God yes, THIS.

A lot of these fics seems to be IM2-era Tony (who was sick and dying and acting like a douchebag 1000% of the time).

I mean, Tony's thing is that he likes to dick around with people in positions of power, to show them they can't control him. And he's kind of hyper on top of being super intelligent, but all you have to do is look at how he interacted with Bruce in Avengers to see what a kind and curious person he is.

I think Tony would needle Matt a bit in the same good-natured way he does with all his friends, and then go nuts working on assistive tech for him because that's what he does for his friends (and also, because he's scary smart and likes a challenge).

Also, ALSO, I think Tony (and Steve, come to think of it) would probably make it a point to make sure crime in NYC was being better handled if Matt took them to task for the effects of "The Incident." Tony's got a guilt complex a mile wide and nothing burns him worse than bad things happening because of him, directly or indirectly.

Some of those fics might be fallout because of the new Superior Iron Man comic where Tony Stark pretty much rapes Matt by knocking Matt unconscious and non-consensually giving Matt his sight back, holding him prisoner, then wiping Matt's memory so he wouldn't remember anything Tony did to him. A lot of fans are very upset about it.
