the trash, and when he bent down to pick it up, picked up the letter as well. "Oh, Foggy," he said casually. "I think you accidentally thrown this away."

Foggy snorted. "Yeah, it's just junk mail. Just toss it back in."

This was so not junk mail. Junk mail did have such a unique scent, hand written address and a stamp that had been licked. Curiosity peaked now, while Foggy's back was turned, Matt pocketed the letter.

Later that night, Matt opened the envelope. He pulled out the card and his hands were immediately dusted with... it took him a few seconds to register what it was. Glitter. His fingers ran over the front of the card, feeling the indentations of 'Happy Birthday!' printed on the front. A cartoon character of a snake holding balloons was the cover art.

He opened the card and the smell of money hit his nose. Reading this took a lot longer. Someone gave Foggy twenty dollars. Why would Foggy thrown away such a card? So far everything seemed really cute and sweet and thoughtful.

The message on the inside was written with pen, allowing Matt to read the short message.

Happy Birthday, dear nephew! I hope you have the greatest day and enjoy the twenty dollars!

*dying of laughter* Omg, trying to imagine Red Skull putting that card together, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Also, seriously man, only $20 for your nephew's birthday? I can't imagine money is really an issue for you, bro.
