I use it but I tend to have the same problem- My timezone is such that I'm in the room when most of the meme would be asleep or in the middle of their day.
Keep trying anon! Surely we can get more people into it. =)
Would it make sense to set up a fixed time for a regular get-together? I sometimes check the chat, but I've never actually found anyone there to talk to.
So I did some basic maths. 3 pm US Central time is approximately 9 pm the same day in central Europe and 7 am the next day on the east coast of Australia, which is just about the only reasonable time for these three areas. I tried looking for the poll results link but a brief search failed.
So. 1. Are there any other time zones that I should be considering? 2. How does a US Saturday next week (18th Jul) meet-up at the times above sound as a start? (3. Does anyone have the link to the poll results?)
OP of times: My maths was a bit rushed and I may have made a slight mistake and forgotten about Summer/Daylight Saving. So Europe will have to stay up a bit later (I believe it is around 11 pm?)

In the future it may be more convenient to have two times as EU and AUS are not fun to co-ordinate.
So that was kind of a success? It was awesome hanging out with you guys!
For next week, we might try something a little different.
As a general meeting time, we'll start at 6 PM UTC/GMT+0 on Sat (25th Jul) and go for 6 hours (check out this page to find out what time it is for you http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=dd+chatroom+meeting+time+&iso=20150725T18&p1=1440&ah=6)
6 hours is a long time, and I'm sure as hell not going to be there from 4 am my time, so if you're not there when it starts but still want to join in the fun, I propose a second meeting time halfway through (9 PM UTC/GMT+0), so there's a guarantee that there'll still be people in there about halfway through, who'll probably stick it out to the end of the 6 hours.
Hopefully that'll mean more people are able to get in when there are people!
I had tons of fun with you guys. Thanks for hanging out! I'll try to be there next week, but this time I can't stay until 2 am. I am sooooo jet-lagged today. :-P
(DA) Those are all different options for connecting to the same chatroom. There is only one place but they've given us different options; so the more chatroom savvy can get in how they like and those of us who aren't so savvy can get in easily enough and not be excluded. =)
