I had this exact thought the other day, and I considered posting a prompt where Fisk is the owner of a sex toy shop or something else that would be equally worthy of being owned by someone called a Kinkpin.

Thank you! I'm glad this was exhibiting the right response (is saying enjoy it wrong given he subject matter?) I hoped to capture the tone of the prompt, glad I managed to do that.

I remember reading a fic like this. I'll link it when I find it again. Anyway, totally seconded.

Matt is dating someone of your choice who has been abusing him. Karen overlooked it for a while, possibly assuming they were just Daredevil injuries (if she knows already). But then Matt's SO is going to be put on trial for something, and it wouldn't do for the prosecution to find out that they've been beating their blind boyfriend. So Matt decides that he's going to protect them by hiding all of the physical signs.

Problem is, he doesn't really know how to use makeup, and he wouldn't be able to tell if he had managed to cover all of the discoloration on his visible skin. After some deliberation, he asks Karen to help him out.

Cue Karen struggling with the decision of whether to help Matt defend the person who hurt him or to just walk away.

I refreshed the tab and found this. I'm very much not disappointed.

Wow, anon. This song has so many ways it fits Matt. Some of it reminds me of the way Stick treated him, and other parts remind me of his various friendships (I have to admit, when I first listened to it I immediately thought of Clair/Matt romance, but that's just my bias!). I definitely hope someone fills this!

I doubt you mean it, but my mind immediate went to Mirai Niki/Future Diary

My first thought for the SO was Frank Castle, since he and Matt fight all the time in the comics, but when I thought about it, in a fair fight Matt usually wins. He doesn't pull his punches when he's with Frank.

The next person that popped into my head was Elektra. She's extremely dangerous, but Matt's still protective of her. Where I couldn't see Matt covering for Frank, I could totally see him covering for Elektra. Maybe she even abused him while they were dating in college, but it was rare enough that Matt blamed it on stress. Now that she's back, she's become far more violent, but Matt's so glad she's with him again that he'll put up with just about anything.

Maybe Karen is worried that if she doesn't help Matt defend Elektra, she'll be accused of just being jealous.

Foggy has never made a big deal about how he and Matt hooked up that one time - it was college, you're supposed to experiment, they were young and living in each other's pockets and stressed out the way only law students are stressed out and besides, Matt's bed basically had a revolving door.

...except rumours of Matt's experience in college may have been slightly exaggerated, but it's awkward to correct your roommate's assumptions when you are, in fact, Matt Murdock: tragic repressed orphan terrified of forming emotional attachments, aka still a virgin in postgrad.

And then years later Foggy somehow finds out that he was Matt's very first, and is slightly appalled that Matt's first time was an awkward sloppy drunk hookup that they hardly even talked about afterwards.

(And also that from what Foggy remembers it wasn't even that great of a hookup, he has definitely improved since then, he has learned things, okay, and he might need to call a do-over on this one.)

ok look. I. am also writing a Sense8 fusion--while it's not exactly what you're asking for (it's more of a multi-crossover thing, but the sensates we do know occasionally show up), the way I wrote Matt's senses was something like: sudden flash of darkness, during which everything is suddenly loud and smelly and hurts too much and also why is the world like. only outlines and silhouettes??? what the fuck.

(later on when they're more settled it's more like, they remembered what happened when they accidentally shared Matt's senses, so what happens is that Matt ends up trying to show them how to deal with said senses, with varying success.

he also became the Sole Cook of the cluster, bc no one could cook very well and Matt was just like, okay, shut up, sit back, let me do this. tell me where your goddamn salt is.)

(WHAT IF THE SENSATES SEND MATT MENTAL IMAGES THOUGH. Will sends Matt a picture of what he looks like in the Daredevil costume. Capheus sends Matt a mental image of, like, everything that he thinks Matt might like to see. stuff like that.)

OP here: Oh man, this is so good and so painful. D: My heart broke for Matt and Stephanie. Matt's fury is chilling, but it makes so much sense for her character and what she's been through. I really liked the line about how baby Stephanie reminded her of Stick.

I don't mind the name at all! Having her still go by Matt hadn't really occurred to me, but now that I've read it I really like it. I definitely see Jack's daughter being a tomboy.
