  3. Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP post.

  4. Warnings are nice, but not necessary.

  5. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing, kink, general wants).

  6. All types of prompts are welcome.

  7. Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill. Multiple fills are always okay.

ATTENTION KINKMEMERS: We have some new rules.
  • There's now a WIP post in addition to the Fills post. Fills post is now only for completed fills (and one-shots, and minifills). Unfinished fills and updates go on the WIP post. When you finish it, you can put a link to the whole thing in the Fills post.

  • Prompts can only be reposted once one round has passed - i.e., prompts from post #2 cannot be reposted until post #4. Please include a link to where it has been previously posted.

Come talk to me on the mod post if you have any questions <3

ATTENTION KINKMEMERS 2: Late heads up for anyone not on the discussion post - we're closing this post and starting the fill fest when it reaches 4000 comments, which, as of writing, is in 17 comments time. Get any prompts you desperately need in soon!

Gen, Foggy+/ Matt + Thor, You ARE the (many times great grand)father.

Partially inspired by the phrase "blonde viking of vengeance" in the earlier prompt.

So in the first Thor movie it's implied that Thor has been to earth before but it's been at least a few hundred years. Well, what if he had a fling or a one night stand the last time he was on earth and his many times great grandson is.... Foggy?

Maybe uber-great-granny knew that her baby wasn't her husbands child, maybe her husband was home soon enough after the date of conception that she thought it was his, whatever, but the secret of her liaison with Thor died with her.

So everything is cool Foggy's going to some Avengers gig with Matt and for the first time Thor is back on earth since Foggy started getting invited to these things and somehow Thor realizes that Foggy is partially Asgardian. Things go sideways from there.

As the op of the prompt that used the term: "Blond viking of vengeance" I am just going to be over here screeching - but also seconding this with the passion of a thousand dying suns.

Holy crap, this combined with the idea that Foggy can lift Mjolnir sounds like the best thing ever.

Not to mention JANE'S thoughts on all this. She signed up for stars and science, dangit, not all this crap.

[MINIFILL] Gen, Foggy+/ Matt + Thor, You ARE the (many times great grand)father.

The raven-haired woman had gone to the sacred grove when the full moon was high overhead, called out to the god of thunder, the god of storms, the god of giving life to all things barren, all things that refused to grow.

Three times, now, she'd been delivered of a son. Small and weak and stillborn, each of them. It was a bloody business, and she'd never forgotten the smell of blood and the taste of her own salt tears on her face. Then, later, when the midwife had gone (a small, wrapped bundle in her arms, so still, so very still) the sting of her husband's slap across her face.

"You've hips enough for birthing, woman!" He'd growled, the final time. "And yet you fail at this one simple task!"

The shame of her failures had been immense, unbearable. She'd felt as if all of the village had watched her, and their pity had been worse than their fear. Pregnant women avoided her, she'd come to realize. She was like a disease.

So in desperation, she'd called upon the power of the gods. Cleansed herself in the flowing stream seven times, scrubbed at her skin until she was raw and red and tingling. It was midsummer, and down below the bonfires were still raging. Her husband would be drunk and insensible; he'd remember only what she told him, and she'd rehearsed what she'd tell him--

'You found me in our bed, my husband.' She practiced a docile, downcast gaze. 'You came upon me, took your husbandly rights. Do you not remember?'

She took a deep breath of the cooling night air, and cast aside her cloak, standing bare and proud in the moonlight. There were streaks of silver on her belly, the lash-marks of carrying her three sons, without sons to show for them.

Tonight, her grief would end. By one way or the other. In her left hand she held a finely-honed dagger; if the god did not deem her worthy, she would spill her blood one last time upon the grass, here in his sacred grove.

"Loud-rider!" She called to the darkness. "One who rides alone! Hear me!"

There was no answer.

"Wielder of Mjolnir! Great Loud-thunderer!" She licked her lips. "Hear me!"

She shivered. Was it her imagination, or were those clouds rolling in from the distant sea? She felt her heart begin to race, felt something like static on her skin.

"True one! Guard of the shrine, hear your servant's prayer!" Her voice sounded desperate but still she called out. "Grant me your gift, I beg of you!"

Lighting flashed out over the sky.

In one moment, she was alone in the grove. The next, there was a man standing before her.

No--not a man. A god.

"Woman." He said, his voice a low rumble. "I have heard you. Speak."

Without another thought, she dropped to her knees. "Great one--I do not ask for your power in battle, nor for the destruction of those who oppose me. I ask only for... for your..."

"Speak." He sounded faintly amused by her; she could feel his gaze upon her, suddenly aware of what power she had invoked, what arrogance, to think she could speak to a god, ask him--

"Your grief is near to you, although your losses have happened some time ago." He continued. "Woman, you are brave, to call on me for this."

"I do not feel brave." She said, feeling tears slide down her cheeks.

"And yet you brought a dagger with you on this night." He drew one warm finger down the edge of her cheek, tilting her head up, meeting her gaze. "Was it to defend yourself, or for some other purpose?"

"I have tried, three times, to give my husband a son." The woman said. "Three times, and they have all been... if I do not give him a son, he will take my life. Or worse--cast me out, for me to live a pitied life, scorned and mocked for my failures. I am no valiant warrior, my lord. But I know my blade will strike true, and he will not get the satisfaction of sending me away, if I fail once more."

The god before her seemed to consider this. She watched him, enthralled by his blue, blue eyes, like the color of the sky after the storm. He almost seemed to be smiling down at her. Then, to her shock, he knelt before her.

"My lord--"

"You have a valiant heart." He said, hand trailing down her collarbone, down to graze the edge of her breast with the back of his knuckles, a touch that made her shiver. "And you are not lacking in courage. I will grant you what you ask."

"I--" She swallowed, suddenly overwhelmed by his nearness, by his unexpected kindness.

"Only you must promise me this." He continued. "There will come a time when your son, your son's son, down and down and down, he will be called to serve me. You must swear to me that you will tell him of his true lineage, and do not deny his descendants this knowledge."

"I swear it." She said.

Lightning arced overhead, and she felt herself fall backwards upon the soft grass. Above her, the moon hung full and heavy, pregnant with possibility. And the god above her--within her--granted her not only his spark of life, but true pleasure...

//

(several hundred years later)

"Whoa, dude, this replica is totally accurate!" Foggy reached down, wrapped his hands around the leather-wrapped handle of the truly sweet Mjolnir laying on the ground. "Matt, c'mere, you gotta check this--"

Without warning, thunder rumbled in the sky above Hell's Kitchen.

"Mortal, what are you--"

Foggy looked up. Right into the eyes of a very surprised, very blonde, and very identifiable superhero.

"No, dude, my bad, here, you just take this right back--" Foggy felt the hairs on the back of his neck start to stand up. Without warning, Thor reached out, Mjolnir flying into his grip. "--and I'll just, ok, how did you do--"

"How were you able to lift Mjolnir?" Thor sounded equal measures pissed and impressed, which with a guy built like him, was only a hair shy of shit-your-pants terrifying.

"I just... saw it on the ground, I didn't realize--"

"The hammer has deemed you worthy." Thor narrowed his eyes at the smaller, blonde mortal. "What is your name?"

"F-Foggy." He gulped. "Foggy Nelson."
