Matt turns 32 this year.

He's as old as his dad was when he died.

Claire didn't quite remember how it happened: she knew that she was trying to check the Viking woman - Sif's - Sif's awareness of person, place, and time, after she woke up, and Sif was even worse than Matt at staying still and keeping out of the way of people who were trying to help her.

Suffice to say that Sif wound up pacing down Claire's hallway, shedding armor and weird - weirdly silky clothing - as she looked for a bathroom.

(Claire was a nurse, she'd seen people naked, she really had, but Sif had hard biceps and a narrow waist and an ugly scar curling around her ribs, and - and she was startlingly beautiful, even in Claire's shitty little apartment hallway with the stained carpet.)

"I beg pardon," she said, and she turned to look at Claire. Who kept her eyes firmly above collarbones, in this particular region. "I would wash." Sif made a face. "I find the smoke of these particular automobiles particularly unpleasant."

Matt wonders if he looks like his father, sometimes. He remembers how his eyes used to crinkle at the corners when he laughed (and even when he didn't). Remembers stubble. Remembers how tall he was.

Matt turns 32 this year, and he thinks about how his father was stopped in time forever at that age. Matt remembers him being... older than this, somehow; tries to remember a time when he thought 30 was old. Tries to imagine what it must’ve been like, being the father of a newborn at 22, a single parent for the rest of his 20s, and then dying before he had a chance to grow old, knowing that he was leaving a 10-year-old son behind to grow up without him.

And then he thinks about how he’s been without a dad longer than he’d had one (and 3 of those years don’t even count because he can’t remember that far back), and sometimes he can almost convince himself that he hasn’t missed much - that 10 years is an insignificant amount of time in the grand scheme of his life (only one third of his lifetime so far, in fact), and will only grow smaller from here on out - but then he thinks about all three graduation ceremonies, and passing the Bar Exam, and staring his own practice with his best friend, and all the insignificant things in life too that Jack has missed out on.

If he thinks about it too hard, he gets angry. And he doesn't want to be angry at his dad. Because he's his dad, but also because he's not HERE to be angry AT.

Matt is 32 and thinks: I didn't need all that money; I didn't NEED for you to win that fight; I needed YOU.

Stick knows that Foggy is the main obstacle standing between Matt Murdock and his "destiny." Foggy, at the end of the day, is Matt's emotional anchor and keeps im in touch with the "real world" AKA the world of emotionally healthy people who aren't in secret wars that require a desire to eradicate your enemy in any way possible.

Stick tries to get rid of Foggy- either through blackmail, trying to manipulate him into thinking Matt doesn't like/love him, trying to scare him off. It eventually escalates into trying to put Foggy into real danger.

Foggy's not going anywhere, and he's not amused.

Daredevil is furious.

This is the first time creating a request, so I hope it's not too creepy....If it's possible, I would really like if if something happened to Matt, be it him getting sick or some injury, that has made things a little difficult in the BM department. I'd really like it if he goes to someone for help, preferably Foggy, because we all know how much he hates hospitals, and Foggy's solution is a suppository. Matt is not happy. So I know that there are a lot of "Foggy is a mutant" prompts floating around, but this one isn't about him having powers so much as Matt assisting him with an Inhuman transformation similar to the one we see Skye go through on AoS, and what kind of powers he might develop based on his personality and how he deals with not being human anymore.

In the Marvel comics universe, a massive terrigen gas release from the Inhuman city turned an enormous number of New Yorkers into Inhumans, causing pandemonium. Or, you could follow up the AoS hints at the end of the season if you wanted that headed in a similar direction. I don't care how it happens, but I want to see the after-effects of Foggy becoming Inhuman.

Does Matt enlist his old friend Mary Sue through SHIELD to help Foggy through it?

Does Foggy end up becoming Daredevil's new sidekick eventually?

Do the two of them try to keep it a secret? Can they, depending on how extreme the transformation is?

For some reason in my brain he develops empathic abilities similar to Matt's extended senses but for people's feelings which helps him bond further with Matt, but I'm not going to be too picky about the specifics of how the prompt gets filled. I just think it'd be an interesting story, no matter how it gets done.

What if the big betrayal is he hears Fisk and Vanessa discussing what they're going to do to Matt's loved ones in a very unspecific way that sounds vaguely threatening, and then they go something like "and then we'll take care of Matt" etc and Matt immediately assumes they're going to abduct/murder him and his friends and oops, nope, turns out Fisk and Vanessa were actually making arrangements to keep them safe because they actually do care about Matt, but they're just so creepy he's honestly been expecting them to fuck him over and he immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion?

OP: okay you got me I was willing to settle for gen but the deepest desire of my heart is in fact Owen Grady fucking Matt Murdock up against a wall or something, argh, wtf is wrong with me.

(I forget the exact line, but Owen says something like "it's not about control, it's about a relationship/trust," and if THAT could also make its way into his interactions with Matt, that would be. uh. i might actually die.)
