Oooh, yes please! (Bonus if Vampire!Foggy also helps DD out once or twice...)

FILL: I See, Said the Blind Man (2/6)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
After the incident with the paper balls, Foggy observed things slowly get back to normal. Well, as normal as they could be when your best friend is a super-heroic ninja who fights crime in a red devil costume. But he made good on his promise to Matt that they could move forward, at least.

The juggling helped. It broke some of the tension between them, became a way for Foggy to acknowledge that he knew Matt, really knew him, for the first time and get comfortable with everything that had happened. After Matt gave him that impromptu juggling lesson, it became something that they did frequently when they were alone.

They would juggle across the conference table to pass moments of boredom, or play catch back and forth between their offices, projectiles whizzing past Karen's empty desk, a game. A challenge.

Foggy invested in a basketball hoop for Matt's office and a collection of nerf balls. Karen was bewildered, but Matt explained to her that it was an in joke. She laughed, but clearly didn't get it.

One day, Foggy was sitting in his office working on some paperwork when he heard a sudden cry of "Murdock going for the win!" and watched a baseball, his baseball, go flying past him and into the small garbage can next to his desk, rustling the paper inside as it landed with a satisfying thunk.

"You know that could have hit me!" Foggy yelled.

"Are you gonna throw it back?" Matt asked, laughing.

Foggy was torn. On the one hand, he trusted Matt to catch it or get out of it's way. But on the other hand, a baseball was a lot harder than a ball made of paper or foam. And it was difficult for Foggy to shake off his deep-seated sense that throwing a baseball at a blind person was asking for trouble.

"Come on," Matt said. "Throw it back already!"

So Foggy did. And he flinched as it sailed through the air, letting out a sigh of relief when Matt caught it effortlessly.

"Show off," Foggy muttered, chuckling to himself and knowing that Matt could hear him.

After that, Foggy slowly got used to the idea that, with Matt, nothing was off limits. Which was fine, until Karen walked in a second after a stapler left his hand heading towards Matt. The fact that the smug bastard had let it fall to the floor in front of him like he hadn't seen it coming didn't make Foggy look very good. He doubted that she believed him when he said that it flew out of his hand by accident. He was a terrible liar.

It wasn't until one night at Josie's that Foggy finally got an opportunity to coax Matt further out of his comfort zone and convince him to use his skills outside of the office or a darkened street brawl.

The weather outside was atrocious. Spring had arrived and brought with it a series of thunderstorms of epic proportions, which meant that the bar was empty. Matt and Foggy were the only patrons, the weather having driven everyone else away. They were soaking wet, and, for once, both uninterested in heading their separate ways.

"Aren't you planning on going out tonight?" Foggy asked. "To... you know... do your thing?" Being the only people in the bar meant that the place was eerily quiet. He didn't know if Josie was interested in eavesdropping on them or not, despite the fact that she was on the phone at the other end of the bar.

"No," Matt said softly. "If nobody's here, then nobody will be out there either. Plus, the rain and I don't get along."

"What do you mean?" Foggy asked.

"The rain messes with me," Matt said. "On the one hand, it illuminates things more clearly because I can better hear where everything is, but it also drowns out necessary information. It dampens smells and changes the air pressure. It's beautiful, but it makes things difficult."

"Oh," Foggy said, not sure what to say to that. Matt very rarely talked about things like that with him.

"Alright, gentlemen!" Josie yelled at them as she hung up the phone, "We're closing up! Go home!"

Foggy groaned and Matt sighed. "It's only 7pm," Foggy complained. "Come on, Josie, what gives?"

"My fool son's basement apartment is flooding," Josie said, "and he needs me to help him fish his stuff out and put him up. We're closing early tonight."

"Couldn't we stay until the rain slows?" Matt asked. "We'd be happy to lock the place up for you. You could put any drinks on our tab. You know us, Josie. You can trust us."

Josie snorted. "Say the lawyers," she said. "Professional liars, that's what you boys are."

Foggy gasped in offense and clutched his chest overdramatically. "After all the business we give you?" he asked. "Your best customers?"

Josie just stared.

"Okay," Foggy said, "Your least shady customers?"

"Fine," Josie said, and she took a set of keys off of a large key-ring attached to her belt and threw it to Foggy, who fumbled to catch it. "You stay another hour or two, tops. I'll be double-checking to see if anything's missing or what you drank afterwards, and I expect you to leave me a very generous tip. You pull the gate down and lock up carefully when you're done. Two deadbolts, a padlock on the gate, and the front lock. And you clean up after yourselves."

They nodded. "Absolutely," Matt said. "Thanks, Josie."

"Don't thank me until after I come back at closing time to check that you left everything the way you found it," she said.

And they were alone in the bar.

Foggy smiled at Matt. "So," he said. "Darts?"

"Darts?" Matt asked. "Really?"

"Why not?" Foggy asked. "Nobody's around to see. It's just you and me!"

Matt looked unamused, but he agreed, and before long Foggy was sorry he'd asked his friend to play. Matt's sense of direction and marksmanship were insane. After a couple of rounds, Foggy realized that there was no competition in it. He made Matt stand further and further away from the dartboard, but it didn't seem to matter. And Matt's skill made things less fun for both of them.

"Seriously?" he finally asked. "What the hell? You're not double-bluffing me are you? You're not secretly also aiding the Avengers using the name Hawkeye? You are unreal!" He pulled the three darts firmly sunk into the center target off of the board.

Matt just shrugged at him. "Sorry," he said. "You were the one who told me that you didn't want me to lie anymore."

"Oh," Foggy said. "You are a piece of work, my friend. Fine. Let's play something that you don't have any experience with. Have you ever played pool?"

"No," said Matt with a smile. "Although I should warn you that my dad used to be great at it, before I was born. He used to tell me stories. So there's a chance that I may have inherited his talent."

"Well then," said Foggy, "let's do this."

He taught Matt how to rack the table and gave him a couple of basic pointers on his form, and they started to play. He soon regretted it.

"You're so full of it," he said, frustrated.

"What?" Matt asked innocently.

"You're a pool shark! You never played before? Yeah, right," Foggy said.

"I really have never played before, Foggy," Matt told him. "I guess my particular set of skills just lend themselves to pool. I could see how I have an advantage. My senses are finely attuned to predicting momentum, determining friction, understanding motion. My training helps me understand where the balls are in relation to one another, exactly where to hit them and how much pressure to use to get them to do what I want."

"Okay then," Foggy said. "So we play a game that I'm well-trained for."

"And what game is that?" Matt asked.

"A drinking game!" Foggy yelled with a grin, and hopped the counter to find a bottle.

Foggy won that one. And he did it while still somehow being sober enough to lock up Josie's and see Matt home in the pouring rain before stripping off his wet clothes and collapsing onto the man's couch.

But he resolved that he would have to find something fun to do with Matt that didn't make him feel inadequate and that resulted in less damage to his liver.

Re: Foggy - You've been Lawyered!

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I looked it up and I am guessing that yeah it is similar.

Lawyered comes from the show How I Met Your Mother. The character Marshall who is a lawyer says it after he wins arguments.

Re: Matt/Any, Matt is a highly paid escort

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Love all the escort AUs! Seconded! (Bonus if Matt deliberately goes on dates with people he knows will try to hurt him/kidnap him, just so he can take them out when they take him home)

Do want

Re: FILL: I See, Said the Blind Man (2/6)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
YES! Love love LOVED it! :D My, but Foggy really seems to have some trouble to find a game where they have equal standing, huh? Maybe try bike riding? :3 Or a trip to the beach to play with an inflatable ball?

Re: -fill- the breath that passed from you to me (1/?)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooh, still loving it! I like it how Matt sees the Avengers as actually dangerous and uncontrolled, it's a different spin on his stance during civil war. :) (Side note: you might want to put the subject line of your Fill as -fill- Part *2*, because otherwise you can't see that you wrote a second part without expanding!)

Matt/Foggy - Matt gets insecure about being out of shape

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
An injury or something prevents Matt from being Daredevil and from getting his normal amount of exercise for an extended period. Like he breaks a leg, maybe. He starts to get at least a little out of shape.

Foggy isn't surprised that the forced superhero vacation is making Matt depressed, but he's really confused when Matt starts to shy away from Foggy's touches and doesn't want Foggy to see him naked. Matt will offer to give Foggy blowjobs or handjobs, but he won't let Foggy return the favor in any way.

This is because Matt thinks Foggy won't be attracted to him anymore, and when Foggy finds out, he becomes dead set on proving how much he loves Matt's body just the way it is.

And it would be great if they had an exchange sort of like this:
Foggy: Okay, but I'm out of shape and you're attracted to me, right?
Matt: That's different.
Foggy: How?
Matt: IT JUST IS, IDK

Matt/Peter, online dating

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Daredevil and Spiderman know each other, but Matt and Peter do not. That is, until they end up messaging on okcupid and arrange a date. The second Peter sits down, Matt knows he's Spiderman, but he doesn't know if he should bring it up... They end up having a damn good time.

I'd prefer if Matt did tell Peter that they already knew each other, but I don't mind if it's before/during/after the date. (oh, and please no sex)

+1 for awkward flirting and make outs
+11 for Foggy liking Peter
+111 for Spiderman and Daredevil making out in full costume
+1111 if Deadpool is included in any way

Matt dies. Foggy takes his place as Daredevil

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
One day Foggy finds Matt dead on the floor in costume after a night out daredevilling. And I mean definitely dead, stone cold, bled out never getting up again dead. Foggy now has a decision to make. If he calls the cops, and they find Matt in his suit, that casts doubt over every case he and Foggy ever worked, Foggy could well be disbarred, all their clients would be in trouble, and some criminals might even come after him and Karen out of spite even with Matt dead. So Foggy strips Matt out of the costume and hides it before the police arrive.

Time goes by and Foggy has a really hard time dealing. Matt's suit is still sitting at the bottom of his wardrobe, and Foggy can't stop thinking about it. He starts going to the gym and working out. Brushing up on half remembered judo skills. Then one night he puts on Matt's suit and goes out as daredevil. He half expects to get himself killed but it actually goes very well. He keeps doing it.

No-one realizes Daredevil is a different person, for a while. Then a superhero Matt used to team up with asks Foggy for a team up and it doesn't take them long to figure out something is wrong. They jump to the conclusion that Foggy is a villain that has hidden Daredevil and is now impersonating him for nefarious reasons. They drag him back to a safehouse/avengers tower/wherever and interrogae him. Foggy then breaks down in tears and tells them everything
Bonus points if they initially refuse to believe it/don't want to believe he's dead, and its only after checking Foggy's story that they are forced to accept it.

Re: Slavery AU; Foggy gets Matt for a college graduation present

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Good ideas as such, but maybe for a slightly different prompt - a big part why I liked OP's prompt was that Matt was able to hide his slavery status because Foggy protects him, and that was gooey and wonderful - buuuut, if every blind/disabled person is enslaved, everyone would automatically know blind Matt Murdock couldn't be a free man. Plus, to keep up in law school and become a lawyer, you'd probably at least need a high school education.

Love the idea that Jack died because he saw it as the only way to ensure Matt's future, but that would probably end up a darker and grittier slavery AU than the 'runs parallel to the show' prompt. I'd personally like the idea that Matt always thought Stick was gonna adopt him (and thereby save him from enslavement and being sold when he was 18) and his departure therefore hit that much harder.^^°

Matt beats down an stalker

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Prompted because I wish someone would punch my stalkery ex.

So Matt realizes someone he loves is being stalked. It's all legal, calls and messages and tiny reminders that the other person is there. Matt can feel how horrified the victim is. And Matt gets angry.

For once, I'm not asking for porn. Write me something violent anons.

Please.

This wins as best mental image of the day. Truly outrageous.

Re: Slavery AU; Foggy gets Matt for a college graduation present

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I will also read anything! I'd love to see the scene where Matt is first delivered to Foggy's door, how he would expect Foggy to inspect him, order him about, be absolutely horrible - and then is totally thrown by kindness.

I'd love to read a scene where pretending-to-be-a-free-man!Matt for the first time absolutely *destroys* someone in a mock trial during class, surprising Foggy with the viciousness he hides under his servile demeanour. When Foggy congratulates him, Matt grumbles that yes, he might have won that debate, but if his opponent had known that he was a slave, he could have ordered him to kneel on the floor and shut up, so he's taking that victory with caution. (But he still can't hide the smile at Foggy's praise).

