yesss. who else has been writing for this prompt, let's put all this stuff together and put it up on AO3.

Re: kind of a fill oops.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-07 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Anon from above - I was the one who wrote the bit about Peter wanting to kill the person who hurt Matt, Billy putting him to sleep and the others freaking out.

Re: Daredevil does Die Hard in Avengers Tower

(Anonymous) 2015-07-07 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Question: Would the OP object to a variation on this prompt? One in which Matt (just Matt, not Daredevil) ends up trapped in a building with a couple of the Avengers without them knowing he is Daredevil, and he for some reason is their only hope to get out. And he has to balance protecting his identity with saving everyone?

Re: FILL: The Best Defense 3/3

Ah, so you're who I have to blame thank for that bit of inspiration. XD

Eeee! Oh wow, thank you! :D

Heh, yeah, Matt was not happy about the cozying or the danger it might lead Foggy to face. The dialogue tag change was deliberate, so I'm pretty pleased that it was noticed. Thanks also for pointing out that line! Sort of sideswiped me in the writing, so good to know it worked.

Oh yay! I love protective Matt, so showing off that side of him here was awesome. And yeah, Foggy was the one that decided they had to do it, and he was the one that convinced Matt to do it despite the risks. (But come down to it, they're saving each other first and the world second.)

Foggy's last line was my original contribution to the prompt discussion, and I am so so delighted to be able to incorporate it. It made me grin like a fiend, even moreso now that people responded well! And Matt's laugh...well, Foggy's always been able to make Matt laugh. It's one of the reasons they're so well matched. <3

Thanks for taking the time to read and leave this amazing comment! :D

*wails* But the other one is going to be epic and angsty and hard to write! (But God, if it isn't fascinating.)

Not OP, but I am so here for this!

Re: kind of a fill oops.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-07 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
OP here, also wrote the kind-of fill here, and the starting minifill with Spider-Man, along with Matt getting kidnapped, Gwen and Peter's reunion, and Peter getting kidnapped and then rescued.

I enjoyed Shadowland, but it's got plot holes you could drive a truck through.

Fill: Disheveled, Matt/Wesley

(Anonymous) 2015-07-07 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Warnings: voyeurism with consent, voyeurism without consent, mild bondage, mild violence.

Matt heard him approaching long before the door handle clicked. He was able to hide himself in a nook between filing cabinets before Wesley entered the office.

Really, Matt should probably have made a break for it, but for all he knew Wesley would be in and out in moments, and Matt could continue seeking the information he needed. If he were discovered, Matt could knock the man over and escape before any alarms were sounded.

Wesley sat down behind his desk, barely ten feet away from Matt’s current location. He powered up his laptop and began typing.

Matt bit back a sigh of frustration. He could very well be hidden here all day, if Wesley was getting work done. Maybe he should have jumped out the window after all.

Wesley abruptly closed his laptop. Matt eagerly waited for the sounds of Wesley leaving the office.

Instead, he heard the sound of a zipper being undone.

Matt felt a blush creep across his face. This was not exactly an unusual occurrence, with his abilities he heard plenty of things he wished he hadn’t – and some he had taken guilty pleasure in overhearing – and considering the number of people in New York City, he heard it quite a lot. The sounds of flesh on flesh were among many of the cacophony of life in a city. They shouldn’t have bothered him anymore, he should have been numbed to their effects, the mortification of overhearing someone’s most intimate moments.

But, for one reason or another – the Catholicism, Matt suspected – they still elicited the same childish spike of shame inside of him. He wasn’t supposed to listen to people doing things like that. He wasn’t supposed to feel a flush of pleasure in response to their sounds.

Wesley was caressing himself, running his fingers over the fabric of his pants, up underneath his shirt. His pulse was quickening, his breathing was becoming more erratic, more audible.

Matt found himself wondering if Wesley was always like this, whether he always took his time, or if this occasion was somehow special. He squashed the thought quickly, not wanting to dwell on such matters any more than he already had to.

Wesley made a satisfied sound, not quite a moan, and unbuttoned the lower half of his shirt. He loosened his tie one-handed, slid his other hand down his belly to cup at his balls.

He hadn’t touched his dick yet at all, Matt realized. Matt wished he didn’t know that, wished he’d jumped out the window before Wesley arrived.

