Oh wow, this could be so good - especially since as a disabled adult, the state would probably frown on him as a parent since he would be "less capable" of looking after a sighted child...

I bet Foggy would help with Matt getting custody of the child too, since the only other option would be the system, and Matt knows what that's like and doesn't want to let his cousin/niece/nephew go through that like he did.

Darling... this story is beyond awesome! And I say that as a person who spent the last night binge-reading it like a maniac. *nods*
Matt and Foggy are simply perfect! Their relationship is just so intense, and got even more so (and I don't only mean the romance part here), and you wrote it so very well! Such great work with their characters, and really, I turned into goo every time Matt and Foggy became them. I'm just utterly and totally in love with those two!
I also really enjoyed every interaction with the Avengers, as short as they were you nailed it every time! And your Thor was awesome (I hate pop-tart-munching-dunce-comedy-relief!Thor with a fiery passion)!

Thanks so much for this awesome fill!!!

Daredevil vs Scarecrow would be amazing!! especially Arkham Knight Scarecrow - he is terrifying!!

what is really interesting about this scenario is that blind people who were once sighted CAN have visual hallucinations as they are formed in the brain - not the eyes. WHAT WOULD MATT SEE ON FEAR TOXIN!!!

(sorta? it's mostly matt whump? i don't really know what this is, it kinda turned into brett/matt if you squint)

The first time Brett pulls Matt out of a hostage situation, he doesn't really think much of it.

Then it happens again.

And again.

And again.

He begins to wonder, does Daredevil have a thing against blind guys? Against Matt Murdock? Because seriously, Brett is starting to feel bad for the guy, if he's lost track of the broken bones and hospital trips, he can't imagine what's it like for Matt.

"Foggy, I'm in the middle of the case, I don't have time for this."

"Brett, it's Matt. He said he was going to be out of town for a few days clearing an estate, but I haven't been able to get ahold of him since yesterday, and I went to his apartment and it looks like the door was broken in." Foggy's voice is tinny over the line, but the exhaustion and worry is audible.

"Shit, not again. Give me ten and I'll be over there with a crime scene tech."

It's another 36 hours before they manage to find him, a crumbling warehouse along the river.

When Brett sees Matt's body, suspended from a beam by his wrists, he's glad Matt's unconscious.

"You need to get yourself a body guard Murdock." Is the first thing Brett says to Matt when the doctors slowly bring him out of the anesthesia.

"Or a better cop." Is the mumbled reply.

"Sleep it off Murdock, you're going to be in here awhile."

(Author anon here). Just wanted to let you know I haven't abandoned this fic. I'm just having a really really REALLY rough semester and trying to find a job in the real world so I can't spend as much time writing as I'd like. Sorry! I should be able to get back on track this summer.
