Yes, yes, yes. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. XD I do subscribe to pretty much any headcanon that involves Foggy flinging stuff at DD for any and all of the above reasons. And if he met/spent any amount of time with DD on his own - especially if DD tends to ~appear~ out of nowhere and scare the shit out of Foggy - I can see him developing the habit independently of his habits with Matt. Sort of a combination of a reflexive attempt at self-defense and a strenuous protest at DD's enjoyment of scaring him half to death. Granted, he'd carry it over after he Figured It Out. And chuck shit at both of them. Because his best friend is an asshole. A ninja asshole. XD

I have the feeling this happens a lot to Matt, because he's 1) he's gorgeous, and 2) he's blind. He's going to attract either the most well-intentioned people who would take away his agency in a heartbeat just because they want to do for him (people grabbing him and dragging him across the street at an intersection or just generally trying to make decisions for him), or he's going to attract the worst of the worst who would love to take away his agency also, but with horrible intentions because hey, pretty blind guy, it's not like he'll be able to know who did anything to him, right? I think it must happen so often that Matt knows how to tell these people coming from a mile away, based on their pheromones or heartbeat or if they're already popping an erection while talking to him. Having Foggy around to play interference (oh god, the things Foggy must see!) must be a godsend.

Pen: Blind ninjas vs the human avengers.

Stick and Matt must team up together again and end up against the human Avengers. The Avengers get their assess handed to them due to convenient darkness (obv. Hulk would not be in the fight). Iron Man is really their only worry.

For whatever it's worth, as an American-English native speaker, I *definitely* use:

come back/go to mine
invite him round (although I usually write it as 'round, for some reason)
toilets (instead of bathroom)
took me the whole of ____ to ___ (although not commonly)
yeah? (I probably excessively use yeah in this way, this is fine)
bit ___, were you? (usually jokingly - I'll ask a friend, "Bit hungry, were you?" as they inhale food, for instance)
than he'd ever dared hope (probably not this specific phrase in either example, BE or AE, but I definitely use dared and drop for sometimes)

so those didn't ring any bells for me. But rucksack, mum, "not got" instead of "has/have", "___ is what it is", taking the piss, and wanking definitely sound BE, although I've seen them often enough in writing/online that they didn't throw me for a second. :)

OP: I was thinking more Matt or Foggy, mostly because of the fact that we have seen Karen kill already and both Matt and Foggy have such a firm stance on murder for their own reasons, but if anyone who wants to fill it wants to take on Karen (maybe she kills again? maybe it ties into her Fisk nightmare of killing becoming something she starts seeing as easy), go ahead.

Yes, exactly! I don't doubt Foggy has his moments of insecurity (who wouldn't in his place, Jesus), but he and Matt have been living in each other's pockets for years and best friends from basically the moment they met. They recognize and acknowledge each other's strengths and on top of that, they're good together, and they know it. It's lovely. I cannot handle one-sided relationships. Moments of doubt are one thing, but if there isn't need and affection on both sides, I am out.

AGREED. My go-to explanation for why Foggy wasn't flipping the fuck out all through S1 is that he knows Matt has boundaries and is fiercely independent. There's only so much mother-henning he'll take, Foggy thinks. So he's careful not to fuss too much, but he watches. And worries.

(Matt is a beautiful, snarky, self-destructive mess, but he's got the balls to pull off a misdirection like that. XD)

Ouch. You could easily takes this in an angsty direction, because c'mon Foggy 'I have no secrets and it worries me when others do' Nelson would suddenly be confronted really obviously by the fact that people he trusts are potentially lying to him regularly.

This is so adorable. I can really see DD stopping in mid-punch, getting frustrated and just spends the rest of the fight dodging her attacks. I especially like the part where one of the guys starts shaking the unconscious thug. "Stop being injured! We have a baby on the way!" Oh lolololololol. This is really cool, thanks for writing it. =)

It's just such a non sequitur... And it-- I don't even think it would necessarily need to be crack! Just one of those really, really unfortunate, embarrassing events that you sometimes remember when you're trying to fall asleep. I can so, so imagine Fisk, mortal enemy of Daredevil that he is, just being totally polite about it, you know, just leveling with him as a human being, but it would STILL be weird ANYWAY, because, umm, BONER???

Oh man, guys. I can imagine this fic having The Office-level cringe. I need to FEEL Matt's embarrassment TANGIBLY.

And I'm loving talking to you about them! <3 I am torn between urging you to go home and pleading with you to stick around for a while. THERE IS SO MUCH TO SAY! 616!Matt would be utterly lost without his Foggy, and some parts of V3 canon were wrenching to read. So yes, I can see him missing Foggy bitterly and being so so scared over what's happening with him. But their reunion if/when 616!Matt goes home would be a thing of beauty. And tears. HAPPY TEARS, GODDAMN IT.