The underwear Wesley wore was silk, starting to grow damp with precome. Matt could smell that, felt his own cock twitch in sympathy at how Wesley was somehow managing to neglect himself. Horror washed over Matt, a sickening feeling settling in the pit of his stomach. He was not going to enjoy this, that would truly be shameful.

Wesley’s breath hitched, and he wrapped one hand around his erection. His non-dominant hand, Matt noted, trying desperately to focus on something besides what he was being forced to listen to.

There were more sounds now, labored breathing and the slick sound of Wesley’s fingers sliding over his cock again and again. Wesley groaned, his breathing replaced with strained gasps as his strokes slowed in speed and lessened in pressure. He was slowing down, trying to hold off, prolong his enjoyment.

Wesley was a dignified man. He way he bore himself in daily life, the way he spoke, his mannerisms. The way he smelled, clean and expensive but not overbearingly so. His clothes, expertly tailored and never out of place. Matt had been able to sense all of that about the man, during their various encounters.

And there he was, not ten feet away, becoming steadily more and more disheveled.

Matt thought of Wesley’s hair tousling, from the sweat he could smell, could practically taste from this close. Matt thought of Wesley’s steady posture slumping, his suit wrinkling. He thought of all that skin exposed, with Wesley’s shirt opened up and his pants inched down over his thighs.

And all of the sudden, it was simply too much to bear.

Matt walked up behind Wesley, reached down, and gripped the man’s shoulder, just where the collar of his shirt ended. “Put your hands on the desk.”

Wesley froze. His heart rate spiked, he shifted slightly, tensing, preparing to –

Matt moved his grip from the shoulder to the throat, and put his other hand on the side of Wesley’s head. With enough force, enough pressure, he could snap the man’s neck easily from this position. He wouldn’t, but it was an effective threat.

Wesley slumped, ever so slightly. He slid his hands onto the desk, shaking, still hard, terror and arousal and anger making his pulse race faster.

Matt could hear it, feel it underneath his fingers.

Carefully, he undid Wesley’s tie, one handed, keeping a grip on Wesley’s throat. This action brought another surge of fear to Wesley. He tried to stand, to wrench free of Matt’s grasp.

Matt wrapped an arm around Wesley’s neck and squeezed just enough to be painful. He felt the fight go out of Wesley and let him got, let him slump back into his chair.

“I’m not going to kill you.” Matt promised.

Wesley huffed a laugh, just shy of panic now. “And the Devil keeps his word?”

Matt ignored that. “Give me your right hand.”

Wesley did, shaking, no doubt imagining that it would be broken.

Matt looped the tie around it, binding Wesley’s right wrist to the arm of his chair.

Wesley moaned, then froze, face burning with shame, burning hot enough that Matt, so close, reeled from the heat.

Matt had intended to leave. That had been his aim, when he had left his hiding place. Now, though …

He stroked his fingers along Wesley’s bound wrist, waiting, listening.

Wesley gasped and squirmed in place before turning his head away from his arm, away from Matt.

Matt withdrew his hand. He felt he was balancing on a knife’s edge, suspected that even speaking might shatter the moment.

Wesley was panting again, his erection hadn’t flagged at all during this altercation. “Please …” he whispered. “Please …” he shook his head.

Matt leaned down, breath ghosting over Wesley’s ear. He took a risk. “Continue.”

Wesley let out a choked whimper of a sound. “Fuck you,” he gasped, before reaching down and resuming his strokes. “Fuck you,” he growled, his words trailing off into a moan as he sped up and pressed harder.

Matt just listened. Being closer, the scents and sounds were almost overwhelming. The tang in the air of Wesley’s sweat and precome, his labored gasps of breath, the wet sounds as he crept closer and closer to the brink.

Was it that Wesley enjoyed an audience? Was it the fear at the threat of violence? Had it been the feel of hands on him – so readily able to do him harm?

Or was it, perhaps, Matt himself? Was Wesley excited by the close proximity and observation of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen?

Matt wanted, desperately, to ask. But he also knew that asking would ruin this, whatever it was.

He also knew that acknowledging the arousal thrumming through his own body would ruin everything too.

“Oh … oh … god …” Wesley groaned. He was close, his pulse was racing madly, his heartbeat was almost deafening to Matt’s ears.

Matt wanted to touch him. Wanted to yank Wesley’s tousled hair, press his lips to Wesley’s gasping mouth, sink his teeth into the crook of Wesley’s neck.

Instead, he stayed stock still as Wesley came, listening to every sound.

