For the sake of clarification, whom does Matt think is giving the test? God? The Devil? Foggy?

...Because if he initially thinks that it actually is Foggy, then that could have deliciously angsty implications for their relationship. "I'm not interested in you that way, but if it's this or risk losing you, I'll definitely choose this."

And then it's NOT Foggy, which is something of a relief, but also incredibly terrifying at the same time. ...What if the Devil deploys just enough aspects of Foggy's personality/voice/mannerisms for Matt to be continually second-guessing himself at key moments, giving him the advantage until he has Matt right where he wants him?

OP - I was initially thinking Matt gets possessed, but I'm liking the idea of Foggy or someone else getting possssed instead.

...I'm the OP of that prompt and when I saw this I couldn't resist. I'm not sorry.

When Jack next visits his son's apartment, Matty's stitching up a kid no older than seventeen in a red and blue spandex costume, and there's a girl at Matt's counter, can't be older than eighteen, with her leg in a cast, sorting arrowheads.

Jack waits until Matt's done with the kid, then says, "Matty, the hell's going on?" in a very calm tone.

Matt jumps, and the kid on the couch startles, eyes snapping to meet Jack's. The girl by the kitchen counter nearly falls off her chair, so surprised is she, and she's the first one to say, "Oh my god, Matt, I thought you said--"

"Dad," says Matt, looking and sounding much like he used to when he was nine and trying very hard to hide that he'd sneaked a snack in past his bedtime, "I thought you were only coming by tomorrow."

"There was a gang called the Wrecking Crew out," says Jack, fixing the kid on the couch--Spider-Man with a look. "Heard Spider-Man, Daredevil, and that other Hawkeye went up against them." I wanted to see if you were all right, goes unsaid, but Matt seems to catch the meaning anyway, from the way he starts fiddling absently with his sleeves, like he doesn't know where to put his hands.

"This isn't what it looks like?" Spider-Man weakly offers.

"I tried that excuse already," says Matt. "Um. Dad, this is Spider-Man. That's Hawkeye."

"Kate," Hawkeye offers. "We, uh. We've been crashing in Matt's apartment for a while. You do know--"

"Yeah, I do," Jack sighs, massaging his temples. First the Battle of New York, then his kid's being Daredevil, now this. "Come on," he says, letting paternal instinct kick in, "Matt, lemme look you all over, Christ--any of you need to go to the hospital?"

"No hospitals," comes the completely expected chorus.

Jack lets out a breath, then walks over to the kitchen and turns the faucet on. "Thought so," he says. "Hand me that kit, Matty."

I can't speak for Columbia Law, but if he were accepted to Columbia for undergrad, he would almost certainly get a full ride including all fees, books, lodging, and a meal plan.

But MCU's Columbia isn't necessarily the same, so whatevs.

I just picture Bullseye going after Jen like he does all Matt's girlfriends and Jen hulking out. Cue Bullseye getting a much-deserved beat-down.

Prompt: Nelson and Murdock have a client! And a paying one! He also is someone Foggy knows from high-school. What a great coincidence! Only Foggy does everything to avoid him, leaves Matt to do any meetings with him etc. and generally acts odd enough that even Karen, who has no super-senses, picks up that something is off.
Turns out the guy was basically the ring-leader of Foggy's high-school bullies.
'But why didn't you say anything?'
'Because we really need his money. Also it's totally not bad. It's not like I'm just reliving some of my worst HS experiences in nightmares or anything. Nope.'
Matt and Karen are Not Amused in capital letters about Foggy thinking like that and even Less Amused about the guy.

So I get the feeling that Foggy aggressively tries to be funny and happy for other people a lot? Like he feels like he is on stage to the world. He turns on a different demeanor for when he is working with his clients and drops it when he is very very upset but it always seems to me that he is trying really hard to put the happiness of others first because he is generous but also because he feels like that is how he is valuable.

So...why is he like this? Messed up home life? Taunting at school? A series of bad relationships? Pick your poison!

I was thinking the other day, Matt and Rorschach have similar backgrounds.

-Raised by a single parent, before being sent to an orphanage/group home.
-Idolize their fathers (the difference being, Rorschach idolized an imaginary version of a man he never met).
-Walter's papers at the Lillian Charlton Home said he excelled at boxing, gymnastics and religious studies.

Basically, I want them to meet, too.

Two or more characters in a relationship get drunk with the explicit purpose of having drunk sex later, because drunk sex is fun.

(Or, in other words, I saw the copious amounts of alcohol consumed both on the show and in fanfic and went "Hey ... Let's roll with this.")

Prompt: Hi kinkmeme, I noticed that there's a distinct lack of Jack-centric prompts, so please allow me to rectify that.

I would like to see a fanfic in which Jack takes up sex work to help pay the bills when boxing isn't enough or he has to take a break from his usual source of income for some reason.

Can be from Jack's POV, exploring his feelings on the matter, or maybe about Matt finding out somehow (as a kid or much later, as an adult) or you could explore this from a completely different angle, I don't mind.
