Gotham is next to Hell's Kitchen,so villains are coming out of the woodwork.The Joker is looking to make Foggy his next Harley Quinn and Matt might actually Kill him.Batman reads the situation wrong and thinks Foggy is a willing participant in the madness.

Shit goes downhill from there.

Matt is a celebrity/prince/official who is being threatened by somebody bad, and so Frank is hired as his bodyguard. He can totally take care of himself--but having Frank around is nice for other reasons.

Mostly fluff with just a little bit of danger to get the relationship ball rolling.

I like the humour in this story, the sly little descriptions like "Matt's nose was not cold and wet" or how Matt reacted to the nose tweak.

Am I the only one who reads this and suddenly has this song going around in their head? (Maybe I'm the only one on this kinkmeme old enough to have ever heard it.)

So after about a year of knowing Matt, he is almost 100% certain Matt has bipolar disorder. Matt is not very responsive to this suggestion - he's perfectly mentally stable with all of the meditation he does. Sure sometimes he has done some reckless stuff like that semester in college where he got really into drugs and unsafe sex and almost failed out. And then there was that time recently where it felt like he could hardly breathe for how numb he felt. But he pushed through those just fine and got to the other side. Problem solved obviously.

The relative in question can also be Foggy himself.

Is that she is a trans woman who once got arrested for being a sex worker.

Depression isn't always not washing for days, staying in bed or suicide ideation. Sometimes it's feeling disconnected from all your friends, trying to fake human interactions because you've forgotten how social connection works, but going through the motions anyway because it may Be a 50/50 chance that if you fake it long enough you'll make it, but you know for sure that if you give into temptation and just withdraw it will definitely get worse.

So give me Matt struggling to fake normality, conscious that he's skirting a full blown depressive episode, but trying through sheer force of will to stave it off. Maybe he succeeds, maybe he doesn't; maybe he fools them all, maybe he doesn't.

I will love you forever if it's something Foggy recognises from their college days and knows better (experience?) than to make an issue of, but just tries to be supportive and encourage and include Matt without being pushy. Treading a fine line and hoping all the while that this is one of the times Matt succeeds for Matt's sake, because whether he does or not Foggy will still be there for him.

He makes them really pretty even though Matt cant really see them and Matt likes the swishy feelings of the brush on his fingers.

And Foggy takes care of him for a few days. Matt is really really against going to the hospital, especially when his fever gets so high he isn't connected to reality. So after caring for his every need ha has to figure out how to get Matt to a hospital so the fever doesn't cause permanent brain damage.

And now I want fanfic with that set-up. (Basically, someone puts out an ad looking for a roommate, gets one, and after a year of resistance, they fall madly in love.) Matt and Foggy were the first ones who poppped into mind, given that they're roommates in canon, but if any other pairing strikes your fancy, feel free to do something different!

You might like the wip "In my honey and in my milk.' It deals a lot with at least some of this stuff. But I'm always a slut for Matt having a mood disorder so I fully endorse having more of this stuff in the world.

In the comics, Matt gets caught as Daredevil and taken to the interdimensional prison until he willingly unmasks. While being told this this, he spits a silver dollar at Reed Richards and basically tells him there are 29 more coming.

Matt, Foggy, Karen and Brett (and maybe Marci) are in a platonic poly-community.
They go out on dates with each other, there's hand-holding, cuddling, bed/food/etc sharing, helping each other clean and cook and do their taxes, and being each other's medical contact person, but no sex. (If they do, it's more of an occasionally happening friends with benefits arrangement thing and they can date/have sex with other people)
It works for them. Then Matt invites Claire to join.

I already see the trailer for this movie in my head.

So if MCU!Karen comes to the early death of her 616 counterpart, you still gotta figure she shouldn't just be fridged; she should have badass heroic death. So somebody tell us, how did it happen? Did she save Matt and Foggy? Did she save a group of people? Did she save Hell's Kitchen? Did she save the world? If Bullseye killed her, did she at least take him down with her? Did she take Fisk down with her? Or how about Thanos?
Matt and Foggy are both devastated, of course(all for OT3 or Karen/Foggy), and Matt probably thinks It Should've Been Him(tm), but they should both ultimately respect her choice to go out heroically.

you linked back to this thread, and I'm pretty sure you didn't intend to do that, and now I'm curious as to what song it is.

So I saw this on Tumblr:
