Foggy doesn't necessarily mind that he is Matt's best friend, only family (legally next of kin and holding POA) and confident. There is only so much he can offer. In a fit of pique he gives Matt an ultimatum, they go to therapy (because you're not going alone I know you Murdock) or He goes.

Their therapist is surprised by the amount of issues Matt has.

XD I like yours. It's nice seeing the encounters from everyone's perspectives.

Mine actually started out as a temptation to write a serious Matt/Daredevil fic...I'm not quite sure how it managed to turn into what it is now...XD

There's like, some really tiny wizened old man who is somehow still running the grocers, and he's all like "Matthew, come and help an old man with this heavy box, ey?" while making weird gestures to his costumers, and Matt helps while being immensely confused as to why the whole shop has suddenly moved to glower out of the window at a pro-registration pick-up van.

This is lovely, with a lovely title.

...So Matt gets these sandwiches and through serendipity all but one get ruined. So he only ends up eating one sandwich and ends up with only a mild case of poisoning? Am I parsing this correctly, anon?

Pick any character(s) you like. Try to think of their top 3 or top 5 or top whatever most important objects in the world. What's the story behind them?

Just looking for a bit of character study. Make me cry, meme. Or make me squee. Just hit me with your best shot.

Whether you choose to include any ships/romance is totally up to you, I'm pretty open-minded, but gen is fine.

truth: the whole thing started bc I got into a discussion with an anon and then ended up filling my own prompt. it's great, I've got another story in the series chugging along.

Oh, man, I'm right in the middle of writing something very similar to this right now, except that I thought it was for a "Foggy-Whump" prompt back in Prompt Post #1. But this sounds like you've been sneaking onto my computer and reading my stuff! (Okay, so some of the details are different, but still.) I'll be posting this as soon as it's finished, but can't estimate the time.

Yep, often forgotten over our love for cinnamon roll Matty:

Nobody is perfect, and Matthew Michael Murdock can be a really stupid bag of dicks and often has the interpersonal skills and subtlety of a skunk, and I love it when the show acknowledges that.

If it were sight-specific things, rather than just experiences, it'd be even better.

I mean, I can see and I've never seen a live elephant or been to the Grand Canyon either. And going to the beach is as much to do, if not more, with feeling the sand between your toes and swimming than it is about seeing it.

Things like artwork or movies; or seeing what he looks like as he grows older, etc.

XD I needed a way to differentiate the universes from each other and figured that since I had Mike fall off the Bifrost, he could probably smell the difference, so...

And besides, who better to look after you then yourself?

Anyways, I can gush about this au all day long and there's a tag on my tumblr specifically for it, but I don't wanna take up more thread space.

Matt's a lot more honest with Foggy about his life since Foggy found out about Daredevil. He tells Foggy about the accident, and his dad. He tells Foggy about Stick. Some of the things he said. What he tried to teach Matt.

Foggy decides he immediately HATES the man.

So, since he can't beat him up for Matt's sake, he sets about trying to prove Stick's whole 'nice things will kill you, you don't need people' BS as a load of rubbish. Namely by trying to make Matt's life the best it could be.

Bonus if there's a scene where Foggy's in a shop or something and aggressively mutters 'I'll show you 'surrounded by soft things' you asshole' as he buys arm-fulls of silk/ really feathery cushions / actual stuffed toys to decorate Matt's apartment with.

Anyone else love this series by Garth Nix? I'm trying to imagine a world where Matt is the line of defense between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Maybe the bells are too loud for him to use, what with his super-hearing. What would he use? Would the other characters have roles as well--would Foggy be a Wallmaker? Is Claire a... Clayr? Is Karen descended from the royal line?

Not working against the prompt, just trying to help out potential fillers: Ethnicity/race are not purely visual concepts. Making that accusation unfounded works best if you take other factors out of the picture. Like language, for example - if the person Matt's accused of discriminating against speaks AVEE, well... accusation still stands.