Wesley hissed through his teeth like he was in pain, and exhaled long and low, deeper than his previous moans. He wiped his hand on his belly lazily, chest heaving. Wesley slumped further down in the chair, heartbeat pounding, sweat cooling on his skin.

“Do you want me to … take care of you?” disgust dripped from every syllable.

Matt flinched away. “No. I … no.” He didn’t want that, he didn’t want Wesley to think he was being threatened into any action.

“Then go.” Wesley straightened up. “Unless your goal was to humiliate me before killing me?”

“No,” Matt backed towards the window. He shouldn’t have done that, any of it. He shouldn’t have emerged from his hiding place.

Matt climbed out the window, trying to forget all that he had witnessed, and knowing that he never would.

Re: Matt/Matt, abusive relationship

OP- oh, I can totally see that. MCU!Matt definitely has a controlling streak and I can only imagine it would be worse if he's dealing with someone who is not just him, but a version of him who's as badly broken as post-Shadowland!Matt.

That was not at all where I expected this piece to go, but I'm very glad it did. That was super hot and, wow, turns out that implied death-threats are a kink of mine. The dynamic you wrote really struck a cord.

Matt Murdock’s Halfway House for Troubled Teenage Superheroes

(Anonymous) 2015-07-07 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
He doesn’t mean to take Spider-Man home with him. It just kind of...happens. Firstly because Spider-Man is way out of his territory -- Matt is a little bit impressed that he’s managed to make it all the way out to Hell’s Kitchen considering it’s a school night. Secondly Spider-Man is, well, out on a school night when he’s clearly no older than sixteen, and it doesn’t feel right to shove him off towards home when blood is soaking through his mask like that.

Thirdly, Matt feels responsible. It isn’t Spider-Man’s fault that Leap-Frog doesn’t have a sense of humor so he shouldn’t be punished for taking on what amounts to Matt’s out of control pet.

He leaves Vinnie Patilio tied up for the cops to find. Matt feels extra spiteful because of the damage done to Spider-Man’s poor head and leaves Patilio in his stupid costume. That’ll make it up to Brett a little for having to carry the guy back to the station. (God he can’t believe this guy has a pseudonym like Leap-Frog. At least Matt has some dignity about the whole thing.)

Then Matt calls Claire, because what else can he do?

“Hey. It’s me. Uh-- no, it’s not for me this time. I’ve got a...colleague? that needs attention. Yes, I’m being serious.” Matt frowns and uses his free hand to touch Spider-Man’s head. The mask is too, too wet and the teenager groans under Matt’s touch. “He’s bleeding from his head. It’ll take ten minutes and then --” Matt hits on inspiration. “-- and then I’ll take him home with me! We’ll be out of your business in no time!”

This would eventually prove to be a mistake. Matt has no idea what kind of person Spider-Man is and he has no idea how this decision will launch several bombshells into his life later on.

Right now he doesn’t care. It’s the right thing to do.

He hauls Spider-Man a few streets down to Claire’s place. When Spider-Man wakes up to Claire stitching his head wound closed, Matt finds out that his name is Peter Parker, he’s fifteen years old, he’s still in high school, his favorite subjects are chemistry and physics, Claire is really pretty and wow my head hurts, can I take something for that?

“This is your fault,” Claire hisses out of the corner of her mouth.

“No it isn’t!” Matt hisses back. Wait. It isn’t his fault, right? He’s not responsible for headstrong teenagers and their stupid, stupid ways. Spider-Man made headlines before Daredevil did anything bigger than beat up pickpockets.

“I’m right here you know,” Peter says. “Do you mind if I throw up? I’m pretty sure I’m gonna throw up in a second. My head hurts, it really really hurts.”

Matt is sheepish enough to promise that he’ll buy Claire a new rug. She accepts but only on the condition that he takes Peter home with him. As for himself, Peter feels thoroughly wretched about the whole thing, enough that he actually offers up his pittance of an allowance to help pay for that new rug. Matt promises to consider it and takes him back to the loft.

It’s a strange night spent there. Matt gingerly lets Peter inside, listens to the muffled “holy shit!” when the billboard gets spotted. Peter promises that he doesn’t need the bed or the couch, and proves his point by climbing the wall and spinning a web for himself in the corner of the ceiling to sleep in. Matt realizes at some point that his mouth has fallen open in shock, and he shuts it with a snap.

“Do you need to check my pulse or anything?” Peter asks.

