RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

Prompts

If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

(Because the only thing I might like better than Matt/Frank is Matt/Steve.)

Matt and Steve have been acquaintances/friends/sparring partners for a while. Steve is starting to develop a serious crush on the lovely lawyer, so he decides to ask him on a date. Matt explains that he's already seeing someone, but won't say who.

Steve eventually figures out that Matt has been sleeping with the Punisher, whom he already has more than enough reasons to despise. Cue jealous!Steve giving Frank the shovel talk, and just generally being really antagonistic towards him (while Matt dies of embarrassment in the background).

Bonus:
+ Steve initially thinks that Frank and Matt's thing is purely physical, but he eventually realizes that there's a lot of tenderness there, too.
+++ If the Punisher and Captain America have to put aside their differences to rescue Matt from bad guys. Double Bonus if Matt's already halfway to rescuing himself when they arrive. Triple Bonus if Matt let himself get caught specifically so that Steve and Frank would have to get their acts together.
+++++ If Matt suggests that they resolve the problem by forming a threesome.

OMG, i love this! Matt would be so embarrassed by the shovel talk bit ("Steve. Ten minutes ago during training you threw me into a *wall* and I was fine.what exactly makes you think I am in *danger* from Frank?") And I would love a filler forever if they included the (mostly unncessary) rescue Mission bit! I don't actually think Matt would let himself get caught on purpose *just* to get steve and frank to make up, but I can easily see him using such an occasion of it occurred for exactly that XD

OP sort of meant the "lets himself get caught bit" in more of a "lets himself stay caught long enough for the others to get a clue." Like, Matt's slipped out of his bonds hours ago like the flexible bastard he is, but he knows he isn't in any danger, and so he just hangs out listening to Frank and Steve argue through the walls until they finally reach some sort of breakthrough. Then he finally lets himself out and is like "What took you so long???"

If it were possible to marry a prompt, this would be the one I put a ring on.

I love jealous!Steve and given how much he can't stand Frank, I imagine he'd give one helluva shovel talk. On the other hand, Frank would be seriously torn. He has a lot of respect for Captain America (even letting him beat the sh*t out of him in the comics rather than strike Cap back), so having Steve react badly to him dating Matt would likely cut a lot deeper than Frank would want to let on.

And then Matt would be frustrated about these two idiots, until he figured out that all the conflict was creating some seriously sexy tension...