I'd love to read a scene where Foggy gifts Matt with a new collar (I'm trash, all my slavery AUs feature collars) since he is legally mandated to wear one and could get in trouble if ever checked for ID without one. But because Foggy's awesome, it's one Matt can easily hide under his clothes - it's long, thin red leather, and so wide he can even quickly pull it over his head without opening it. Foggy blushes a bit when he tells Matt that it's a model from the section for female slaves, but it was the only one he was reasonable sure would never show up beneath a shirt, and sorry about the glaring colour, but, uh...do you like it? I'm sorry that was a dumb question, of course you wouldn't *like* that stupid thing they're making you wear, but -

It's the first time that Matt has hugged him, ever.

I want to read that scene where Matt thinks about how being Daredevil is so incredibly *freeing*, finally a state where he doesn't have to worry about being outed as a slave, a place where he is ony absolutely *equal* footing with the free men he fights, and if they're slave traffickers - well. Matt has a LOT of pent-up feelings on that subject...

I'd love to read a scene where Foggy has to take Matt to various appointments (with the Dean, with Doctors for yearly mandatory check-ups, with the disability councillor) because Matt himself can't sign or agree to anything - it's his owner's decision what the doctor checks, what classes Matt takes, etc. Luckily, it does not seem *that* weird to other students that Foggy apparently takes his blind 'roommate' to a lot of places as a guide...

I'd love to read a scene where Matt goes to the municipal bureau to fetch some paperwork for Foggy concerning his emancipation process. What kind of people work there? Do they treat him like a child/object? Are they genuinely trying to be helpful? Is it a mix?

I'd love to read a scene where at some point Matt and Foggy manage to joke about Matt's ass literally belonging to Foggy the same way they manage to joke about him being blind on the show. Like, Matt by then trusts Foggy with nearly everything, *knows* Foggy would never mistreat him ever, and therefore phrases like 'you're a terrible slave, Murdock. I should whip your ass six ways to sunday' actually DO become a joke, because the very idea is nowhere near terrifying like it usually would be, but instead completely ridiculous.

I'd also love to read a scene where Foggy actually *does* pull the owner card to force Matt to sleep/eat/relax/ stop beating himself up. It chafes Matt badly to be treated like a slave for the first time in over a year, and Foggy feels kind of terrible to remind him, but at the same time Matt *needs* to give himself a break. All the conscience conflict for Foggy and all the confused feelings between 'restrained' and 'comforted' for Matt, please :3

Last, but not least....what does Foggy DO when he finds out?! Emancipate Matt regardless? Or put a stop to daredeviling? Or makes Matt promise to stop until he has figured out whether to release Matt after all?

DC/Batfamily Crossover

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Somehow, the Batfamily end up in New York and figure that it's not Gotham but there's probably some crime and they might as well carry on with the vigilantism here.

Cue Red Hood and Nightwing ending up in Hell's Kitchen
"Yeah, the 'Devil of Hell's Kitchen'? Not very friendly." - Nightwing
"Oh, he wasn't that bad. He only attacked us twice and didn't even try to kill us." - Red Hood

Oh my god the angst.

Re: DC/Batfamily Crossover

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Claire finds one of them in a dumpster, and when Matt trips over them passed out on her couch he gets really annoyed. Like "Not only are they beatin up ciriminals in my territory, they're now trying to stal my nurse. Next thing you know they'll be stealing my porridge"

Re: Charity batchelor auction, gen/any, repost

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes please! Also I wanna see Matt get jumpy during the auction, because somewhere some (low-level, theft or something) crime is being committed closeby and he is *begging* to be auctioned off and just let out of sight for ten damn minutes so he can go stop it...

Re: Serial Killer Targeting Abusive Partners; Matt Plays the Abused Bait

Aaah, yes! I wrote a bit for that prompt the last round, I actually do have some more! I just need to find it and get off mobile!

Gen or any, mutant Foggy can cause pain

(Anonymous) 2015-08-23 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Foggy has a very powerful mutant ability that he never uses. He's never told anyone, not his parents, not Matt. See, Foggy's power is the ability to cause pain. He can will someone to experience the most brutal agony just by thinking about it. He can tear people down with the most vicious of words because he knows exactly what to say to destroy someone utterly. Foggy can't understand what cruel joke of nature would give him that sort of power, because what the hell does that say about him, being able to deliberately cause others pain.

Then one day, he's put in a situation where his gift is the only thing that can get him and Matt out of trouble. What does he do?