“Don’t worry about it,” Matt reassures him. “If anything happens to you, I’ll know.”

“That’s not creepy at all Mr. Daredevil.”

Matt scowls. “Go to sleep,” he says in what he hopes is an authoritative voice. “You have school in the morning.”

“Yes, dad.”

The night is a fitful one. Matt sleeps in starts and gaps while listening to Peter Parker’s heartbeat and breathing. Eventually, around six, he finally falls asleep, only for his alarm to wake him an hour later. Irate, he drags himself out of the bedroom, hacking and spitting in that way that always drove Elektra up the wall, and helps himself to the pot of coffee that mysteriously made itself before he woke completely.

There’s a note beside it. Matt tugs off his gloves with his teeth and tries tracing the letters but the indents are faint, and he can catch a faint T and an S. He glares at nothing and resolves to take it to work with him.

“Foggy!” He’s too loud and too grumpy but God forgive him, he’s running on only one hour of sleep and his adolescent charge disappeared before Matt could make sure he was okay. Matt shoves the note in Foggy’s face. “What does this say?”

“Hi Matt. Good morning to you too. Lovely day we’re having, isn’t it? It’s doing wonders for your attitude.” Matt groans and waves the note again. “Okay, okay, give it here.”

Foggy reads it. He reads it again.

“Holy shit Matt, it -- it says -- ‘Hey pal, thanks for the lift, my head am doing think now good. Let’s do this again sometime -- your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man?!’”

“There was another line,” Matt insists. “I felt it.”

“Yeah it’s -- it’s a phone number. Whoa, I think he just gave you permission to text him.”

Matt frowns, trying to work out why Spider-Man would want to text him when he feels his phone buzz in his pocket. This is when he remembers he left his phone on the counter to charge before suiting up last night.

The phone buzzes again. And again. And again. Matt forces his numbing lips apart and says, “Oh, no, what have I done.”

OP here. I'm. Uh. Do you know me? Because that was literally every single one of my kinks. The description of Wesley "becoming more and more disheveled", the bound wrist, Matt's hand on Wesley's throat...that's every one of my kinks. Dear lord.

Hats off to you.

[FILL] Moths and Flames [4/?] - REVISION

(Anonymous) 2015-07-07 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
A!A here, and WHOOPS - apparently I made a cut/paste error in my Google doc and accidentally moved two lines nonsensically to a later section! That last part should read so:

Hopping onto a fire escape, the Devil looked back down at him. “He’s scared, Foggy. Talk to him. Please.”

The Devil’s voice cracked. It was just for a moment, just a loss of that gravelly edge, but it was enough.

Foggy narrowed his eyes.

With that he was gone, and Foggy was left with a massive headache and a growing suspicion of something even more ridiculous and improbable than the ninja lying fifteen feet away.

Brilliant way to fill the prompt, imho. I love it.

That was not at all where I expected this piece to go, but I'm very glad it did.
Yay! Thank you for the comment!

That was super hot and, wow, turns out that implied death-threats are a kink of mine.
Glad to be of service helping you discover that! : D
That's a kink of mine. Well, to a darker degree, but yeah. So, welcome to the club!
I almost wrote Matt much darker for this, but then I backed off of that idea because I wasn't sure the prompter would be ok with something that dark. So like, there's the implications of violence but Wesley keeps going of his own volition, for whatever reason, but not because Matt orders him to.

The dynamic you wrote really struck a cord.
Oh thank goodness! I really like this pairing but there's so many ways to write the characters, not all of them appealing to me personally. So I went with something I knew I liked and hoped others would enjoy it.

Hah! I mean, I might know you, depending on which fandoms we share, but statistically probably not?
So pleased you liked it! I was nervous because there weren't a ton of details in your prompt and I kept thinking "what if they hate Matt/Wesley" or "what if they just wanted Wesley masturbating and no one watching" or "what if I wrote Matt too dark and didn't trigger warn properly oh no."

Stroke of luck hitting your favorite kinks! Those are some of mine as well, I wrote what I found hot and hoped for the best.

The description of Wesley "becoming more and more disheveled"
Well why else ask for a fic about Wesley masturbating. ; ) I mean really, show me a man who looks like he's modeling corporate culture's fall fashions, who never loses his cool, who's always so in control, and I'm gonna want to see him get wrecked.

Thanks so much for the comment, and the prompt! This was fun to write and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
